    Brittle dark chocolate! Woo. :)
    Ivan S.

Ok so maybe it's just me and I am a little biased, but I love me some SEE'S CANDIES chocolates. Classic confection. I love the dark chocolate/milk chocolate bars wrapped in gold aluminum 4 square. Yum, I literally feel like a teenager in a chocolate store! I'm so glad that these little stud chocolates still exist! HA. I had a gift card from like at least 2 Xmas's ago to redeem and I found the perfect treat to eat. California Brittle! Muah, perfecto! When I went the cashier was nice and helpful and checked the balance on my gift card just by asking. Woo. This particular store is big and like maybe 70% is open space, 30% space retail. Just one small wall, counter and like two pillars of candy like an L shape. Ahoy! Sealed the deal 5 s review and gets my chocolate desire off the list! Enso#14 SAMPLES. Orange bon bon is so darn good! Friendly AND nerdy. Whoa. Tons of chocolate sold by the dozen/pack/package also for Valentines day and football theme stuff too for Superbowl 2020! Parking. No sweat. _Cho-co-late-y confection since 1921!

It was samples of their chocolate hazelnut which was delicious. The quality of the chocolate higher tier and you can taste it. You can also try samples of the other chocolates they have on display which is awesome. I tried their matcha dark and white chocolate fusion and it was so yummy. Perfect blend between the matcha and the chocolate flavors. You also can break the amount of chocolate that you want and it could even be as small as a sample size too. I believe the cost is by how much it weighs and the type of chocolate? I ended up getting the smaller pieces of the matcha chocolate and the hazelnut chocolate. It came out to be $11.47 for both the chocolates and I have attached a pic to show you. They nicely package it. I def recommend trying this place. The workers here are also very nice! I really appreciated how generous they were with samples, you can explore different flavors before deciding what to buy. I tried the hazelnut chocolate and loved it. They also had a wide variety to choose from, like Dubai chocolate, truffle milk, truffle caramel, and some nicely packaged gift sets with mixed flavors. Everything looked beautiful and tasted just as good. The quality really just... the best, and you can tell it's premium chocolate. You honestly can't go wrong here, whether to buy for yourself or choosing gift (and chocolate makes the best gifts). It's definitely a spot I'd come back to when I want to buy gifts for my family!

A pricey little box, but for this quality, it's to be expected. I sampled Vietnamese coffee and raspberry yuzu. I much preferred the tartness of the raspberry yuzu. The Vietnamese coffee was more on the dense and darker side which I wasn't really feeling. I ended up getting a custom 6-piece box: raspberry yuzu (x2), rose water saffron (x2), and sesame praline (x2). The raspberry yuzu was extra yummy with the chocolate this time. The bitterness and tartness went well together. The sesame praline was interesting. The filling had a more crispy and gritty texture as a result from what appears to be sugar crystals. The sesame was nicely incorporated so that it wasn't overpowering. I really liked it. The rose water saffron was interesting. It definitely had floral and earthy notes. This is among their most popular flavors, but it just wasn't for me unfortunately. It slightly crossed the floral soap threshold for my taste buds. No matter, I know I will be back for the raspberry yuzu and sesame praline someday, and I hope to try other unique flavors they have as well.

You have plenty of options at VF, but Venchi holds a special place in my heart as it's not too heavy, not too sweet, and really has a flavor for everyone. My previous go-to was a certain store located outside known for unique flavors that rotate every month. Unfortunately, their flavors have gotten a bit too crazy for me, and are oftentimes so sweet that it's hard to finish a single portion without sharing. At Venchi, I can easily eat a regular size by myself and feel so satisfied after. One thing to know before you go is that you pay first before you sample, so you'll need to commit to how many flavors and what size you want before sampling. I highly recommend upgrading to the freshly made waffle cone. There's a lot of other options like adding chocolate and other toppings to your cone, but that's completely up to you. As for the sampling, the people working there are very patient and generous, and will let you sample to your heart's content! If you have specific preferences (like you prefer less sweet or maybe even more sweet), they're happy to share their recommendations as well. My go to is pistachio and cremino, which is like a more hazelnutty version of nutella (and also less sweet than nutella). PS - make sure to sign up for their rewards program! They're running a promotion where you get a free mini bar of chocolate with a purchase of $20. After spending $40, you'll start getting 5% off future purchases.

Even though the line wasn't long, it did take awhile to order. The service here is a bit slow since there are less workers compared to other gelato spots. The texture of this gelato is more thick and it wasn't too sweet. The hazelnut flavor paired well with the chocolate inside. I would definitely come back again!
