I fell in love with place the first time I had it. I was asked by a couple of friends if I wanted anything from Itz A Deli because they were taking a large order. Ok judging by the name figured it would be just like your typical mom and pop sandwich shop. I ordered from their paper menu and got the bacon egg and cheese croissant. Wasn't expecting much out of it. I was just hungry and didn't want to make a trip out. So I'm handed this paper bag and in it is my sandwich wrapped in yellow paper seeping with grease. To be honest it was kinda gross looking but most stuff is and turns out to be delicious. I unwrap my sandwhich and OMG it smelt wonderful. My mouth started watering as I stared down at this perfect croissant sandwhich. I take my first bite an heaven! I'm in love. It was perfect. I'm not as much of a heffer as I used to be so now I split the sandwiches with a friend. Itz A Deli is definitely my favorite sandwich shop. Great for breakfast and lunch. I order the same thing everytime so can't really tell you much about the other selections they have but they all sound yummy also. The prices are reasonable and everything is always fresh. I love this little deli!! The food is always delicious and put together nicely, we've never gotten anything just thrown together!! We normally stop for breakfast and see the gentleman working, I haven't caught his name, he is always so kind and remembers when we come in. He also cooks the food and you can can tell that he really takes pride in his deli. One morning we stopped by just after his daily bread delivery. It was smelled amazing, some were even still warm haha! The variety of breads is one of the reasons we love this place and the fact that we have never received anything tasting stale. My favorite is the ham, egg, and cheese croissant with avocado. My husband's favorite is the bacon breakfast burrito, some mornings he just wants eggs, potatoes, and cheese. The burritos are a decent size and the salsa is amazing as well! I went in recently for lunch, on a recommendation from a coworker. I was expecting this place to be unique in some way, but I found myself in a basic run of the mill deli. As I walked in there was a distinct smell of cleaning products everywhere. On one hand I'm glad it's clean, but the smell has strong and started to give me a headache. I ordered an Italian sausage sandwich with mushrooms and bell peppers. The sausages were microwaved in the back, then put on a high quality French roll. The food tasted good, but for $8.40 for a large sandwich the value isn't there. If you're starving and need food in a pinch this will do, but if you can wait take your money elsewhere. I think a husband and wife own/run this- they are both vey nice and make you feel very welcomed. Lots of selections, very fresh, and good size portions! This was our first visit to this deli. The people were very friendly. Our sandwiches were wonderful - chicken salad with cashews and sprouts on squaw bread and pastrami, turkey and cheese on rye. The macaroni salad was also yummy. Everything was so fresh, and even though it was fairly busy at lunchtime, our food came quickly. I thought the prices were reasonable, and I don't like spending a lot on food. If we are in the area again around a meal time, we will definitely return. read more

I went here the other day to try out this place since it had some o.k. reviews. I found first of all the girl at the front area there was non helpful. I asked If I could make my own choice of meats inside and she said I had to get one off the menu. I again said I can't just make my own and she said no! O.k. thanks for the non option! I almost walked out the door but since I was already there I tried there Sandwhich. The roll was very good and soft .I liked that part a lot. The meat on the other hand was cheap as it gets and they forgot to put cheese on my sandwhich on top of it. Keep in mind I was the only one there at the time and it was not a rush so my order should of been correct. I am over this place! Stopped here to grab breakfast to go with a coworker today on the way to the office. The woman at the counter was kind and showed us the breakfast sandwich board and I made a selection from there. The only thing I didn't like was that all the sandwiches come with mayo (which I hate! And think is especially odd for breakfast sandwiches.) and if someone isn't paying attention they may not notice that it says that. But anyway I ordered my sandwich sans mayo and it was so. GOOD. So good! They had a really great drink selection as well, lots of iced teas, juices, sodas, sparkling and regular waters, etc. The whole dining area was clean. She helped me with my order and when it was ready packed it up and gave it to me. She was smiling throughout my waiting for the sandwich. I got #51 the Wall Street Sandwich on french bread. I've been here twice as its close to my work ! And I absolutely love how light the sandwiches are ( I usually get the vegetarian ) I tried the squwa bread last time and oh boy is it yummy. Perfect for a quick and light lunch. There isn't much room to dine in with large groups so I usually get it to go especially when I'm headed to the airport. Highly recommend.
