Best tuna on rye with soup in town! I love High Park Deli. The service is ways quick, friendly and fresh.

Really a 3.75 stars. Walked up to the window, first timer. Discussed their tuna with (perhaps?) Connie, who was very charming. I asked if it was Albacore, (the King of Tunas and only what I ever order). She "stumbled" a little bit and then rapidly said, "Oh - no, no, no. We don't serve Albacore because it's a bottom-feeder." I asked then if they serve light-meat tuna and she said, "No". When I asked what KIND of tuna they serve, she replied she didn't know but that it was the one directly "below" Albacore (whatever that means). Well, sorry to inform you, but Albacore is NOT a bottom feeder! Never - (look it up). She nicely offered a 'sample' and then gave me a 1/2 tsp. to taste. It wasn't bad, actually, but I prefer white meat, Albacore. So, I proceeded to then order a "Club" sandwich with ham, turkey, avo and bacon instead. ($12.99?) I requested to replace the ham with add'l turkey instead. It was not with the extra slice of bread in the middle that a Club normally has. She volunteered it's a "very small" amount of avocado - she wasn't joking. Also, my sandwich was missing the bacon! I ordered the small side of cucumbers and my total was $18! That's high for a turkey and avo sandwich and small side of cukes. That sandwich was pretty good but missing the bacon did leave a gap. The sourdough was very fresh and soft. I will return and try a different sandwich. The lettuce & tomato tasted very fresh also. read more

I got the breakfast sandwich with Turkey. I was expecting your regular cheese meet and unseasoned egg. Not this one, they added this sauce that I can't put my finger on but it's really good.
