They not only came out and gave a quote, but said they could do it that same day! Way sooner than other places that gave quotes but wouldn't be available for a week or so. Some places wouldn't even do a job unless it was $2000 or more to make it worth their time, which my job was in the low $100s at best. They listened to my concern about another board that looked to have a portion rotted and they were able to include replacing the rotted part and not create additional seams between the boards--something I hadn't thought possible! When he was done he cleaned up the work areas beautifully and gave us tips for cleaning the tile and grout. He was a great communicator throughout the entire process, and he made sure our escape artist cat didn't dash out the door while he was going in and out to cut tile. I hired Eliab of The Good Tile to remove our 90s bleh kitchen floor tile, remove our backsplash…read moretile, and install over 300 square feet of new flooring tile plus new backsplash, and extensive accent wall tiling in the backsplash tile. My new floor tile has a pattern, and the backsplash tiles were 2.4" x 8" ceramic hand glaze ceramic tiles, and so neither would be easy to install unless the tile installer was very skilled. I thought the review photos on Yelp showed Eliab already has an extensive body of work done well, and I loved that he specializes in tile so I knew that he should be very competent at it. And he and his guys Salvi and Rafael were excellent! They worked hard and did very precise work. That was a ton of cuts and joints to line up perfectly with all that subway tile, and it looks wonderful. The cuts around light switches and power receptacles: also precise. He was as good as his word about showing up, doing it right, and cleaning up as they went. He earned my trust, was good to work with, and I would happily hire him again. I definitely recommend! I will post pictures for now as is - but keep in mind the construction is still going on so they will not look as great as they should. I'll try to remember to update our photos when the remodel is truly done.

There was no pressure to close the deal now or anything, just happy to answer my questions and let me make the decision. A few months later, I finally reached back out to start the work. Dustin promptly got me on the schedule. Austin then came out to verify everything and help make sure I had the materials I would need. The team always communicated very well. Made sure I knew when they would arrive and any impacts to the timeline, which included keeping me posted on shipping delays of our shower pan. Austin came in and on the first day, made sure to lay down tarps and other floor protection as needed to protect the parts not under construction. He made sure he understood my vision for the tile and then went to work. He dealt with common remodeling issues, like a slightly out of plumb wall, very well. Bottom line, Young Tile is an excellent partner who is well worth the value they are providing to your tile project.

Leon is professional, incredibly knowledgeable, customer-service oriented and just a wonderful person to do business with. I loved this guy so much, I insisted my fabricator use their quartz as well to finish out my new home build. Quartz is pretty much the same from manufacturer to manufacturer (imho)- but Midwest had everything I needed. I was happy to make sure Midwest got my business. I also felt like their pricing was very fair and reasonable. On our original visit to Midwest, we were lucky enough to have Christy Smeltzer assist us.
