We chose Iva Lee's to cater our recent July wedding and our guests had nothing but rave reviews of the food. I barely remember our food tasting, as we had to postpone once due to Covid, but we remember our choices tasting great, but you rarely hear "wedding food" to be delicious but this time, the food was EXCELLENT according to our guests-- from appetizers during cocktail hour on to dinner. The chicken and salmon were tender and juicy, the "creamy" mash potatoes lived up to its adjective! Everything was delicious. The whole team, particularly, Miya was super helpful and very responsive during the whole planning process especially since we had to rent out everything for our wedding (it was not included with the venue). I would choose zero stars if I could because they simply didn't even respond to my requests to cater my wedding. When I initially contacted them, they responded but after two emails they just stopped. I emailed them, called them, texted them, on multiple occasions and they just won't respond. My phone even noted that Lisa read my text and she still didn't respond. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. I know caterers for wedding are very busy so I was super patient and just kept trying to contact them. But to not even respond when I informed them I was highly interested and eager to put a contract in place because of their supposed good reputation. Iva Lee's is 1 of only 5 exclusive caterers allowed to be chosen to provide catering and bar services at my wedding venue. They surely know this and would hopefully be responsive to couples getting married there. After over a month, Iva Lees has not responded to my (spaced out attempts) to contact by phone, email, text, or their contact form. Absolutely 0 response, not even "sorry we are busy with a crazy wedding season, will respond next month", which would have been fine. Now we only have 4 caterers to choose from, one of those four being about $10,000 more than the rest, so really 3 choices to try to find something with food options we like, and a budget that works. Clearly this is not very helpful and very unprofessional, beware. read more

My brother in law and his family have a long history with Iva Lee's catering, especially for weddings. When hearing their family talk about their wedding, everyone was always excited to have Iva Lee's as the caterer. I didn't know how good they were until my sister's wedding. THEY WERE AWESOME. My sister and brother in law chose a Mexican buffet since everyone around here loves Mexican food and it's a lot more exciting than some chicken dish in a cream sauce. My only "complaint" is that you could not personalize an alcohol package. Some of the liquors that were offered they knew that the crowd would not like, and they wanted to add some and they could not do it. Outside of this little part, everything was flawless. The food was great and the staff was super friendly!!! They were professional in every part of the definition. As someone who has worked private parties/catering for 10+ years, I cannot say enough nice things about them and their product. On another note, Miya, the day-of coordinator, is probably one of the nicest, easy going, and the most qualified person I have ever met to do her job. The wedding was perfect, and it's all due to Miya. Consider yourself lucky and/or blessed if you get the opportunity to work with Miya. My husband and I divided our wedding planning tasks and he was in charge of finding a caterer. I have to say his decision on hiring Iva Lee's made him the best team mate of the whole process and our wedding day 10 times easier. All the food options including the hors d'oeuvres, salad entrees, and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. After the tasting, we were simply sad that we could only pick some of the choices but they were all so good! We used Iva Lee's for the catering and day of coordination for our wedding in October. From the moment that my fiancé and I went in for a tasting, the women that we interacted with were professional and efficient with our time. In between sampling the different options that we'd chosen, we went through the different options from the rental company (place settings, silverware, linens etc.) The venue that we held our ceremony and reception at requires a minimum of a day of coordinator for the wedding and while we looked at a couple of options we ultimately chose Iva Lee's to assist with the coordination as well. This was a wise decision because one of the biggest components of a wedding is the catering and since everyone worked for the same company, the communication lines were open. The owner of Iva Lee's Catering, Lisa, ended up being our day of coordinator and she did an amazing job. She is incredibly detail oriented, knowledgeable and decisive, all of which one wants on a day as important as their wedding. Haven't mentioned yet, but the food was delicious. We had the sea bass and New York steak duo and our guests loved the food! Seriously, hire them right now. I am a wedding planner and have had my business for 7 years and had the pleasure of working with Iva Lee's for the first time this past weekend. Before the event, they were extremely professional and helpful. On the day of the wedding, we had rain. The bride initially wanted to try and keep everything outside so the rental company had set all of the tables, etc. outside. When we arrived and realized that there was no way to keep the reception outside (it was raining) they didn't skip a beat and had their entire staff move the set-up inside. No complaining, just awesome movement to make it all happen. Right up to the ceremony we were going back and forth on whether to do it inside or out and they moved the chairs back and forth a few times with no questions asked. Their staff was awesome and so well prepared to handle any situation. Now the food. Their food was fantastic. The presentation was beautiful and both the fish and the steak were perfectly prepared (which is hard to do for 120 guests). The guests were raving about the quality and how fresh everything was. I cannot recommend this caterer enough. They were amazing to work with and know that if you have the opportunity to work with them you will be blown away! This was probably my favorite part of wedding planning--the tasting! Iva Lee's food is delicious, and it stood up on the day of the event. Many of my guests commented on how good the food was! I worked closely with Robyn on selections for not only food, but linens, rentals, and the flow of events for the evening. We had our wedding at The Villa in San Juan in a few weeks ago. Everything was so seemless! To have a caterer there and not even notice them setting up was wonderful. All the guests commented on how great the food was. They have a seasonal menu so you know everything they have is fresh and they care about details like that. This isn't just your run.of.the.mill dry chicken and a mound of flavorless potatoes on a plate. I literally ate my whole plate of food at the wedding. The way they even present their dishes is amazing! They were always really responsive to emails and let me come in and set up all my table decor to see if it all worked. I just love Iva Lee's! We got married at Casa Romantica in San Clemente and we chose Iva to do our catering. We worked with both Robyn and Lisa leading up to the big day and they held my hand/made it crazy easy. I had ZERO day of anxiety and I just floated around enjoying the moment. The staff greeted me as I came through the door after processing out of the ceremony with big smiles, congratulations, and trays of drinks (including champagne with lavender sprigs! I had to have it;). Like a flash we all had delicious appetizers in our hungry hands. Ir was pretty obvious at that point that things were going to go smoothly. Lisa let me know how things were going throughout the evening, but she didn't have to ask me any questions because she had gone through everything so thoroughly prior to the big day. She encouraged us to eat and I was so happy I did, the food was delicious! Tony the chef is gracious and he made an appearance and gave me a big hug (he is an old friend of mine). The catering team has an unreal amount of experience and it shows. All the staff looked classy and blended in, to be honest I didn't even notice most of what was going on, and that is the true mark of good service. At a wedding you want the staff to melt away and for it to be all about the guests. I used to do catering wait staffing myself and these people were on point. The bartenders were super cute (guys!) and sweet, fun. Lisa also followed us around and even assisted with photo styling and shuffling family members here and there for pictures. She does all the directing that you would have to do if she wasn't there so you can be the picture of the sweet, blushing bride. She was seriously AMAZING. If you want to guarantee that your food will taste and look great, and have a day of coordinator who will take you through all the steps and make your life easy choose Iva's. First of all, Miya is one of the most organized people I have come across and extremely detail oriented. We had our wedding at the Villa at San Juan Capistrano last week and we were fortunate to have Iva Lee's cater the whole event - they were amazing!!! Not only was the food delicious, fresh and customized per our requests, but the staff were fantastic - friendly, enthusiastic, caring and professional. They paid attention to detail and were fun and extremely helpful . Iva Lee's also provide everything you could imagine in the way of furniture and decoration. They have an array of wine and water glasses, gorgeous tables, high-tops, chairs, love seats, votives, napkins etc. that you can choose from. So however you imagine your event - casual and rustic or elegant and sophisticated, they have what you need. We were treated like royalty when we met with Miya for our tasting - she was attentive, helpful, patient and kind. She gave us space to discuss everything and suggestions when we needed help, from everything from selecting the color of the napkins to adding more meat to one of our appetizers. She is wonderful! Iva Lee's also breaks down and itemizes everything - they are honest and transparent and extremely cooperative. They ask for your final guest count only 2 weeks before your event, to give you as much time as possible to get a final count for RSVPs and ensure they're not over or under ordering food. Iva Lee's did the catering for our wedding at the Villa San Juan Capistrano on 10/315. The Villa has an exclusive contract with Iva Lee's for the food and beverage service. At first we were a little hesitant about being locked into a caterer because we were scared the food might not be good and then we wouldn't be able to change. The owner of Iva Lee's also owns a restaurant so we had our family try the restaurant before we booked, and they said the food was just "ok." We went ahead and booked anyway because we loved the venue so much. When we went for our tasting with Iva Lee's the food was actually really good - the catering menu is different than the restaurant menu. After the wedding everyone told us the food was amazing! Our photographer even told us it was the best wedding food she had ever had! I do have to say that they have changed their catering menu, so they no longer offer what we ordered, but I would definitely cater from them again. They are also pretty flexible and we were able to mix and match sides from different entrees to make a dish to our liking. We also wanted to change the appetizer selection and they were able to do it at a very reasonable price. The mini chicken and waffles appetizer was great! The bartenders and servers were all super polite and attentive and they always had smiles on their faces! I also have to say that the office staff is super friendly and helpful! We live in northern California so it was hard for us to come do tastings, especially since they only offer them once weekly but they were able to squeeze us in the day before Thanksgiving since that was about the only time we would be down south during a weekday. read more
