The price is right, he's efficient, clean and there's plenty of room for social distancing while you wait for your food. The trouble is when I went today it was a different guy. I said give me extra beans because I didn't want meat and leave off tomatoes because I'm allergic. Well in addition I didn't find any grated cheese, it's like a cheese powder on it, and he said he puts guacamole on top but he didn't. The good news I'm full and it was cheap and fast. I don't plan to return though. It's a cute cart but not that cute! It's not good when you get to the location where you plan to eat and find your food isn't up to par. Maybe you will have better luck.

While some may qualify what they have as "gourmet" items, much of the snacks, confection, ready-to-go drinks, and freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, quesadillas, etc., they offer are also standard in many city bodegas. That being said, they have a nice fresh baked desert case and coffee selection plus café counter seating including a small section that looks out to Morningside Park and additional café counter seating in the rear. Ordered Mom's Metropolitan Sandwich as a hero. While it was a good sandwich, it and the other heros offered at Mom's costs $3-4 more than similarly nearby bodegas which use as well Boar's Head... including at least one bodega which throws in a can of soda at that much cheaper price. So, I'm definitely not inclined to be a repeat for any sandwich given what their neighborhood competitors offer. That being said, Mom's Food Market does have a place to drink your latte or eat and doesn't appear to host a bodega cat... so, if you wanted a place to stop before/after a walk in one of the parks, you might consider it an option.
