My nail length was getting too out of control for my taste, so I decided to go get my nails done today. Note: the owner replies fast when you schedule appointments through Yelp. I scheduled an appointment through Yelp this morning. The owner replied in about an hour. I made my appointment for 1 pm and when I got to the salon they honored it. Great things: not crazy busy, they have WIDE selection of gel colors, plenty of space and substantial parking space. The tech that did my nails was fast which was nice. I didn't have an appointment so I had to wait some time to get service but I kind of expected that. They were pretty busy for a Friday morning so I was hopeful they would be good. I was very happy with the result of my gel manicure. The tech spent her time doing things right and making sure she didn't file my nails too thin when removing the dip color I had previously gotten somewhere else (but didn't take too long either). She also tried her best to match the design ideas I had for an accent nail and I was very happy with the result. I would recommend this place and I'm coming back for sure. read more

I am a fairly new customer to Ivy Nails. I've been coming here for less than a year and have been back once a month or every other month since. Because of my work hours, sometimes I go to another nail salon close to work if I'm pressed for time. Anyway, I really like Anna and Ivy. Always top notch work from them and always have met my expectations if not more. Now as for the other nail technicians, they are all very nice, always smiling, and carry a nice conversation; however, I would say what docked a star off this review was due to a recent experience. I didn't get her name, but she started on a gel manicure on me. Everything started off fine and she was very friendly and nice. But what turned me off was that as soon as another customer came in who had to wait, she started rushing when she was still working on me. She was obviously rushing because 1) she cut me TWICE when she was trimming my cuticles 2) she started standing up when doing my nails. That's fine and all if it makes you more comfortable, but because it was so obvious she was in a rush, it made me uncomfortable 3) she put lotion on my forearm and that's it. My hands are as dry as the Sahara desert And it just got progressively worse when the other customer who had to wait got up to leave. My nail technician assured her only 10 more minutes, so whatever. It was just annoying and had me in an irritable mood especially because I have to look at these cuts on my fingers now. I'm reasonable and I know that it happens from time to time, but because she didn't apologize and was clearly in a rush, it was something I couldn't let go. This experience won't stop me from going back (for now at least), but I hope that they read this so they know that this kind of practice doesn't go unnoticed. I understand that it's a business, but something like this can make you lose multiple customers instead of just ONE customer that had to wait. read more

I've been here many times and always had good experiences, except for the last two times. 1st bad experience: The tech pushed back my cuticles completely dry. She did not soak them first, nor did she apply cuticle softener. I tried to explain to her that I was displeased with the way she was doing it, and I asked her to do it correctly. I ended up asking another tech to do my nails instead. She did a KILLER job on them. 2nd bad experience: My daughter and I came in for manis and pedis. I had to ask my tech to push back and nip my cuticles on my toes. She did my big toe and decided she was done. She did a much better job on my fingers. The tech who did my daughter's nails did an atrocious job on them. Her cuticles looked as if they'd not been nipped at all. Her nails were all different lengths. The nail polish was cheap and blotchy, and it was all over her cuticles. I had to ask the tech to do her entire manicure over again. We will not be returning to this salon. read more

Had a not so good experience today, normally I like their work. But today the owner/supervisor allowed someone who walked in from off the street to my acrylic fill and nail trim.
