I do not recommend coming to this place especially after my last experience there. I came to my appointment early and even then they still made me wait 30-45 mins to be seen. I asked for a french tip with the hard builder gel and it was crocked and chunky. I expressed it not ONCE but TWICE that I did not like my nails and was ignored. Once they finally did listen to me and fixed them. They were still trying to charge me the french tip fee. The guy at the register was completely rude and obviously does not have good customer service skills what so ever. He told me that I wasted the nail techs time and he even got to the point where he was raising his voice and me. Overall he was being very very rude about the whole situation. Came back to square nails for a pedicure. Been here a few times. Usually offer good service. I paid for deluxe and got no such service. Callus remover was put on and removed with a dull pumice brush. Slathered a scrub on after and washed off didn't even scrub. No massage involved. Water temp was cold I asked to warm it up and she ignored the request. I expressed to the gentleman and he did say sorry she is new we have to train her. I appreciated the apology and still tipped the women. Hope they can improve their service. read more

This is my go-to nail spot! & I've been getting my nails done since I was 13 & I'm 32 now & when I moved to La Habra about 10 years ago, I checked out a lot of other spots but I kept coming back to this one!! Also I am VERY picky with my nails. And anyone at this location who does my gel pedicures does an amazing job!! And their prices are very good & they have amazing Quality products!! I've gotten white gel pedicures at other places and they fade to a gross looking white very quickly. But at Square Nails my pedicures NEVER fade and I'll literally have had them on for a month+ and the color looks the same as the day I got it done! Also I started getting my nails done by Vicki but I'm sure the other nail techs are amazing too! But once again I'm Super picky & I just show the picture of what I want and she does it exactly as I wanted, if not better!! She is also great at free styling! & I love the atmosphere there, it's very clean! & they always have relaxing music playing in the background & the pedicure massage chairs are great! I made a reservation for an appointment for short nails with dip powder with a rainbow design. I made a reservation 2 days in advance and I was very clear with regards to the fact that I did not have a lot of time and needed an appointment and to be on time. I told the gentleman exactly how much time I had. And supplied a reservation fee. When I arrived EARLY for my appointment, they told me they weren't ready. I went and got a lunch. When I came back ON TIME, they still weren't ready, then took other people ahead of me even though I had an appointment and had supplied my reservation fee. I told them I was extremely upset and was not happy with my service and that I couldn't even stay. The nail technician tried to explain to me that what I wanted was too complicated with the amount of time that I had. I asked her to simplify it. To the nail technician - I'm sure you're wonderful. But your manager let you down. I hope he gave you my reservation fee. They didn't even apologize, ever. read more

The ladies here are extremely rude, take a long time doing it and do a horrible job. I wouldn't come back here unless I was in the area and was completely broke. The only thing positive I have to say about this place is that the man doing my pedicure massaged my feet well. Anyway, there place is small, if someone else is waiting they will neglect the person in the chair and get the other set up. I usually get my eyebrows done in the same plaza and saw a spa mani and pedi banner outside for 19.99 so I stopped in. Originally I was only planning on just getting a pedi but since it was such a good deal I decided to get both...and it wasn't the best choice. The pedicure was so good and the lady did such a nice job. It was perfect but however the lady who did my nails did a horrible job. The sides aren't painted, it is so messy and she did not even file my nail straight for one of my nail and it's crooked. I could've done a much better job at home by myself. It's like she can't see or something and she only painted the top and not the sides. Was not worth the money and not happy with my nails. She also had me pay before getting my nails painted which I understand I might mess it up after but how am I supposed to tip and judge u by your work if I pay before you even do them? I tipped pretty generously since she had me pay before she did them and boy do I regret it.... I'll probably go back but just get pedicures from there from now on and not nails. read more

Extremely disappointed in how long my nail polish lasted. I got gel French tip and in 3 days two of my nails were chipped. The french tip that I got at my last salon lasted 2 weeks before it started to chip. If you are looking for a manicure that holds its quality, don't stop by Square Nails. Also, the lady who did my nails massaged hands with some sort of oil, and no lotion. Definitely felt weird to the touch. I will be calling them tomorrow to ask for a free touch up, I'll update on their response. UPDATE: I called for a touch up and it was given to me complimentary. The lady who did my nails also explained to me that massaging gel manicures with oil moisturizes the cuticles better. The lady I got today was amazing! And definitely great at french tip.
