I'm not quite sure what the comment "All lives matter" is about or what they're trying to insinuate about this shop but it is far from that. I promise you that! I've gone here twice now and both times I recieved the upmost professionalism in service. I felt more like a guest rather than a client. I had help and assistance from multiple people in the shop during both visits. The first time, I called last minute around 4:30PM and they squeezed me in for a 5:30PM appointment. I knew that it was cutting it close to closing time but Justin took his time with both my mani/pedi. My second visit mirrored the first. Excellent service. As I was driving down Decatur getting out of iKea, I saw a sign that says RED NAILS and it was when my nails was due, I was like why not let's give it a shot and as I approached the salon I saw a sign that says 15% OFF ALL SERVICES this was definitely a steal for me. I found this place on Yelp because I wanted a place where I can bring my daughter to do her nails on her birthday. This place is kid friendly and has a kid menu, so I tried it out. Since then, I've been coming back because they do quality work. My gel nails last 3 weeks, and doesn't lift. I'm quite picky, and it's always hard to find good nail techs. Cindy, my nail tech, is the owner, so she's not going anywhere. Lol. She knows what she's doing and takes her time. She gets my nails as satisfyingly short as I want them, and files them evenly. I'm glad I tried them out. They are super friendly and care about customer satisfaction. I make an appointment, so there's not much wait time. I've also had my pedicure done by Phoebe, she's great too. The salon is clean, and they wipe down the chairs after each customer use. The only thing I like was the girl Tina was understanding and tried her best to do the flower. Steven was rude and kept quoting me a different price for my nails. First he told me he could do my nails like the picture I wanted and it would cost $65, he then told me after he couldn't do the flower and still insisted the clear nail with glitter is still $65 because it's coffin shaped. My nails aren't long coffin and I have no gel color polish on, I have very little glitter on the tip of my nail not even the whole nail. Tina was a nice who said she could do the flower, even though she didn't have the right brush but she was nice and wasn't rude. Anyways my mani ended up $68, and my pedi was $72. Nothing like how I asked for my mani and my pedi I want clear polish with glitter. read more

I came to Red Nails for a fill. I had 3 broken nails which they charged me $5 to fix each nail which I had no problem with paying. I asked for SKINNY coffin shaped nails and this is what I got. Nails had no shape or sharpness to them, thick and rounded. Completely opposite from what I asked for. I wasn't happy with my results, on top of paying $75 for a fill... I asked if there was anyway they can at least re-shape my nails and they told me "no there is nothing we can do". I highly suggest not to come here unless you want to be overcharged and not accommodated for what you request your nails to look like. read more

Prompt service and a beautiful salon but...lady who did my nails was not nice and man was incompetent. She made several comments about how dry my feet were. They were not that bad and even if they were you should just do themUsed drill on my toes so they have drill marks on the top. Then she kept adjusting my foot and had me to hold it up in the air without support. I can do this but not everyone can, especially people with a bad back. The man who did basic manicure did a horrible job...nails were very uneven. Pedicure was pretty. I'll never return and definitely don't recommend. read more

I walk in there with my mask on and say hi id like to get my nails taking off please and rudely I was told it was appointment only and they had no time for me and he walked away. What is super unfortunate about this review is I actually really loved the salon and the owners are lovely, so don't let this completely discourage you from going, but I for one will not be going back. I am writing to warn others about who you get to do your pedicures at the salon. During my last visit, my tech (who's name I cannot remember) started chopping really deep into my nails as though they were ingrown. I am prone to ingrown nails so this wasn't new to me; however, this lady decided to cut WAY too deep and cut EVERY SINGLE NAIL like that. A few of them started bleeding pretty bad. It has been a few days now and the big toe on my left foot is extremely infected even after keeping it clean after the appointment. I am now on some very strong antibiotics. Ingrown toenails are serious stuff, so if you are going to a nail tech instead of a doctor, be very aware of who is doing the cutting. read more

I received a regular pedicure and was disappointed to say the least. For $32 the pedicure lasted no longer than 10 minutes. The polish chipped within days and the experience was nothing special. Well guess what she did gel. Very pushy and not friendly. I paid way to much for what I got done and it was a sloppy job. She half asses removed my callouses the polish on my big toes bubbled. Worst experience i've ever had at a nail salon. Firstly, I've never heard of a nail salon that doesn't provide cuticle clean up and basic manicure procedure with a full set. Apparently it's not included in a full acrylic set but that was not made clear to me verbally, until she finished the manicure and i realized my cuticles looked like crap. This detail was not specified on their menu either. Second, I personally am not one to be nit picky and to keep asking for the shape of my nails to be fixed but I had to a couple of times and she still did not do what i wanted. By the end of it, i hated what my nails looked like and decided to call in an ask the next day if i could get them redone because i was unhappy with the results. Over the phone, they said that if i was unhappy, they would redo my nails no problem (i assumed they would do this free of charge because of their miscommunication and my unsatisfactory experience). I then go over and explain why i'm unsatisfied and they go out of their way to question me and make me feel bad over the horrible job they did on my nails rather than just doing what i politely asked for. After everything was said and done, they surprisingly charge me $45, which was not communicated with me at all. Do not come here. Terrible experience. read more
