They responded by saying, "You signed the bill," and wouldn't provide any detail. I feel I was grossly overcharged. They did great work, but I'll never use them again. Not sure what's happened with Izzy Plumbing, they were a top notch company back in the day. Now they won't even answer their phones. Need to provide a review about the low quality and excessive charges from Izzy Plumbing. We called them to have our shower and bathtub cartridges replaced. We were quoted $625 at first for the repairs, then the price was increased to $850. I was told I would receive a detailed estimate, but it's just a basic flat rate charge. Plumber broke the spout on the bathtub and said it was "brittle", they refused to repair the damage. Plumber only replaced one cartridge in the bathtub, and used the wrong part. I informed him it was the wrong part because it's spins backwards now, but he told me it was the only cartridge available at Ferguson's Supply. I went to Ferguson's Supply the same day to purchase a replacement spout for the one broken by the plumber. While there I asked about bathtub cartridges and they had the correct two cartridges in stock. After paying $850 to have my shower and bath repaired. On the plus side they stopped the leaks. However, I'm going to need to hire a different plumber now to have the broken spout replaced and have the correct bathtub cartridges installed. read more

The ceiling was dripping! With a call at 9am, Jacob from Izzy Plumbing was scheduled to arrive at 12noon the same day. Help was on the way. Jacob arrived when scheduled, quickly saw the issue and had the pipes repaired and the leak fixed lickety-split. Jacob from Izzy's has done other work for us and always solves our plumbing problems. I wish I had read the other bad reviews before using Izzy again. We had a tankless hot water heater that wouldn't stay hot.....the tech they sent said they charge 550.00 to flush it. I balked at that and he immediately reduced it to 450.00. Then he charged 600 to fix the problem in the heater. It was not fixed. Came back, charged another 1200.00 after speaking with Rinnai and told us he guaranteed it would fix the problem. It did not. We asked for a new technician...he came and said he needed to replace all the cartridges in the house and did that....still did not fix the problem. Very long story short....they would not refund any of the money we already spent (around 1800.00) and quoted another 1600.00 to replace yet another part or 4700.00 to replace water heater. We decided it was time for another plumber....found another plumber who replaced the water heater for 3050.00. Needless to say Izzy is a disreputable company who overcharges, never reaches out to you and basically can't perform what is needed. No one ever reached out to us from management.....they refused to refund any of the money we wasted, and couldn't explain why they price gauge their customers. I have since received a quote of 150.00 to flush the water heater that they charged us 450.00 for. The overall time we wasted was 3 months. Stay clear of them at all costs!! read more

Izzy has been our go to plumber for many years, but I am discouraged by how high their pricing is now. They were already at my house to fix a leak in the new disposal I had just purchased from them, so they weren't making a new service call, and yet I was charged an additional $300 for them to power snake my kitchen drain clean out. Their tech worked maybe 10 minutes on this clean out, said it was fixed and left. The sink was still stopped up! My husband ended up using our little manual snake, a ton of elbow grease & hot water and fixed the problem himself. Very disappointed. read more

I have used Izzy Plumbing for clearing drains over the last year. For the most part, their service was good, but overpriced in my opinion. Nonetheless, I continued to use the company.... NOT ANYMORE! I called for a shower stoppage, made an appointment with Izzy for 3:30 to 5:30, as my tenant works. Showed up early (which in most cases is good) but tenant was not home. He was allowed into the unit by a neighbor with tenants permission, and proceed to unclog the bath tub, which did not have an issue. It was the shower stall that was clogged. At no time did the plumber contact me. He left and shower was still clogged. I got an invoice from Izzy for $225. I called Izzy and told him that shower is still clogged and tub was fine to begin with. Izzy told me that I need a new p-trap for the shower. My question was, why didn't the plumber call, and why are you charging for snaking the tub when the tub was fine. I told him i would pay for a trip charge, but he would be losing a customer if he was looking the full amout. His response, we went out, we can't work for free, and you got your tub draining... Very arrogant, very dismissive towards me. I told him that he just lost a customer, and paid his ridiculous charge, because it was pointless to argue. Many houses on my street have old clay laterals to the sewer which clog up with root build up over time. I've lived in my house for 8 years and the pipe normally needs to be snaked and cleared 1 (maybe 2) times per year. Depending on who is available at the time, I've worked with a few different plumbers over the years to do this. Each time, the plumber would carefully snake the pipe and spend time to ensure that they couldn't feel the resistance from the roots. For most plumbers that was around 35-45 minutes. The pipe would empty properly and I wouldn't have this problem again for the better part of a year. Not with Izzy's. My most recent plumber was busy when I needed someone so I gave them a try. That was a mistake. The plumber was friendly, but he was at my house for only around 15 minutes. He used a battery-powered, backpack-sized snake. which was different from any past plumber who would bring larger units that needed an electrical outlet (more recently I've now spoken with other plumbers who have said they would NOT use that backpack-sized unit for clearing out a main lateral). I was surprised at how quickly he was done since most other plumbers on past occasions had worked on the issue for longer. I paid the minimum fee (over $220) and thought my problem was over. Unfortunately, that clearance of the pipe was the absolutely minimal work needed to get it to drain and I was back to having a clogged pipe in less than 1 month. I've never had that problem (nor as far as I can tell most of my neighbors) in 8 years. That was very frustrating and a disappointment. I left a message for the company on a Saturday, told I'd get a call back and that never happened. So, on the next Monday I called and left another message. This time I was called by the owner, who then explained how the problem is really the pipe and that I should replace the lateral and was completely unwilling to consider the possibility that his plumber did a sloppy, non-thorough job. Instead, he classified the work as "efficient" since his plumber was done in only 15 min. Unwilling to take any responsibility for the quality of the work, he instead just wanted to pitch selling more services, so I could have a long term solution to the problem (at the cost of thousands of dollars). That may be the case, but I'll be sure to use someone else. Someone who is thorough and takes responsibility for the quality of their work instead of blaming the customer. read more

The only reason I'm giving even 1 star is that our plumbing issue was fixed. However the service was horrendous. The plumber and company was rude immature and unprofessional. While fixing the pipe all the stuff fell out. Instead of asking me to remove my pehe left them under the sink and let all the junk fall all over it. When I peeked in I saw that everything was covered. Instead of telling me that he let this happen he hid it. I confronted him about the issue. He got fired up and immaturely said you won't let me talk so I'm not talking. I told him I would be calling his boss and he said go ahead the number is on the truck. When I called his boss he said " well, yeah but your stuff was in containers right?" I cannot express how disgusting it is that they expect people to use products that they wipe sewage from. Update: After the incident the owner Izzy reached out to discuss what had happened. I appreciated that an apology was made from him as well as an effort to fix the wrong doing. This act spoke volumes for the company and it's commitment to customer satisfaction.
