Steak burrito
Ade B.

After a dentist appointment, I was looking for a good quick lunch and ended up at this nearby Qdoba. There was only one person in line ahead of me when I walked in. I was able to order a steak burrito, which is made to order, and have it made and paid for in a couple of minutes. The quick requirement was checked off, but would it be good? I'm happy to say it was! The steak was grilled and flavorful. It was a large, thick, tasty burrito. It was a bit skimpy on the sour cream, and I had to get brown rice instead of white rice, so there was some room for improvement. But I will definitely be back at some point for another burrito.

Impossible Bowl
Sara D.

Starving & walking around looking for a place to eat after arriving in Center City, Philadelphia, I came into this eatery. I ordered the Steak Fajita and quickly changed my mind. I remember is Friday, and religious obligations forbids me to eat meat on Fridays. The young man behind the counter suggests the Impossible Bowl. Plant based " meat". Absolutely amazing!I would have never thought it tasted so good. My bowl is piled with Rice, Black Beans, the " Meat" Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, Melted Cheese, Shredded Cheese,Tortilla Chips, some Sauce, Sour Cream. Cold Green Tea to drink. I'll come back for another Impossible Bowl. Service is very friendly. Young crowd.

Chicken quesadilla

I ordered pick-up. I got chips and queso and a chicken and cheese quesadilla with lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guac. The queso (which came only half full) was so thick and flavorless. More of a bland cheddar broccoli soup than queso. My quesadilla was missing the lettuce and pico I ordered. There was only chicken on half of it, but it was so stale and crunchy. Do not recommend.

I found this place nearby and I thought I'd give it a try. I actually placed an order online, and it seems like they have many locations so make sure you order at the right one. I got a combo, cause what kind of monster only gets a chicken sandwich without some waffle fries. I did have to wait a little bit longer than the expected time, but wasn't a big deal. When I got home, I opened it up and was shocked by how big that chicken breast was. The sandwich was solid and filling, sauce is the perfect compliment, and the fries had great flavor too. Definitely would recommend trying this place out next time you are craving some chicken sandwiches!

I had a hankering for chicken and waffles today and I could've gone to a number of restaurants in…read morethe area for this, but today I decided to try my one go-to place for the best chicken sandwiches in town: Hangry Joe's. I've seen the chicken and waffles on their menu many times and was always hesitant on ordering it only because I didn't want to feel disappointment and possible regret for not ordering one of their well-known, delicious options of chicken sandwich (the Sando) or chicken fingers. I don't know why I was so afraid to order it other than thinking the waffle wouldn't be that good, but I was so very wrong. Their chicken and waffles are great! Let's start with the chicken... fried to perfection and slightly lathered in your choice of mild to spicy sauce, these chicken tenders are simply amazing... and huge. Bite into a chicken tender and juices shoot out of it. That's how juicy they are. The waffle (divided into quarters) was so good. Lightly crisped and dusted with powdered sugar on the outside and a beautiful soft texture inside, this is a great waffle. You get syrup for the waffle and your choice of sauce for the chicken. All for $12.95. So good! Other options include a Korean chicken nugget combo that includes steamed white rice and fries, chicken wraps, and wings. Service is pretty quick. I ordered to go ("ASAP - 10 mins") and the order was ready in 14, but please don't fault them for this. Once you taste the chicken, you will forgive them for any tardiness.

I didn't even realize it right away, but somehow the team tracked me down at my hotel (!!). I was able to come back a couple hours later and everything was exactly as I left it. A huge thank you to Zktlko (I hope I'm spelling that right) who went out of his way to make sure I got it back. That level of care is rare and meant so much in a stressful moment. And on top of that--the food is incredible. We had the hoagies, and they were hands down the best cheesesteaks we tried in the city. Amazing people, amazing food. Grateful we stopped here.

We also got a few of their packaged drinks. The guy taking our order was very nice and there was plenty of seating and it seemed like there was additional seating upstairs, but we didn't have to head up there. The bathroom was nice and clean. As for the food, the Philly cheesesteak was massive, but tasted just okay. It seemed quite heavy on the bread. I think my husband maybe ordered wrong as he should've gotten the cheese whiz or maybe gotten the one with peppers. We've definitely had better cheesesteaks. The waffle fries were fries: tasty and delicious. My MIL's caprese salad was interesting. It was atop a bed of greens which was unexpected. It was also $15 which seemed a little extravagant for what it was. Overall, it was a decent meal and tasty. I'd hit it up for lunch of you're in a pinch and you'd definitely have leftovers for later as well.

The burger was perfectly smashed with those crispy edges, the cheese was melty, the caramelized onions were packed with flavor, and that soft, buttery milk bun tied everything together perfectly. Every bite was messy in the best way possible. The fries were just as impressive, they were hot, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. We found ourselves reaching back into the basket over and over. What really stood out was the customer service. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy we were there. It's refreshing to find a place where the food is outstanding and the service matches it. Then came the surprise of the day... the cinnamon roll. We bought one to take with us and didn't eat it until about an hour later. Somehow, it was still one of the freshest, gooey-est cinnamon rolls we've ever had. Every single bite tasted like the soft, warm center of a cinnamon roll. Honestly... it was even better than Cinnabon. That's not something I say lightly! If you're in Philadelphia, HUDA is absolutely worth the stop. Great food, fantastic people, and a cinnamon roll I'll be thinking about long after this trip. My son and I are already talking about coming back the next time we're in town.

They have a great Taco Tuesday deal with $1 tacos, offering carnitas and chicken tacos as part of the special. The carnitas tacos were seasoned perfectly -- 8/10. The only thing that would elevate them even more would be adding pico. The chicken tacos were a 4/10 unfortunately. They lacked flavor and tasted like plain boiled chicken placed on a tortilla, which was disappointing. We also ordered the Tres Salsa and chips. Out of the three salsas, the green and red were the standouts and packed the most flavor. For drinks, we ordered margaritas on the rocks ($5, plus $2 additional for flavor). I tried mango and passion fruit -- the mango tasted more like orange juice, while the passion fruit maintained its flavor much better. If you're looking for a family-friendly indoor/outdoor spot, this is a great option. I noticed a good mix of couples and singles, which made for a nice atmosphere. Bar seating is limited at night, and outdoor seating closes around 7:00 PM. Overall, for Taco Tuesday, I'd give it a 7/10 -- great atmosphere and deals, but food consistency could use some work.
