They have a small kiosk at the Staple Center where the SJ Sharks play! I've seen the sandwiches and have been waiting for the right moment to grab one. That moment was today! I like to call it my lucky sandwich since the team did so well. We definitely got some double takes because of how good the philly cheesesteak looked. Hopefully we convinced some people to grab one because I definitely thought it was a great sandwich. The meat was surprisingly tender and fairly seasoned. Cheese was not over powering or salty. The contrast of onions and pickled veggies was a great touch to sandwich. Marvin didn't introduce himself but seemed quite sweet! 100% recommend!

First time trying at my local #barebottle - nice guy, one man show, taking orders & cooking. Appreciate that I can order a chicken version as I'm not that big on red meat - we had 2 classic & a bay banger - delish- good fries too nicely salted which I appreciate

This is my first (maybe second) time eating from a food truck. So I don't know what standard to go off of. I ordered the Triple Threat Cheesesteak. My usual complaint about cheesesteaks are the dryness or lack of cheesy gooeyness. Unfortunately, this one fell into that category. I thought getting the cheesesteak with three different cheeses would satisfy my search for perfect cheesesteak. However, I was tricked. The meat was tender enough and I can't complain about it being dry. I was leaning toward a four star rating, but the lack of cheese swayed me to go lower. The cheese whiz was also the focus of the cheesesteak. Cheesiness? Check. Gooeyness? Not possible. If you like cheese whiz, then I say definitely go for this one. The two people inside the truck were very helpful and kind. I feel bad for leaving a three star review, but I'm going to stick to the focus of my search for a cheesy, gooey cheesesteak

Back when the transit center was still open, we enjoyed sharing an Izzy Cheese steak with fries. The line was really long, but as a result our food was served nice and hot. The fries were really hot and crispy. Delicious. There was a few funky pieces of fat or weird stuff I couldn't eat, but it didn't detract much from the experience.

Marvin is flat-out amazing! I found his cheesesteak food truck at BottleRock this past weekend and had THE most delicious cheesesteak but it was Marvin's exemplary service that was above and beyond! I had ordered their huge blueberry lemonade to take back to the Skydeck, as drinks were "free", but they had very basic mixers. I had picked up the blueberry lemonade on the counter and was enjoying it (with vodka) and the cheesesteak back at the Skydeck when I hear, "Terry, I found you!". Evidently the lemonade I had taken was for display purposes and Marvin made me a fresh one and found me! Totally impressed! What a great owner, and I had another cheesesteak yesterday as they are "that good". Thanks, Marvin!!!!!!

Thanks Marvin for reaching out to me. So out of all of us who tried the truck originally only Christina was able to make it back. So, like promised he recommended the garlic cheesesteak and garlic fries and that's what she got. Christina said Marvin was kind and friendly and made every attempt to make things right, and in my book that deserves 4 stars. More food trucks should take customer service seriously, so thanks Marvin. He said the cheesesteak was so much better than last time and she said she shared the garlic fries with her co-workers who all loved it. Way to make a huge improvement!

While I was waiting in line at Izzy's at SoMa StrEat Food Park... Super Nice Owner: "Is this the first time at our truck?" Me: "Yep." Super Nice Owner: "Cool--have you had a Philly Cheesesteak before?" Me *pffffft look*: "Of course I have!" L-i-e-s. Unless the chain, The Great Steak counts? Ok, that's like saying Panda Express serves real Chinese food. I'm a little embarrassed that I've never tried a legit Philly Cheesesteak so I told a white lie. Kinda like how Kylie Jenner is telling people that she got that awesomely plump, dimple free ass from butt "pumping" cream. Uh huh, like how lip liner can create DSLs? (o_O) Back to the point, I'm a cheesesteak noob and have no clue about what qualifies a Philly Cheesesteak to be authentic or not. But, I do what tastes good... Izzy's serves up some delicious cheesesteaks ($8.50-$9.50). They offer 6 cheesesteaks (choice of Ribeye or Chicken, and White American, Provolone, or Cheese Whiz): *Classic w/ or w/o onions and hot & sweet peppers *Crazzy Classic: Classic wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried *Roasted Garlic & Mushrooms w/ American cheese, grilled onions *Muy Bueno w/ cheese, grilled onions, pico de gallo, cilantro cojita cheese *Trifecta: Classic w/ horseradish, au jus for dipping *Srirachacha w/ grilled onions, cheese, creamy sriracha They also have a hoagie and a vegetarian cheesesteak available that's made with quinoa and beans. You can add fries (+$3) or Garlic Fries (+$4) to your meal. CC's accepted. I ordered Izzy's Signature: Garlic & Mushrooms and subbed Cheese Whiz for American Cheese ($9.50) which was ready within minutes: http://bit.ly/1ORNDjE. It tasted as good as it looked. Between the lightly toasted and fluffy roll (shipped from Philly) was the uber tender ribeye that was perfectly seasoned and smothered in creamy, melty whiz. It was deliciously beefy, garlicky, earthy, and subtly sweet from the onions. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the fantastic melding of flavors. When I do order from food trucks, I usually share with another person. One minor gripe was the steak wasn't evenly distributed in the roll so my half of the cheesesteak was mainly mushrooms and onions. I ended up picking off more steak from Mr. NSS' half. I hope Izzy's considers offering an option to add double meat in the future. Can't wait to try Izzy's again the next time they're at SoMa StrEat Food Park!

Since I don't get to Off the Grid: Fort Mason much, I always try to visit as many food trucks or stalls as possible. After visiting two vendors, I wanted to try one more before leaving. Decided my last savory food item should be Izzy's Cheesesteaks. This was last Friday, March 4th around 8pm. I'm trying to see if I can go without red meat for a while, so I got their RGM: roasted garlic, mushrooms, grilled onions, and cheese ($11.50) with Chicken breast. It either came with White-cheddar or Provolone. I'm not really sure as they never asked me what cheese I wanted. I kind of wish they did as I would have asked for Cheez-Whiz. Otherwise, the sandwich was delicious! The bread was soft. The chicken was moist. It all came together to make a nice ooey gooey cheesy bite. Super comforting! Would love to come back and try their ribeye cheesesteaks! I miss my red meat!

    Classic w/ Garlic Fries
    Adam B.

Good cheesesteaks are a bit hard to come by in San Francisco, so this was a nice treat. I still prefer Theo's in Rincon Center, but Izzy's solidly fits the bill if the truck happens to roll by where you're at. And Izzy's does have better fries! Classic: Oddly enough, I really like the grilled onions. They stuck out to me the most because they were sliced very thinly and had a nice caramelized taste. The ribeye was good, slightly thicker than standard cheesesteaks, and pretty darn tasty. The sweet peppers were a bit too big for my tastes. Per usual, the Cheez Whiz was essential. Felt like a little too much bread for the amount of meat. The bread was tasty, just would have preferred more meat. Heck, I would have paid a few bucks more for a double size. Garlic Fries: Loved the thinness and crispiness of these fries. Just the right thickness of shoe string so there is still some soft potato inside so it doesn't entirely taste like a potato stick. Just the right amount of garlic, but could have used more cheese shreds.

Friendly & fast service. The roll was soft, the meat was flavorful, the cheese was abundant. I'm a happy customer & would definitely try them again.

First time at Izzy's! I enjoy when food trucks swing by our campus cause the food trucks are such a great food option (especially if you're not walking distance to any other eatery besides the campus cafe). STEPS 1) Choose the cheesesteak (I went with the Trifecta $9.50 - grilled onions, horseradish sauce, and au jus sauce) 2) Choose your meat (Ribeye or Chicken) 3) Choose your cheese (White American, Provolone, or Cheese Whiz) All the other options looked great! Sriracha Mayo, RGM (Roasted garlic & mushrooms), or the Classic (grilled onions & sweet and hot peppers). Or go all out with a Triple Threat (comes with all the cheeses!) or a Bourbon Brunch (dat bourbon sauce doe). They were out of fries by the time we swung by - but they sounded great on the menu (garlic fries $4.50 or garlic-cheese fries $6.50). Izzy's definitely did not disappoint!

So during the annual Burlingame fall festival this truck was one of the options I was able to sample. Let me just say wow!!! Of the choices I tried the trifecta, I will have to sample the other options on the menu. Cost was $10.90 for the deliciousness served on a roll that was perfect and held all ribeye meat intact. The au jus was a good addition but was not required since the taste was all there. The ribeye meat was tender not dry, meshed well with the grilled onions and bell peppers, the topping of criss crossed sauce was delicious, if mayo were the topping I would not be upset haha but what ever it was made the sandwich better The roll held up to the heavy meat portion nothing fell out during the period of me biting down on that sandwich, imma need a fix for this sandwich on a weekly basis haha Philly cheese trifecta ***** Price $$ Service ***** Ambiance **** take it to go

Looks can be deceiving...steak cheesesteak with garlic fries. It looks yummy but unfortunately the meat was dry and flavorless.

Dominic's is my favorite food truck in the entire bay area…read more I've had food at almost all the food trucks between SF and the peninsula, and some from the south bay. It's a hidden gem for sure, and as you can tell from my photos, it's pretty much my #1 choice whenever I see them at a food truck gathering. It's a good and bad thing that they're not well known (good because there is no line or very fast wait, bad because they definitely deserve everyone's business). I've gone to them so much that they recognize me, since I tend to follow them wherever they go, even if it's at a random school fair, haha. Lately, I haven't been eating out but I do miss them. Low key they serve the best lobster rolls in the bay, with the best price. They know how to butter and grill the fluffy fresh bread so well, and they always have the perfect drawn butter ready. It's so great with their addictive skinny fries - even better if they're garlic fries. Their garlic is very freshly minced, and they bathe you in that garlic. They only do the lobster rolls once in a while, though. They always have a rotating special menu that I like to try, but they also have a solid standard menu. On their standard menu, I love their grilled fresh crab and shrimp sandwich, which is a nice substitute for lobster; it's also buttery, creamy, grilled perfectly, and filled with fresh sweet seafood. Just writing about their food makes me salivate. They've missed a couple of times with me - mostly on their Asian items, fried appetizers, and desserts. But if they're doing meat, seafood, sandwiches, or pasta (basically American or Italian), I'm all in there. Their lobster ravioli is way better than Costco or Trader Joe's, and probably on par with some upscale restaurants out here. You can even request slight modifications to your food and they'll get it done. They also have a regular catering business and offer pick up orders (usually with a 4 person minimum) for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. While I enjoy my no wait time at Dominic's, I'll spread the word because I just have a good day any time I get to enjoy their food.

Most of the crowd was centered near the front of the park where the band was playing, but I decided to wander all the way to the end. That's where I found Dominic's, a sleek all-black food truck that immediately stood out. Their menu listed steak nachos, but I asked if they could make steak asada fries instead -- and without hesitation, they said yes. That alone told me a lot about their hospitality and flexibility. And let me tell you, those fries were absolutely delicious: juicy, tender steak packed with flavor, layered perfectly over the fries. To top it off, the guys surprised me with complimentary mini cannolis, which made the whole experience even sweeter. While most people stayed near the busier area up front, I encourage anyone visiting these events to walk the entire park and check out all the trucks -- you never know where the hidden gems are waiting. Dominic's is one of them. Yes, prices lean a little higher, but the quality, flavors, and service make it more than worth it. Thank you, Dominic's, for a fantastic meal and a happy tummy! Highly recommend.

My husband and I were at Orange Park and wanted to give this truck a try and we were really glad that we did! The funny thing is, I told him I wasn't that hungry and would order a super burrito and eat half now and save the other half for later. So, I ordered a steak super burrito with everything in it, while my husband ordered birria tacos, which comes with the consomé. Both of our orders also came with tortilla chips and sauce, which I thought was pretty cool! The burrito came out to be $12.50, the birria tacos were $15 and you get 3. We also go a pineapple juice as well. The super burrito was so good that even though I said I wasn't that hungry, I ended up eating the whole thing!! I did share with my husband though! The guacamole and sour cream really elevated the burrito! There was a good amount of meat, rice, beans and flavor in the burrito! I couldn't stop eating it. In the past at other places, I have had super burritos that were really dry and had too many beans and rice. This burrito was well balanced! The birria tacos, omg SO SO GOOD! The meat is so tender, the flavor is great! You can tell that the owner put a lot of love into the cooking! The taco shell was crispy, the onions and cilantro were fresh! I love the cheese on the tacos! I'm salivating just thinking about them! Haha. These are a must try! My husband and I love the birria tacos!! I also want to mention that the owner Luis is super nice. He asked us what kind of sauce we wanted and how many. His business deserves more recognition! I really like the vibe that Luis gives off. He's such a friendly guy! If you're ever in the area, you have to try his food! It's so good! Everything comes out hot and he's pretty quick with the orders too.
