This coffee shop is pretty unique with it's Filipino influence. They have the regular coffee beverages, matcha teas, and signature drinks. We ordered their Ferrero Rocher Latte and Pandan cold brew. The Ferrero Rocher latte tasted malty and slightly like a cold frozen hot chocolate. I didn't really taste the hazelnut but it was still delicious. I enjoyed my Pandan cold brew; it's sweet with that Pandan syrup. Next time, I'd like to try their seasonal drink, Guava Matcha Latte with a cream top! They also carry baked goods from Neighbor bakery in SF. We loved the Ube twice baked croissant! This one does taste like the actual purple yam which is a plus. I want to come back for this again. A tiny little coffee shop in the middle of downtown San Bruno, it's actually one of the earliest third wave style coffee shops in this part of the peninsula, with seasonal drinks and local pastries as well. I never remember to ask what beans they use, but they do favour the more fruity beans. The espresso pull is alright, but if you're not into the more tart and fruity profile, you might not be into it (which is the case with the mister). There is plenty of street parking and a nearby garage, but it's definitely more geared towards locals to happen to be in the area. The staff were really nice and super patient with me while ordering. the guy helping me answered whatever questions i had and made a good suggestion to try the guava cream top, but unfortunately it can only be used for the matcha. i dont drink matcha, so i went for the iced tahitian vanilla latte with the banana cream top and oat milk and it was so delicious. i was so excited as im a big fan of tahitian vanilla and most places dont have it. the coffee wasnt overly strong and the banana was just enough that it wasnt overpowering the drink. my boyfriend got the biscoff topping as well, which he also enjoyed. definitely going to visit again when im in the area. i just wish it was a bigger location with more seating to study or chill without feeling like im an attraction in the window or breathing down the baristas neck lol. read more

We arrived around 10:00 am and the shop was pretty packed. We ordered four beverages from the menu. Beverages will range from $7-$9 each. Three specialty Iced Lattes and one specialty Iced Matcha. Their seasonal flavors were Ferrero Rocher, Guava, and Banana Cream Pie. They only had one size which was a 16oz beverage. The matcha wasn't flavorful even with the addition of the Guava cold foam. The iced lattes tasted like they had a lot of syrup but the specialty flavors didn't shine. The wait time was pretty quick took about 5 minutes for all drinks to come out. I went here expecting the exact same drink as the academic coffee one. I have had the academic coffee banana cream matcha multiple times, so I trust my taste buds. I've tried Ferrero Rocher inspired drinks at other places before and always felt like they were missing that flavor I was looking for. Dead Eye was dead on. They really capture that Ferrero Rocher flavor, and it's easily the best one I've had. Would definitely get it again. My fiancée enjoyed her Guava Matcha Latte too. The hospitality from the baristas was exceptional, and the drinks were just as impressive. We decided to order that along with the Iced Ube Latte and a Hot Matcha Latte, and all three drinks were excellent. Been here a few times and have a lovely experience each time! The staff are always so friendly and so knowledgeable about the coffee, tea and anything on the menu. The location is small and has no sitting space but it is so cozy with all the plants. I love the hot chocolate which is using good dark chocolate that is rarely found in other cafes and the matcha and coffee are amazing. And in case that was not sufficient, they decide to have delicious pastries. So not my fault that I cannot help but spend lot of money to get a croissant that goes perfectly well with my drinks! Stumbled upon this spot on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the coffee is here. The last few times I was there, there wasn't much of a wait and my friends and I were able to get our coffees really quick. My go to drink here is there ube latte! Make sure to add espresso if you actually want coffee in your drink because I wasn't aware that their lattes don't come with coffee initially.
