Small Sushi shop with wide varieties of sushi and Sashimi made to order. Been ordering from here for the past few months, each time the rolls and appetizers were fresh and tasty. Price is decent for the rolls and combo meals. Their specialty are the Sushi/Sashimi tray platters that offers the best bang for the buck. This place is small and dine-in is basically for very small group. Order for pick-up was easy and quick, staff was friendly on each of my visits.

I'm very basic with my sushi.. i really only like California roll, shrimp tempura and spicy tuna but i always have to go to a Japanese place and do the whole dinner to get those but now i don't have to after stumbling into this place. Very happy and my order was delicious. My sister asked me to get the party platter the next time she comes visit so will definitely do that.

The new spot opened near my job. It's a small little spot with limited seats. The menu is huge and I think the prices are really good. The combo menu is really worth it for a get together. I don't eat much raw fish so I can't really judge sushi. I'm really basic!! I ordered all cooked stuff just to try. I got the; Lobster salad avocado Peanut avocado American dream roll. Rice to filling ratio is amazing. It's packed with filling and tastes good. They were really fast too!! I'm going to try other rolls for lunch !!!

This Japanese sushi eatery spot just opened and celebrated their Grand Opening yesterday! I ordered their Grass Jelly dessert with red beans, sago, and mangos as well as their Eel Rice Bowl. The drink was complimentary, most likely because of the Grand Opening. I'm so glad I chose this spot for lunch because it was both affordable and delicious! Eel rice bowls for under $15 are generally nearly impossible to find in NYC now and with good quality fish and an ample amount. The grass jelly was also really good and honestly, I could split it for 2 meals. I ended up coming back for a second time because I wanted to try the sushi since they were so affordable and also to see if they were fresh. I'm glad to say that they were. It's pretty rare to find such cheap sushi in NYC. A la carte were mostly around $1.5, with the most expensive at $2 for the scallop and uni. Even their rolls and chirashi were cheap! $4 rolls and $12 bowls are such a steal. I'm glad they don't skip on quality and quantity either. I decided to try 7 sushi's- lobster salad, scallop, uni, mackerel, seared salmon and yellowtail. I usually don't have high expectations for uni unless I eat it at omakase, because usually the cheap uni is not fresh. However, here it was pretty tasty and not sour at all. It was sliced a bit thinner, but uni gets expensive so I thought the portion was fair for only $2. The Inari wasn't filled enough like a regular Inari and there were some unfamiliar crunchy toppings that I think didn't really need to be there. The other pieces were pretty tasty as well. The slices were generous and clean and the rice to fish ratio was appropriate. Only 2 small things I would change is to include a little plate or container to put soy sauce in as usually you dip your sushi in soy sauce instead of dressing it in soy sauce. Secondly, I was a bit confused on why there were lemon slices included as it's not usually paired with sushi. Even if it is for decoration, I think it's not necessary. The staff does not really speak English so please be patient and give them grace. The menu is in both English and Chinese so you can point to the item you want too! Something else to keep in mind is that they do not take credit cards (yet) since they just opened. One thing I think that could help them would be to add their restaurant name, address and contact information on the menu. Currently the menu is only the food and drink items but it's hard to know where it's from. This is just my first impression and I'm already quite satisfied. I can easily find myself coming back often when I crave sushi!

Was craving sushi and decided to try this spot out! I got the salmon avocado and jalapeño yellowtail rolls. The pieces of fish were large and so fresh! The prices were pretty good/comparable to most places too. Would highly recommend this spot if you're in the area! Definitely coming back to try the other rolls.

Very newly opened and can't believe the quality and value are simply amazing. It's a hole in the wall, family joint. Not very many dine in seats so come in early or take your chances or opt for take out instead. The quality of the fish was just superb and fresh for the price point.

Prices are really cheap for the portion! The sushi was surprisingly really fresh and the staff were friendly. Will be coming back.

The value prop for this place is crazy. $12.95 for a salmon platter that comes with 6 pieces of sashimi, 3 nigiri, and 6 pieces of sushi for decent quality is an absolute bargain.

Philadelphia roll, salmon avocado, tuna avocado, white tuna

This place is so good! Most of the normal rolls are all under $4 and the special rolls range from about $9-14 I think. The rolls are cheap and tastes fresh so I would say it's a great steal.

Ordered it in person as take out. Lady was very friendly, and food was made real fast! Salmon sashimi were really fresh, the only thing I'd say needs improvement is the kani salad (tastes kinda bland). But overall I do recommend the place, price is really cheap for this good quality

My husband had the kaishin don, I had the Ozakaya donburi set and our girls shared the shoyu tonkatsu ramen. The fish was so incredibly fresh here and the rice was seasoned perfectly. My donburi set also came with dashi broth that the waitress later brought over to pour on top of the leftover rice in my bowl to be enjoyed at the end of the meal. The broth and rice combination was really comforting and satisfying. This dish was something I wanted to try in Japan but did not get a chance to experience when there, so I was excited to try it at Ozakaya. I was really pleasantly surprised by the ramen here as well. Although the pork could have been better/more tender, the broth was rich and seasoned so well and not too salty like other places. Last but not least, the service here was excellent and efficient. I would definitely come back here the next time I visit Brooklyn as there were many dishes on the menu I wanted to try!

This place is super popular and I get why. It was packed but the service was insanely quick and efficient, which I appreciated. We shared the chirashi (9/10) and a spicy tuna roll (7/10) and it was honestly more than enough food for both of us. The sashimi is chef's choice so you're getting whatever's freshest that day. Overall, the quality was excellent. A couple of pieces were a little on the flavorless side, but nothing that ruined the experience. I'd still give it a solid 9/10 and would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.

I saw the strong Yelp reviews and decided to take the leap with a pickup order. We ordered two specialty rolls and a spicy tuna roll. The restaurant itself is smaller than I expected, so I'm glad we opted for takeout. The staff was super friendly, and we only waited a few minutes while they completed our order. The Mystic Dragon roll was the standout for me-absolutely delicious. It had a variety of textures that gave it a great mouthfeel. I think this was my favorite of the three. All the flavors complemented each other beautifully. The strawberry sauce was unexpected but surprisingly worked! I love unique flavor combinations, and this one did not disappoint. The Torched King roll was also excellent. Salmon is my go-to for sushi, and the light torching gave it a subtle smoky flavor that I loved. The yuzu chili sauce added a nice kick--really flavorful and well-balanced. The Spicy Tuna roll was a classic and, of course, delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.
