They have some rolls that not every sushi restaurant has: fried oyster, scallop, etc. This time I tried lobster salad roll, scallop roll, and the tuna avocado roll. They were all so delicious. The scallop was so fresh. The tuna was not like the usual tuna, it seemed like a higher quality tuna but it was also minced (not like a whole piece). I'm no tuna connoisseur so I don't know for sure, but it's not the usual dark red tuna you'll get at some restaurants. Would order again next time I'm craving sushi! My go-to for sushi platters. I've tried the A, B and D sushi platters. Great fish quality, very fresh. The sashimi cuts in platter A were thick and the sushi rolls were generously packed on all trays. The rolls weren't mostly rice and the rice was not falling apart like in other places. Our all time favorite is the party tray A. Order from their website. I found it to have the best price compared to other platforms and you can also sign up in their loyalty program to earn points and redeem for discount. The delivery took a bit longer than expected because their driver was through door dash, but that's ok. I would 100% still order for them again. Everyone in my family said these were the best sushi trays they've had. Also, for dessert, I recommend their mochi ice cream. The softest mochi skin I've had. Love this hidden gem of a spot for some quality and affordable sushi. Their fish is great quality considering the price and they also have more premium offerings like toro, Hokkaido scallops, Wagyu and more! The sushi deluxe special is a great deal considering all the good pieces you get. I also come here often for their 3 roll combo deal which is a steal! I haven't been her in a while but I noticed that this is a new name. I have deep history with the restaurant that was in this spot, tucked away right under the train. So this was the place that I got introduced to sushi about almost 20 years ago. It was also the very first restaurant where I had a solo meal for the first time. I was in the area with my family and wanted to bring them here as my nephew has now taken on my love for sushi. We walked in and I noticed that the decor is beautiful and bright. I'm not sure if it is affiliated with the previous sushi restaurant but it was kind of dark lol. Brightness is welcomed to me lol. I was so happy that the food was AMAZING. My family and I were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I had a California roll with a Spicy Yellowtail and it was sooooo delicious, fresh and just the right amount of spice. I've seen this specific location changed names/owners many times but when Look Deer opened about a year ago, I think this time it will be here to stay. Sushi is good quality and value is on par with a lot of other sushi restaurants I frequent. The place is pretty small and not much tables to actually dine in. Upon walking in, it was much smaller than I expected. It's fine because we made ourselves comfortable. We ordered edamame, seaweed salad, uni special, torch sushi (wagyu, toro, salmon, scallop). I finished that relatively quickly and it was good but not amazing, but it is also fresh so I would order again. The ramen looked good and was quite good for the price.
