After seeing this place on Instagram for a while, I finally made it. People were very friendly inside when I told them it was my first visit. Juan introduced himself and explained the products a bit. Another young lady gave me samples of the popcorn that was out. I ordered their cheese and caramel mix. The texture of kernels was a bit sticky or not as crunchy as I would have liked. This is far from the best Garrett caramel/cheese mix, but it wasnt bad. I appreciated the yelp check-in deal as well. I don't know if I'll be rushing to get back, but may stop to support when I'm in the area again. 5 stars for customer service 3.5 stars for popcorn read more

It sucks to write this review bc the product is good, but they don't honor what they say real talk. Back in August (6th 2018) me and a few other ppl won their contest of getting all this swag, popcorn, a gift card, and a limited edition Lakers tin on Instagram. When I messaged them thank you they asked for my mailing address and I thought okay cool I love their popcorn and I'm excited! I check back a week later back they never confirmed if they got my address. On August 22nd they email me an update saying there was an issue with the Tin company bc of a Steel Tarriff and once thats done they'll send them out. I thought ok cool no worries. Never heard back so I check in September 30th, I asked if there was an update for the prize winners, and they read the message and didn't respond. I messaged again October 5th saying if the tin is whats the issue that I don't need the tin at all. I love their popcorn so much that they could just send me the popcorn and I'd be good etc. All they wrote back was a Heart and "we got you".... I seen they're running a sale on their popcorn so I message them Oct 18th saying how I was gunna buy a few bags but remembered about the giveaway and wanted to check in on it. I also expressed how its disheartening how they haven't provided any feedback or follow-ups on it, and that its a bad reflection on a business and poor customer service. I also said how Ive met them once in person and they seemed really cool but how they're handling this situation is crazy. Finally some kind of humanly (?) response. "Just tell us what you want. And we will accommodate you. A lot has been going on over here. We are figuring it all out on the fly" I tell them what my favs were and that I understand when businesses get busy, but its been 3 months with little response. So on Oct 25th I get a message (after seeing their story of them getting orders together and a car full of peoples orders getting dropped off at the post office) stating "thanks for being patient. The tins are still not in but thanks for participating in the contest. Please ORDER on our site directly for your popcorn with a $25 off promo code XXX. The code EXPIRES 10/31/28" OHHHH? You have to order a min of 25 bucks and i still have to pay for shipping and for the popcorn! and it expires in 5 days. I know this review may sound kinda crazy and its just a prize, and the company is entitled to do whatever they wish with prizes, but the fact that they didn't honor what they said, accommodate the winners for the delay, and never even SAYING SORRY for pretty much leading ppl on is crappy. I love supporting small businesses, especially black businesses but they don't know how to run a business from what Im seeing with the lack of customer care, as well as past reviews. Legit all I asked is for them to honor what they said. A bag of Mad Cheddar popcorn would've been fine with me lmao. read more

OMG never eat popcorn again from anywhere else!! This tastes soooooo much better than the popcorn in Downtown Disney & Popcornopolis. I didn't even know that was possible! The flavors have way more flavor! The only place you can get for real spicy popcorn & not overly sugary that eating too much makes you want to puke after (Popcornopolis). Please make AMC Fullerton sell your popcorn! Otherwise I'm going to have to drive to LA, then sneak this in the theatre with me. I don't wanna hear about no other popcorn. Do not order online! I placed two orders with this company in November 2016. I never received the orders and never received any follow up from them until I contacted them in December. They stated they were backlogged and I would receive my orders "soon." My orders did not arrive and in late December I requested a cancellation and refund which I have yet to receive! The company (through PayPal) is now disputing the refund with my credit card company. I could never reach this company by phone and email communication was slow and full of excuses and promises which were never kept. I have email communications to prove everything I have stated above. This is just not right and I feel obligated to warn others. Update 2-8-17: After posting this review, I received the quickest response I have ever received from this company! To clarify, I ordered from this company in November (not December). I have NEVER received a refund according to my credit card company. J&B needs to send PROOF of the refund because my credit card company has NO RECORD of it! Update 3-1-17: I am still waiting for a refund from this company! I contacted their merchant, PayPal, on 2-25-17. PayPal confirmed that no refund has ever been issued to me from J&B Popcorn. J&B should have resolved this with their merchant months ago. At this point I would not recommend them. So update to this review. We finally got our popcorn. The owner arrived an hour or so afterwards to open location. He was very apologetic & threw in extra bags of popcorn for the inconvenience. I guess that helped a little. However the popcorn didn't taste fresh (according to my mom). I may give them a 2nd try. Students completely devastated. Used them for a school fundraiser. Promised delivery of popcorn and prizes within 10-12 business days. Day before delivery date, received an email stating a delay had occurred and would not receive delivery for another week. Now the deadline has passed again and Juan, the owner is unreachable by phone or email. There is absolutely no response. Students are going on summer vacation and families must be refunded due to the neglect of this business owner. While being upset at the outcome, I'm more disappointed that I gave this up and coming black business a chance and they let the kids down. There is no excuse for that and no excuse for not responding. After googling them, I found this is not the first time they have done this to a school. I am encouraging all of my families to give their reviews through google, yelp and to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau. You don't need to offer fundraising or be in business, if you can't produce. J & B we are waiting for you to either make good on your promise or issue a full refund! 6/1 So today we get half of the order completely unlabeled, no bags and now we have to sort through, go get bags to put them in, print labels so the type of popcorn is actually on the bag. Did I mention I'm still missing half the order and all the prizes? Juan the owner had it sent via UPS instead of hand delivering like he said he would. This is the worse experience. We used them as a school fundraiser and they have been M.I.A. we were supposed to receive the product on May 16th but then the day before we were told there was a delay and it would be longer. They gave us a new date for delivery and now that time has past with no response from them. we have called and their number is disconnected. This was supposed to be something great for the kids and this business turned it in to something horrible. Horrible horrible experience. My child school used this company for their fundraiser, not only was the popcorn late, but it was also very stale upon arrival. My child raised over $150.00 for popcorn that went to the trash. Not to mention the prizes were never received, and when we received our order all of the bags that were ordered was not there. I really wanted to like this company and was really promoting for them. The day before my visit I was gonna get some Popcornopolis from Ralph's, but opted out. I've seen J&B Popcorn in my explore/search feed on Instagram, but started following them after seeing a post from someone I know who always has thee best snacks. Got a notification about them going live on Instagram, and after watching for a few minutes I decided to give them a try. Plus, being a Black business owner and all, I wanna support Black businesses. The gentleman assisting me provided excellent customer service! Honestly, I was a tiny bit skeptical because I've read rants and raves about other food/snack small businesses on Instagram, but I only ended up disappointed after trying it myself. My daughter's school did a fundraiser with this company. I was really excited at first because I've had their popcorn before at the LA Cookie Con and I sometimes walked in to buy some. My daughter wrote her name on the wall and everything. Lemon pound cake is my favorite. Anyway, the orders from the fundraiser were extremely late, stale as ever, and they didn't send all the flavors that were ordered. They placed what they sent in one huge plastic bag. When I went through to see what I was receiving, the popcorn started spilling everywhere. The bags were not properly sealed. I have been trying to get a refund for my family, friends, and coworkers that supported my daughter. The storefront is 1 block from her school and right after this fundraising fiasco they closed down, number disconnected and I can't get an email response. It's very unprofessional. Now I have to come up with an extra $200 to refund. I don't have that. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I've been waiting to receive a refund since May. read more
