First to winterize an outdoor kitchen area in the fall, and second to de-winterize the same area in the spring. Both required a second "service call" at my expense because they missed a leak. On the de-winterization job, their recommendation to fix the leak was to cut away the stainless steel below our sink (photo attached). I'm glad they were not capable enough to do the work because the person we hired to fix it, laughed at this recommendation. It was fixed in 20 min without any cutting!!! When asked to remove the charge for their second "service call" to diagnose the problem that I found, they refused. Stay away!!!

We've since had them replace our hot water heater, update valve issues with our gas boiler etc. Jim is an angel and ALWAYS does great work. These customers who leave negative reviews must have been a high maintenance nightmare because we've never had any issues. I've left a mess on a Sunday morning when our heat shut off in middle of the night and the owner will call me back immediately and troubleshoot - he had me send pictures from my cell to help identify when our boiler tank blew and had someone out the NEXT DAY - in FREEZING COLD WINTER to fix it. We love Neves - they are always reasonable priced, give quality serve and charge a fair amount.

Our first experience with Plumbums was excellent - we had an emergency issue, Jim was able to come…read moreout within an hour or two and get it fixed, and he was on his way. When our pipes froze during the big storm this January (thankfully, without water in them), we decided to hire Plumbums again. That didn't go as well. Quality of work: The fixes Jim suggested (a series of individual junction fixes) seemed reasonable for the repairs needed, but in some cases replacing whole sections would have been more time- and cost-efficient (according to other plumbers we've had in our home who have seen the work done). And we needed four return visits within our first three days living in the house to address issues that had not been resolved or that popped up as soon as we turned systems on. One problem (heat running constantly on our first floor, making the house over 80 degrees in the winter) was unresolved until I researched possible causes myself and communicated that to Jim, who sent out one of his guys to implement the fix. Professionalism: We were frustrated by the lack of care shown toward our property. Jim's guys left plumbing debris (not just the stuff our homeowner's insurance requested, but just straight-up trash), food trash, and drywall dust in our basement and living areas. This means that the first thing we had to do after driving 3,200 miles to move in was clean up after them. Drywall was removed roughly in several locations, and although patching was not included in the estimate, the cuts themselves appeared unnecessarily sloppy (and our new plumber neatly cuts and replaces drywall as a matter of course, leaving the mudding to us, which is fine). Plumbums did work well with our insurance company to get our claim handled, and ultimately we have working plumbing. But our experience wasn't great.
