They brought out an amuse-bouche of fiddle head ferns that simply made the eyes role back in your head!! The crusted rockfish was perhaps one of the top ten meals I hav ever had, I can't gush enough about it!! My girlfriend got the brisket that was simply delicious!! This place was on a restaurant list provided by the hotel. Yelp said they did carry out and it had great reviews. The chicken pot pie sounded pretty good so we gave them a call. It would be ready quickly so that was a plus. I went in and picked it up, the decor and atmosphere was very nice. I was getting excited for dinner. What caught my attention and why the lower review was that it was frozen and had directions on how to heat it in an oven. I understand why they had to pre cook it because of the way it was cooked, but they could have warmed it up before they served it. We're traveling and had no oven. So, I thawed it out and the heated it in the low powered microwave that was in the hotel room. The food was good, but it would have been nice to know it was frozen. At least I was able to heat it eventually. What if we didn't have a microwave in the room? Since we're traveling and no way to keep it, it would have gone to waste

Old School Flair!…read more The Prohibition Hub brings the look and feel of an underground speakeasy to a modern-day level. Pretty slick-looking rustic bar greet you when you walk in. Not huge, but not a hole-in-the-wall either. The back wall informing customers of the bottles that they have behind the bar as well as the food offerings. Fantastic selection of bourbon for all brown liquor enthusiasts. Really, just about something for everyone, and more. Then, there's the aspect That You Don't See as much anymore. The cigar bar offering. A great selection of stogies to light ones fire for a relaxing drink and a slow smoke. But where to smoke this fine crafted cigar? Out on the smoking patio, but of course. Located just outside the bar, this intimate rooftop smoking section invites you just to sit and chill and relax with a few friends. Individual tables are integrated with cushioned seating areas that surround small fire pit tables. Offering a quiet warm place to relax and enjoy a very effortless night with Friends. Would I go back? Definitely. This was a favorite with a group of us that came out here after dinner one night. Great staff, good time was had by all and absolutely plan on visiting again.

But these cocktails tasted amazingly (I had a smoky old fashioned) and I think they rival anything in a posh downtown bar. -Service 4/5: The bartenders were very nice and welcoming. -Cleanliness 4/5: The place is doing everything it can to be covid-safe - Ambiance 5/5 - Given the quietness of the streets nearby, the route to the speakeasy makes it feel like a hidden gem with a little bit of mystery. The dark wooden decor, leather couches, and hint of cigar smoke all add to a classic speakeasy vibe.

Great music! Excellent whiskies and beers. Ambiance like a really nice barn :-)…read more We wanted a Memorial Day (2025) daytrip from greater-Baltimore. Harper's Ferry is very close! Like an hour (ish) drive. So what's happening in HP? The Barn out Washington St. had a MemorialDay weekend all-day mostly-country music event 2pm to 10:30pm! Very nice. They have a great little bar inside, and sometimes have food from one of the restaurants across the parking lot, or just walk over for takeout, or i think i read that they deliver here. By the way, parking can get a little tight for a bigger event like this one, but we were early enough, maybe 1pm, and we scored a space when someone left. I might as well add that there's several clean restrooms sort of across from the bar. We settled into a huge comfy couch near the back of the hall, behind the seating for roughly 30 at tables and picnic tables. There was also seating for roughly 20 at tables out on a deck. The first solo singer-guitarist, D.C.'s Kate Smiles, had a lovely voice and sweetly original interpretations of rock and pop and country songs that i knew, and a presence that made me say, Hey, Wow, I can relax in this mellow mood with a really nice whiskey from a list that my local bar would envy. By the way, they were out of the local whiskey, Devil's Due, so i had a warming fiery oaky slightly-sweet Elijah Craig bourbon, neat, with a water back. Mmmmm. The second musician, W.V.'s Andrew Copenhaver, moved among soulful blues and country, some classics, some modern. He could put an edge on his voice, and he could hit some deep bass notes, so it was a real pleasure when he gave us Folsom Prison Blues. When you can hit that low note, you have a right to do some Johnny Cash. By now i was into some crisp local beers. That little bar really has everything, including a versatile bartender who made every drink we knew, and we sampled his skills as the third musician, NoVA's Mark Cullinane, took the stage. He had a wide range of country songs, including a moving original that made us feel we were driving in our pickup behind his dad's. He had a great rich tone and great range. Like the second musician, he used some kind of looper to create full layers of harmony. What with all the beverages, we started to fade a little as the music moved into the set by NoVA's seriously-country Rowdy Ace Band around 8pm. They really lit up the hall and the patio and probably a good piece of nearby Harpers Ferry. We eventually moved on to our reservations for dinner across the parking lot at Snallygaster's restaurant. But that's another story. We had a terrific afternoon and evening. The Barn will definitely be one of our go-to spots in this town, and we'll be looking to hear these musicians again!

Theres seating at the bar and a couple tables. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly. We ordered a few drinks and the bartender was very nice to talk to. She is very passionate about the art of drink making and shared her tips and tricks. She makes a great espresso martini but would probably make you anything you asked for and would enjoy the chance to be creative. We ordered a brie platter which was decent. It was what we were looking for (not a heavy meal). They have wine for sale in the back, as well as assorted ciders, seltzers, and beers. A bit pricey in my opinion for certain items, but that's okay! They have coffee and t shirts for sale too. Dogs are allowed here and the locals seem to know each other and the bartenders know their names too. Very nice and homey to go somewhere that everyone knows each other!! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Well it all worked out how it was supposed to because the food, ambiance, and service were great here! Water carafes were provided to the table & we ordered several drinks. All of the cocktails were beautiful, colorful and had curated understated garnishes. I enjoyed the jalapeño lime fizz, one of the non-intoxicants. Food took a little longer than expected but it was worth the wait. The red pepper pesto with linguine was creamy and rich and topped with fresh Parmesan. I only wish I'd had a piece of bread to sop up the sauce at the end! I'd be interested in trying their brunch and lunch options if I'm in the area again. Our server, Tom, was attentive. The bathrooms are clean and nicely warm thanks to a heater. We all had a great time.
