Ladies listen up! If you have had issues finding auto shops that treated you fairly and didn't try to rip you off - J & E is the answer. As someone who is not just a woman but a short woman with a round "cute" face and higher pitched voice - it has always been frustratingly hard to get people to take me seriously and this translates to most men at car garages thinking I'm an easy mark. This is the first place I've gone where I don't have even the slightest trace of a suspicion they may be untrustworthy. In fact the opposite- they seemed not only trustworthy but went out of their way to help me in ways they didn't need to! I was help out by Emad. Communication wise things moved quickly because they are very busy over there, but he was always very nice. There were some basic things that needed doing. Like an oil change, a tail light out, a tire that kept losing air pressure. But also my check engine light kept coming on and the engine was making a very weird noise and it's a fiat which is more difficult to work on. I was expecting a large charge for all this. He changed the oil and light. He took the tire next door to the tire place (which he didn't have to do), he fixed the noise. As for the check engine light he said there may be some parts that need replacing - or that it could just be that the spark plug for the check engine light was dirty and he didn't want to have to charge me money if it wasn't necessary - so he just cleaned the spark plug and said I can always come back if that doesn't do the trick. Though so far it is! I was shocked at what I wound up paying. Not because it was crazy high like at other shops. But because I paid less altogether then what some chains charge JUST for an oil change. Emad truly went above and beyond to actually help - to do what was best for the car and the client. As a business this is so rare nowadays. Even just as people, this kind of kindness and honesty is rare nowadays. When I was checking out there were several other women waiting in line with me. If I could give 10 stars I would! As a woman that has no family in the state, one of my biggest fear has been needed to get my car fixed. Well let's say that I've overcome that fear with J&E auto. I brought my car in on a Monday, I received a quote Wednesday and by Friday I was back on the road!! They sent me a follow up text to make sure my care was running smoothly two days after the pick-up. My car was running better than when I got from the lot. Unfortunately, a day later it had some issues and they advised me to get it towed over. The tow guy looked at the address and said "your taking it to j&e, I take all my card there" "they are great". I've only ever taken my Prius to the Toyota dealership but after the last time where they completely ripped me off, I decided to go somewhere else. Last visit Toyota did some work and I paid and then after the fact called J&E to ask what they would charge for the same thing and the cost difference was staggering. So this time out I went straight to J&E. Emad & Robert were incredible. Efficient & communicated with me throughout. I needed a new battery and I know it cost a fraction of what it would have at the dealership. When I picked up my car and drive off, one of the warning lights was on which I'd never seen before. Robert took the car back and figured out what was going on and recalibrated the system. A couple days later Emad texted me to check in that everything is good and working well. Absolutely amazing service! Emad at J&E gave me his cell # years ago, and I keep him in my contacts. I texted him on a Monday that I might need a new battery, & he replied for me to bring the car in the next day (at 10am). 10am didn't quite work for me, so I took the car in early, around 830am...when I drove in, he told me to pull the car in, and he checked my battery IMMEDIATELY. Then when he confirmed that I did need a new battery, he replaced it right then and there...I was out of there within minutes, and was still able to make it to work on time. I totally expected to have to leave the car and pick it up later, but with his stellar service, that was not necessary. You really can't find a better mechanic in the area than this place. read more

I have a hybrid. 2007 Lexus rx400h. They diagnosed my problem the first time and r I n a diagnostic check and didnt charge me. Told me what the problem Was. Second time they gave me a diagnosis based on what i told them and when aaa came. They were right. And instead of having me drive out to them to change out a battery . Told me it was a good other and to have them do it. You know a business is really looking out for the customers sake and not their own when they turn business away for the benefit of the customer. I HAVE FOUND MY NEW MECHANIC! I've been waiting a few days to write this review because I wanted to make sure I didn't rush the comments and forget any details. I am so happy to have found Emad and his garage! Every review is spot on. I made the mistake of taking my SUV to another mechanic for a new timing belt, water pump, and all of the essentials that go with that service. When I picked my truck up from the first mechanic, my check engine light went off 20 minutes after leaving the shop. I took my car back a week later and told them I didn't have a check engine light before they did the timing belt. They kept the car for another 2 days and when I came back, still had a check engine light AND engine now had a ticking sound while idling. I didn't want to waste any more time, and run the risk of them destroying my SUV! Took my car to Emad, he said not to worry they would figure it all out and get the check engine light resolved. 3 weeks later he called me back and said he fixed the issue. My timing belt had been put on wrong. The first mechanic missed it by 1 tooth, which was causing a misfire! Emad said the ticking sound was probably due to them bending something in my engine and it would be too costly, and not worth taking the engine apart to fix it. In the end, Emad was willing to take the time to figure the issue out, and redo a job that the other mechanic didn't do. He charged me a very fair price for his time and work.
