I had called around to a half dozen shops to get a quote for a service and J&E not only offered the most competitive pricing, but they also had the best reviews so it was a no brainer. In short, I've done all the homework for you guys so there's really no need to look elsewhere! Emad is not only a consummate professional, but he's fair and honest and will tell you exactly what your car needs and does not need - with no interest in selling you down the river. In fact, I had once asked for an additional brake service (thinking it was just part of the oil change service I'd originally gone in for - which it was not ) but due to the misunderstanding on my end, Emad didn't press it and said not to worry about it and he simply ate the cost (which was well over $100). If that doesn't speak volumes, then I don't know what does. And just the other day, my coolant light came on so I went to get it topped off. Honestly this review is long overdue. I've been coming to J&E Auto for almost 4 years now. There's just so much to say. They're amazing. First, you go in and they're friendly and then they take care of your car. I really appreciate how Emad will tell me where I'm at. He'll tell me the things I have to get fixed and things I could fix that can wait. I have an old beater car and I just really appreciate that he works with me for where I'm at. I'm honestly surprised he's helped me keep my car running for as long as it has! He's never once made me feel like he was ripping me off. In fact I almost always feel like he's doing me a favor. It's so unlike every other mechanic I've been to in LA. It's really a breath of fresh air. Also the customer service is impeccable. I've still never forgotten how I had to pick up my car after hours once and called... after hours. It all happened last minute and I never expected Emad to call me back. He literally let me get my car after hours and that just never happens. I mean please don't bother them with after hours calls... but at the same time, to know that he goes to that length to help is really incredible. Emad and the whole team at J&E are top notch mechanics. They are honest and reliable. Emad is quick to respond to your inquiries and questions. He always is upfront about checking your car first and then telling you what needs to get done before charging you for the work. They do get busy but it's worth the wait because the job gets done well. I recently received a 2001 BMW 530i and brought it to J&E to make sure it's all good. Not only was his check thorough but he topped off my oil and tightened my belts that were making a noise. The car was basically fine and he gave me an extremely reasonable price for their work. I'm one of these people who only writes reviews when I'm super impressed with a business (a total of six since 2011 ...). Emad and J&E Complete Auto Service definitely fits that description! I stopped at his place a few months ago when one of my brake lights went out and they replaced both bulbs, no charge. I wasn't a customer, they didn't know me from Adam, but didn't charge me a dime. Wow! So when my engine was misfiring last week I had my little 2007 VW Rabbit towed to his place, even though they told me it that wouldn't have time to look at it for a couple of days. I knew it was worth the wait, especially since I was expecting a big bill since I've been ... let's call it "deferring maintenance" for a while :P . Upshot? Emad replaced my spark plugs and coils and said everything else is fine. Wait, what? How about shocks and tires and brakes?? All fine, he says. Told me to drive the car for a few days and if I still think it rides rough, bring it back and we'll do the shocks and struts and I'll give you a car for a loaner for a day (until it's done). Quick and pleasant experience. I dropped in during the middle of the week and their lot was PACKED with cars. Even with how busy they were, they talked with me for all of 10-15 minutes to see what I wanted done to my car. They called the next day to let me know they were already done! Some of their guys were out on lunch but there were still some people around to help me get sorted. After a fun little conversation and tips to keep wild mice out of my car, I was on the road in 10 minutes. Plus they charged less than a third of what the dealership quoted for the same service. I decided to use this auto-shop for my automobile needs (was due for an oil-change and had a valve cover leak) based on the reviews I've read about this place. Being an avid YELPer & relying primarily on other peoples' reviews, I trusted the YELP community and dropped my car off to J&E this past Saturday morning. I was told that the inspection itself would be FREE of charge, and that they would call me within an hour or so, to give me an update on what maintenance my car would require. Sure enough, shortly after I received a text message link that provided me with a digital inspection report on my car. It provided very detailed comments about their findings & they even provided pictures for me to see! (See the photos I've attached to this review) How cool is that! Emad ending up calling me and he discussed prices with me over the phone. He asked what services I wanted to get done for my car, and given that the prices were SO AFFORDABLE ( compared to other auto shops & ESPECIALLY the dealership!) I told him to repair anything & everything that needed to be done! My car is running smoother than ever & I am so thankful that I've found my go-to auto shop moving forward. I have an old Volvo and it needed an overall check-up which resulted in new brakes. A front headlight that was incredibly finicky has finally been addressed. Emad, the owner, is great. He texted me after the service to make sure I was happy, and when I got an error message that my brake light was out, he had me swing by and Robert replaced the bulb, free of charge! The price to replace my brakes, change the oil, and replace the headlight bulb was extremely fair. I called today because my check engine light went on and I'm having another brake light issue. This is the place!! Best service and great team. I took my fiat to a verified fiat mechanic (3 minutes from this spot) when my window wouldn't roll back up. They kept my car for over 4 days before finally quoting me over $1500 for a window repair and $1500 for a "vacuum leak" , oh and it would be a couple days before they got the parts in. I immediately went and picked my car up from them and took to J&E, who told me there was no vacuum leak, and fixed my window in one single day for $300. There's no where else I'm ever going to take my car. Being a young woman I'm always getting scammed at auto shops and J&E were nice , efficient and everything I could ask for!
