For example, the shelves in my children's room had a significant layer of dust on them, suggesting they were not dusted during the service. Mistakes happen, and I would have been willing to work collaboratively toward a resolution. What has been most frustrating is the lack of communication after the damage occurred. No one arrived at 8:00 AM despite the 7:00 AM reminder from them as well as an appointment in their system, and attempts to call/email went unanswered at first When I checked their system 30 minutes later, the appointment disappeared from their system. The company said it was canceled because I didn't "confirm" in their scheduling system--a requirement that wasn't clearly communicated beforehand. As a result, I traveled over two hours for nothing, lost wages because I could have worked today, wasted 13 and a half hours (4:45 AM-6:15 PM) driving and waiting for a response, and spent about $70 in fuel round trip. The owner apologized for a "misunderstanding," but even as of 6:15 PM today, I have received no further response. This is very unprofessional--especially given the impact on an elderly person's home and a time-sensitive schedule, as well as the clear lack of respect for others' time. ZERO STARS
