It was not late (before 2 PM), but all staff was busy and I was advised to either hang up and redial immediately, or - if I had an emergency - go to a clinic in Lewiston or some other far away location. I hung up and redialed - 8 times until a recording came on and said the office is closed until Monday. I can't describe my disbelief that this practice would allow their clients to be handled this way. I'm hoping this note will help improve this answering system.

It was during COVID, and we liked that they had a protocol to provide safety. Later they merged with Hometown Vet and are just a few minutes closer to us in Fairfield, but we have stayed with them rather than checking around again with local vets because we like them. They are friendly and know what they are doing. We worked with them to get our oldest cat, who was diagnosed with diabetes, set with a regime of insulin and proper eating, and he has is still doing well at 15 years old. Of course the victors can be expensive, especially with multiple cats, but I have never felt they have either overcharged or recommended work to pad the bill. They do seem to have problems filling prescriptions when you pick them up at an outside pharmacy, ; not sure why.
