I didn't know that Chuck Nash had moved from San Marcos, going towards Kyle. So I went to Chuck Nash's Collision Center where the rest of Chuck Nash used to be, while Dan went where it had to go. He got there and called me, telling me that he explained everything to them, to Chris (one of the employees), so when I found the place everything was already taken care of all I had to do was give them my phone number. I asked Chris when Chuck Nash moved and he told me about 15 years ago. I definitely need to get out more. Dan was quick, professional, honest, very helpful, and someone you actually enjoy talking to. Fantastic personality.

He drives the car up on the tilted flatbed at a 45° puts it in park and let's off the brake so the car rocks back and forth locking the transmission into park. Doesn't bother to set the parking brake. Takes off in a tear so that you're not there when he's taking it off the truck and you can hear your transmission, grinding and slamming when he takes it off the truck. Wouldn't ever use again. He doesn't givea flip about other people's property. He acts like it's totally normal. I bet he does this to everybody he can. Ruins a lot of transmissions.

Scam Artist in Disguise - Avoid at All Costs…read more Around 6:30 PM, after a 12-hour shift, I pulled over on the freeway because my driver-side exhaust pipe had slipped off and was dragging. While waiting for family to arrive, a man in a white Chevy truck with yellow emergency lights stopped. He was around 5'8", gray beard, with a young girl (his daughter, I assume) in the passenger seat. Before even looking under the car, I told him exactly what was wrong -- the pipe had come loose just past the catalytic converters and was scraping. I made it very clear I didn't need anything major, just for it to stop scraping so I could get home. I also told him I could give him gas money or $50 as a thank-you. He agreed. Without saying much else, he immediately had his daughter bring over a jack and an angle grinder. He then sawed off the exhaust pipe completely -- a process that took maybe 15 minutes. Afterward, he told me to start the car (now sounding much louder, obviously), said it "sounded better that way," and started writing something. What he handed me was a printed "receipt" charging me $350 for "grinder work" and a "torn O2 sensor repair" -- both of which are absolute lies. My O2 sensor wasn't damaged, and I had no check engine light or error codes. When I refused to pay, he got aggressive, trying to crowd me against my trunk while saying his daughter was a witness that I "agreed to pay." Let me be clear: I didn't ask him to cut anything. I didn't approve the cost beforehand. I didn't agree to pay a set amount. I didn't even call him -- he pulled over on his own. He started fake-calling someone and threatening to "get me towed." When I stood my ground, he said absurd things like "death by deceivement" (not a real thing) and started trying to manipulate me into paying. Then my family arrived, and he yelled at my mother while trying to guilt her into paying. My mom, wanting to de-escalate and get home to my recovering grandma, offered him $140 -- which he snatched and left with. The receipt he gave me? No name, no client info, no license, no car model -- completely bogus. This man is a predator who takes advantage of people stranded and vulnerable. He intimidated me and my family, lied about the damage, and tried to bully money out of us for something I never agreed to. He's running a scam operation with no integrity, and dragging his daughter along for it -- which is honestly heartbreaking. To the man who scammed me: You said it would cost $60 to weld the exhaust back on. So why would it cost $350 to hack it off? You're not just dishonest -- you're deliberately abusive. I hope someday you feel the kind of violation and disrespect you inflict on hardworking people. Avoid this roadside "mechanic" at all costs. Call a tow truck or wait for someone you trust. This man is a scammer and a thief. BELOW ARE THE PHOTOS OF THE RECEIPT HE USED FOR EXTORTION AND THE AFTERMATH THAT SUPPOSEDLY COST $350 https://www.imghippo.com/i/Dosj5576vE.png https://www.imghippo.com/i/BEU1944GWk.png

We called Tire Express and they let us know that they only had a used tire in our size and it would be $150 for the roadside service and tire. They came out and changed our tire for us. We were relieved until we got home and noticed the "used" tire they gave us. It had cracks all around the edges of the tire. I have two young children and don't feel safe driving on that and risk having another blow out. While I didn't expect a new tire, I did expect one that would last me about half as long as a new one. We called them and the guy on the phone told us he would take care of it for us. However, when I took my car to the shop, I was met with a lot of resistance about how they don't warranty used tires. They ended up putting on a different tire to "help us out". After I got home, I looked at the 2nd tire they put on and it is completely bald! So if you are stranded on the road, you will have a better time calling a tow company and paying for a tow to Discount Tire than getting Tire Express to replace it unless you plan on paying to replace it again immediately.

It turns out the bolts holding the center caps were all a different size not just the one that the technician put on that left the cap rattling all the way home. It also turns out when they came to take care of it all they did was tighten the living you know what out of the oversized bolt. I'm real lucky that he didn't strip the threads in the wheel by forcing that bolt in there. I'm also lucky that I found out within a month or two of them doing all of this. I took the caps off before I took the car to the mechanic to have the tires rotated. That's when I found the different sizes of bolts and the oversized one that was so tight I could barely get it off. I took the oversized bolts in to show it to them and they acted lIke nothing out of the ordinary. They ordered bolts from the manufacturer that were the right length, but they have a big head on them that sticks out of the center cap. But I'm leaving well enough alone, too aggravating to go back to the same place more than three times to get something done right that should've been right the first time. I guess the technicians are paid by the car because they're pushing those things out as fast as they can and they don't seem to take much care. We all know how hard it is to get businesses to make things right I'm just lucky they didn't strip the threads in those wheels. If you buy wheels from this place, don't get any that have a removable cap that covers the lug nuts. And check everything they do.
