Absolute waste of time. Do NOT bring 2018+ Ram/Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge here!** I am incredibly frustrated with my experience at this location. I took my 2025 Ram 2500 here for an alignment. Before even driving down, I specifically called ahead to ask if they could perform the alignment *and* recalibrate the steering angle sensor. The employee on the phone assured me they could do both and quoted me prices for both a single and a lifetime alignment. Based on that confirmation, I booked an appointment for the same day. After sitting in the waiting room for over an hour, I overheard the technician telling the front desk clerk that while the alignment was done, he couldn't recalibrate the steering angle sensor because "it wasn't an option on any of their tools." I immediately confronted the person behind the counter. This is completely unacceptable. Anyone who knows trucks knows that without recalibrating that sensor, you will still experience issues with the steering wheel not being straight, pulling, and improper tracking. The employee then went into the shop to help the technician. A few minutes later, he came back and claimed they just needed to "renew the subscription" on their Autel scan tool. So, I sat there for *another* 45 minutes. Finally, I watched my truck get pulled around to the front. They walked in and admitted that even after updating their subscription, they **still** couldn't recalibrate the sensor. **The Bottom Line:** While they didn't charge me for the alignment since they couldn't finish the job, they wasted two hours of my day and left my truck unresolved. If you own a 2018 or newer Chrysler, Ram, Jeep, or Dodge, consider this a warning: **Do not bring your vehicle to this Firestone.** They do not have the necessary equipment or tools to properly service your steering sensors. I needed to get some routine maintenance done on my truck while working in San Marcos. I had used this Firestone location previously and did not have any issues with a complete tune-up. The most recent reviews were negative for this location but I thought I would try them again. I met with Daniel the service advisor at my 7:00 am scheduled appointment. Daniel gave me a complete estimate for the services I requested and followed up later when my truck was finished and ready to be picked up. I was very pleased that the estimate and final invoice was exactly the same, and they did not try to up sell unnecessary services or parts. My truck was ready on time, and the multi-point inspection identified some services for my next maintenance appointment. I would recommend this location, having two successful appointments completed for maintenance services. read more

That is until I showed up with my new "out of common"vehicle. For whatever reason, employees seems to find pretty normal to take my truck for a spin without consulting nor asking. Hell no! On top of it, I had to ask why they were not balancing my tires during the rotation--service I had purchased. Felt I had to keep an eye on the work performed--management is not! This location has moved to my OFF LIMITS places--if these people are taking special vehicles for spin to have fun, it will not be on my dime! I went here to get my brake pads and roders replaced. It took them around 2 hours just to get done with the inspection. Then another 2 hours to take the brake pads off. After that they figured out that there was something else wrong. In the end it costed around $700 for that to get fixed. Don't go here. read more

This firestone store is holding my truck now for almost two full weeks after they claim my daughter authorized over $2,400 worth of repairs I in the driveshaft and ac of my 2005 Chevy Avalanche. After I complained and insisteno such authorization was made, I was emailed by Matt Coffin (areas manager). Matt claims my daughter tee was recorded authorizing the repairs but will not allow me to review the recording. My daughter insists she made no such authorization. I don't understand why I wiuldnt be allowed to review the recorded authorization if it exists. Matt Coffin has continued to demand I pay the balance in full. In one of his bullying e-mails he even went as far as telling me I would only be allowed to pay the balance in cash. I informed Matt Coffin that an employee had told me they were going to remove the new parts and just throw the old, broken parts in the truck bed. How is this even possible when I drove my truck into the Firestone?! Matt's response was that the employee should have called someone to ask if that was a viable option before he responded out of frustration. He continued to inform me that regardless of that happening, nothing was going to change as far as Firestone's official stance on the matter. He did offer me a $50 discount for the 30 minute hold time my daughter was placed while dealing with acting management. Wow!! Just got an A/C check here was told I had a bent condenser quoted 1100 for replacement however I was alarmed when I found a condenser from auto zone for 100 while they quoted me one 3 times more expensive. Upon asking the technician about the price difference I was told that "they're a business and they get different prices" which didn't make sense whatsoever because obviously a business would pay LESS than me due to wholesale pricing. Needless to say Firestone WILL try to rip you off, called another shop for the same replacement and I was quoted half the cost. read more

On 08/21/19, my vehicle (2010 Ford Mustang) was brought into the Firestone Complete Autocare in San Marcos, TX- Store #351338- for repairs. The vehicle was intermittently blowing hot air from the air conditioning system and the engine was also intermittently stalling out. After paying for an AC performance check AND Diagnostic Service fee, we were told that the vehicle needed a new A/C compressor, flush, recharge as well as a fuel system cleaning. On that date, we opted for only the fuel system cleaning which priced us out the door at $245.59. These fees included the diagnostic fees and fuel system clean out. We advised Firestone we would have to return for the AC compressor when we could afford it as the estimate for that repair was over $1300. We then took the vehicle to a third party mechanic for a second opinion. This mechanic advised that he did not think the AC compressor was bad but believed their was a problem with power getting to the compressor as he was able to get the compressor to function with an alternate power source.That mechanic believed the evap temperature sensor may have been bad. This mechanic was not backed by a major corporation and so we decided to return to Firestone for repairs. On 09/02/19 we returned to the listed Firestone and explained to them the third party diagnostic. We were told that they GUARANTEED their diagnosis and that if the issues were not repaired, they would ensure that the vehicle would be fixed. After paying $1302.10 for repairs, the vehicle immediately began exhibiting the same problems - blowing hot air from the AC and intermittently stalling. The vehicle was brought back into the same listed Firestone on 09/07/19 to be correctly repaired. It was at this time that we were now told, by Nick-the manager, there was an issue with the computer system that was causing the listed problems and we would now have pay for that to be repaired and not refunded for the misdiagnosis! The listed issues (AC blowing hot air AND vehicle stalling) DID NOT CHANGE! The initial diagnosis was incorrect and I have now paid $1547.69 to repair the problems that HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED!. read more

Then told me they could not do the alignment because of my control arm bushings which has NOTHING to do with completing the alignment. Went to Brake check and they knocked it out in 30 minutes. I had a flat tire and I went here to get it fixed as it was a Sunday and Discount Tire was closed. I have had wonderful experiences with Firestone in the past. Well not this time. First, the wait was super long. Another customer and I were told "well every one of the employees here is working on a car". Quoted an hour and a half. Cool. I was told that all I needed was a patch so they patched it up. I thought I was good to go. About half an hour later (and the next town over) I get a flat tire AGAIN on the same tire. They give advice on repairs to replace stuff such as cabin air filters even though my vehicle doesn't have cabin air filters. They don't call you when your vehicle is done with service. The girl in the front office gives you your paperwork without explaining anything that was done and if you ask what was done, the first response she gives is "uhhhhhhhhh......let me check hold on". This place is terrible. I came in once for a $300 brake job for my mustang and once they put the brakes back on they forgot an entire guide pin. So my brake cut loose and I couldn't stop my vehicle so I pulled into the grass off the highway and came to a stop and drive to a gas station using my emergency brake. Firestone then had to tow my vehicle the following day and I refused to pay for it and Finnally they owned up to their mistakes and even then didn't fix my brakes bur Gave me worse ones. After a while I noticed they had put the back pad of my newly replaced brake on backwards. So no please do not go to Firestone in San Marcos. This place is straight up ass lol read more

They told me that I needed all four sets of brake pads and four rotors replaced even though I had replaced them about a year prior. So I went home, checked them myself, and one pad was bad and had started grinding the rotor, so I needed one pad and one rotor. If I didn't do my own brakes that would have cost me an additional $400 that day. Needless to say, probably not going to trust any other repairs they recommend. read more

Came here to get my rear view mirror fixed as it was hit and hanging off. The mirror itself had no damage and the sensors were still connected, it just needed to be put back on. Upon walking in I asked the employee about it and without even going to look at my car told me they would have to order a whole new mirror. I explained it wasn't broken and just needed to be bolted back in and was met with a rude response saying that they can't do that. When I asked what the price would be he said he doesn't know and gave me no useful information. Went to a different business later that day and easily got it fixed. We took our 4Runner there for years to get oil changes. We started getting engine light signs and ran a diagnostic there. The mechanic said our head gasket was going bad. He said it would cost 4000+ to fix. After about a week of my husband driving the 4runner just down the street a few times all of the engine lights went on. We ended up selling our car to our friend who is a certified mechanic. After looking at the car he said they loosened the coils in the engine which is not only dangerous but it also can make all the engine lights turn on. I am going to the Better Business Bureau about this and maybe even more. We have sacrificed a lot being without that car and come to find out it could all be because of their doing. Took my truck in just to get looked at which cost a little over $100, the issue was my spark plugs which I was assuming was the issue and another minor replacement but they wanted over $700 to replace them so I decided not to do it with them, I get my keys back and my truck was only blowing hot air. I get home and see that my truck is leaking a lot of water and coolant which caused my truck to start overheating, I took my truck in for a simple diagnostic and it came back a lot worse, I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I stopped here on my way from Austin to Corpus to have my oil changed. After an hour, they told me I had a significant oil leak and that they'd like to run a diagnostic to locate the leak. I declined their diagnostic and continued to Corpus. I've kept an eye on my oil level since. It has been a week now and my oil level is exactly where it should be. I usually don't leave reviews, but read if you will: Came in because my truck was overheating and was recommended to fix 3 things that would run me about $1,000 (thermostat, coolant hoses, water pump). I paid, they "fixed", and I drove off the lot thinking my truck would be fixed. The moment I leave, my truck begins to overheat completely, and I bring it back immediately. They run another diagnostic and tell me "you have leaking head gaskets and most likely will need a whole new engine block" ($6k+ after labor). I called BS, had my truck towed to A & A Automotive, and Adam at A&A diagnosed and fixed my truck for $297 with a Thermostat replacement (one in which Firestone states that they just replaced not more than a day before). This saved me $5,700 easily. All in all, if you want honest, trustworthy, and reliable auto care, DO NOT come to Firestone. I'll recommend A&A Automotive over and over after this. read more

After waiting awhile he came back and stated that there are 3 more alignments ahead of ours and would be upwards of 3 hours but there was no one waiting or anything in the bays. (If I could give this review ZERO stars I would... Being a woman, I am very hesitant about taking my car to anyone I don't know because I don't want to be taken advantage of or belittled. I took my 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse to this location because my CEL came on and my car hesitated when I applied the gas. The feedback the manager gave me about the diagnostics test results about my car sounded suspicious. He told me that I had three codes: p0421, p0301 and p0401. I was told that I needed all these services completed: 1- remove and replace cylinder head gasket (both sides)... Mechanic claimed this service needed to be done due to the p0421 code. 2- spark plugs and wires replacement (due to p0301 code) 3- replace timing belt 4- water pump replacement 5- remove and replace EGR valve (due to p0401 code) 6- $350 worth of non-system services (whatever those are) I politely declined majority of the "recommended" services except replacing the spark plugs/wires. I have already had the EGR valve replaced recently. Also the car is showing zero signs of a blown/leaking head gasket. The shop refused to just replace spark plugs/wires only. They said I must have my head gasket replaced as well or they wouldn't work on my vehicle at all. I definitely don't recommend this location to anyone needing any type of auto care services unless you want to try to pay for services you don't want/need. Side note: I took my car to Auto zone and O'Reilly Auto Parts to get a free code reading... The p0421 code did not show up at either location, just the other two codes. read more

Went to get my tires checked because it was wobbly. They told me that my tires had separation problems, and said they needed to be replaced. I agreed, because I had no idea what I was doing and I'm pretty sure they sensed that. My sister called and stopped me, and told me to go to another place to get a second opinion. I went to both Goodyear and discount tires. They both told me that there was no separation happening in my tires. I just needed to get them balanced and rotated. Why would firestone be so mean, and try to make me buy new tires if I didn't need to? That's so mean... anyway, they do offer a 15% student discount. I got my oil changed with that discount! $31.84 for standard. Not sure if that was cheap. Customer service was nice. read more

SHADY AND UNETHICAL.My girl went there for an oil change. They told her she had a nail in her tire and that it needs to be replaced. We took the car to discount tires because they have cheaper tires and they told her that there was no nail in her car they even double checked and so did we. I'm assuming at firestone, they were going to make her pay for the tire then resell her old one. A questionable business they have going on.
