Just moved to Texas and had to get 3 cars inspected. Took one to the car dealership first and they said it would be several hours to wait. Took the second to Texas Express and they got us completed in less than 10 minutes. The next day I took the 3rd vehicle to them and there were 3 cars in front of me. Well I got taken advantage of and learned a pricey lesson. I dont know as much about cars so when the worker here pointed to a little gunk and said "that's really bad, this looks like its never had an engine flush" I got worried. I asked how often it needed it and he said "every 15,000 miles, and this might not get all of it so you're gonna want to do it again very soon". He made it sound like my car would break down soon if I didnt get this $90 service NOW. But afterward doing as much research as I could the general consensus from the manufacturer and from most mechanics is to NEVER do an engine flush as it runs the risk of damaging and dramatically decreasing the lifespan of your engine, and that there's no way a minute lube worker could make that call if any flush was necessary at immediate glance like the worker here did. The fact that he made up bogus numbers and said I better do it a second time soon to be safe is pretty awful. Be smart. Learn from my mistake. If youre looking for a good oil place definitely skip this one. They truly do not care. EDIT: got a message from owner. Its a considered and courteous response. But doesnt address that manufacturers don't just not acknowledge it, they say NOT to do it. Didnt acknowledge that the worker just rushed to offer it without any actual assessment if it was needed or could damage the engine. Didnt acknowledge that "engine flushes" are largely superfluous and definitely an unnecessary upsell that was pushed hard, going against the company ethos. And that company ethos and positive reviews here are what attracted me here over the many other options for oil changes. Hopefully this review sheds a better light for customers. You cant change a bad experience, but you can do better in the future. Good luck. read more

Not a bad place to get your oil changed. My only problem was the list of stuff they brought to me that i needed done. If it was up to them, my oil change would have ran around $3-400. It almost seems like they made up a list to try to get people to think these minor problems are more severe. Even if these things are bad like coolant fluid and air filter, the prices on that paper seemed pretty expensive. Would just recommend getting an oil change and be on your way. I used a $10 off and am still wishing I did at Walmart with this $50 change. read more
