I bought a Van here that the rear brakes were 100% worn and the front brakes were 90% worn with hardware missing. Soon after I fixed those I had to put in a new battery and alternator. Then I had to replace the fan motor and a resister for the air conditioning. All within 6 weeks of buying it costing me $1,376.42. I have bought several used cars in my life time but never one this bad. These guys are crooks and don't care what kind of junk they sell. If you haven't bought here yet check out all the bad reviews. I bought a Hyundai Santa Fe at a reasonable price. Lee sold me the car, I test drove it. The car ran fine no complaints so far. Will be back again. Update: took the car to Firestone to get it inspected they told me that I should have brought them the car before I bought it, they say a lot of the parts were just painted over, the car needs about $4,000 worth of work. Yep they pretty much sold me a lemon will not ever buy from them again. Came in here because of a Craigslist Offerup ad for a car listed as 5400. The first thing out of his mouth was cash, check, credit card only. No financing. Which was great for us. Then he told us the price out the door would be 6500-6600. I said we only brought 5500 cash. He said they could finance the only 1000. SKETCHY! I said no but went to look at it. Purchased what looked like a good condition, 2012 KIA Sorento from this "dealership" on 02/16/2022. They provided a "15 day drivability warranty" which JUST covers drive train and it being able to be DRIVEN. On 02/23/2022 the engine started making ticking/tapping noises when starting. By 02/24/2022 the noise grew loud enough to contact them, but since it was RUNNING they told me has to be worse and that "there are stupid people every day" driving home 02/24/2022 the engine began sounding if someone had tossed a HAMMER inside of it and I was LUCKY to make it home. Contacted KIA and was told "IT SHOULD NO LONGER BE DRIVEN" as it may not be safe and will certainly fail! Contacted J&M 02/25/2022 to inform them the SORENTO can no longer be driven and was told "The salesman who sold it HAS to contact me. Called @ 10am when they opened and heard back by 12:30. They asked for the vehicle back so their MECHANIC can look at it. Was returned 02/25/22 @ 1pm. 1st: I would, at this point, suggest not do business with these people, they SEEM stand up till there is ACTUALLY a problem. Then things seem shady. 2nd: BUYER BEWARE. J&M operates on the "THERE IS A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE" principle. (though this was just what ONE sales person represented 3rd. Will update or change this entry on the RARE possibility they DO contact me and settle this in the next 6 days left ON my warranty. Purchased a 2012 Nissan Maxima SV from Lee at J&M. Don't normally buy cars from dealers, but we really liked this particular Maxima SV and Lee had an exceptional pricing policy. He was easy to deal with and a good communicator. As always... let the buyer beware; we noticed a few things about the car (AC not seeming to blow full cold and very small coolant leak) which he addressed immediately, and had a repair shop fix the next day. He indicated that he won't sell a car with known mechanical issues, which I found refreshing in this industry. We've had the car for a few weeks now, and are very happy with our purchase and overall experience with at J&M. All his cars seemed priced to MOVE. as I found that most of the cars on his lot had a Car Gurus "great deal" ($3k or more below market) endorsement. I would certainly buy from J&M again in the future - even with the added burden of sales tax, his prices were very competitive vs. private party vehicles. read more

I had called a couple of times and had asked Lee a few questions before we drove from California to look at a vehicle in Arizona. He was always very helpful and answered every question. This was the easiest dealership I have ever worked with. We were in and out within 2 hours and that included the thorough test drive my husband did. All day I was going from dealership to dealership, trying to find a decent car for a low price. Everywhere I went had cars that were in my price range, but they were really banged-up, and pretty underwhelming. It was getting to be late in the day, and since I had to buy a car THAT day (long story), I was pretty discouraged that I would have to settle for an old car with scratches and dings all over it. J and M Imports was my last-ditch attempt at finding a car I was happy with. I had read the yelp reviews of J and M, and didn't really want to go there because of the low reviews I saw. But when I got there I was SO pleasantly surprised! Every single car on their lot was in pristine condition--even the ones in my dirt-cheap price range. Lee, the man who worked with us, was another pleasant surprise. I had just spent a good part of my day talking to typical "shady used-car salesmen" who acted all charming to try and sell me either a piece of junk, or something MUCH more expensive than my price range. Lee, however, was just a normal guy talking to me about cars. He wasn't overly pushy, he didn't try to trick me into raising my price range, and just told it how it was. I tried driving a couple of their cars, and within maybe an hour or two, I drove away with a car that not only fit all of my parameters, but also looked practically new! If there was something less than 1 star, that is what I would choose. Drove from Phoenix to Yuma. Shimmy in front end when driving about 65 mph. Thought maybe problem with a tire. Was promised that in great working order and had new tires. We took it to Fisher - the dealer for an inspection. Told us it was not even safe to drive and we were lucky we made it home from Phoenix alive. No wonder a little rough drive, turns out there were 4 different size tires, plus both tie rod ends were worn out and vehicles wheel hub and bearing assemblies had to be replaced. Front Brake callipers were missing brake pad retaining clips. Existing rack and pinion had to be removed and replaced. and 4-wheel alignment. There was a recall that had not been done involving unintended ignition key rotation as well. To the tune of $4,989. We paid cash $4,400. to purchase the car. In otherwords, we paid more in repairs than we did for the friggen car. The worst dealer ever. read more

DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THESE CROOKS!!! THEY SELL LEMONS!!!! I just bought my son's 1st car here less then 2 months ago and it already broke down and we barely went about 500 miles!!! All the check engine lights came on all at once. I took it to a shop that Failed it for too many safety hazards, they said it it not safe to drive on the road!!! For starters, everything under the hood is leaking or needs to be replaced, it will take up to $3500 for the current repairs, not to mention any other issues that might come up since they lie about they conditions of their cars! They do not care about your situation, they have VERY BAD customer service. I asked Lee and the owner how they can sleep at night knowing they are selling trash to hard working people, not to mention putting minor children in danger!! It's now been 8 months since I bought this piece of garbage for these guys ends up needing $1,600 worth of suspension work which was like that when I bought the car which was never a discus or told me about and when I called him back to see if I getting stretch you play C is very rude to me on the phone now I find out the catalytic converter is shot that's another $1,000 and it's gotten to the point where I've I've had the rear brakes replaced four separate times and they cannot repair it due to the way the rear axle is this car is a mess I ended up paying well over $4,000 for this get it checked out read more

Not one person greeted us and they acted like we were putting them out by asking two questions.We found the cars on our own and the sales guy was nowhere to be found. My husband and I walked onto the lot about 15 minutes before they were due to close and after wandering around a bit,we found Lee inside the office. We were there to look at a specific vehicle and he helped us find it. As soon as my husband expressed our immediate wish to purchase, Lee brightened up considerably. Honestly, we left the establishment about 20 minutes after they'd have closed up for the night, and with a beautiful, sweet running, pre-owned vehicle to boot. Take it to the mechanic this morning and it needs a new alternator and more. Going to contact the Better Business Bureau and I think they're carfax report was fraudulent so that's going to the county attorney. Well I found J&M imports off a craigslist ad for a VW GTI that was reasonably priced, once I went to the dealer I noticed the frame on the car had damage. The salesman informed me the car was a salvage title. So this was my first warning sign, then I test drove a VW Jetta TDI that I was suspicious of so I spent $138 out of my own pocket in advance to have Camelback VW inspect the car. The results were astonishing, the car had over 7 pages of engine codes and over $8k in repairs. I returned the car and gave the sheet of codes to the salesman who acted like he already knew they were selling a "red light" car. People do a pre-purchase inspection if dealing with this dealer. He has NO integrity and is a disgust to the company. On top of that he was being a smart ass to my mom when she was asking simple questions. My man and I bought a car from them. We paid it in full and was told we would have the title and plate before the the temp expired. We here it is a week after the expiration date still no title or plate. My man called in and they told him we would have it last week. Now I called today and was told that it just went in for processing on the 4th and should have the plate and title this week. We paid off the car over 3 weeks ago why the hell did it just go into processing. When I asked lee why it just went into processing he couldn't give me an answer. All he would say is it didn't matter how long ago I paid it off it is what it is. I even told him I had a driveway weight and he asked by we are not driving it. Well lee I don't want to get a ticket for diving on an expired plate. He stated that we could not get a ticket for that. Nice try it's a flipping driveway weight till the plates come in. I ask to test drive the car and one of the salesman (his name was Lee) wanted to negotiate pricing before I can even test drive. He was basically stereotyping me and made it seem like if I can't purchase the car at his price, then I can't test drive it. The first thing I was told when I asked for a test drive on a 2004 Lexus GX470 was "is this in your price range?". I was taken back... as if I would be standing there if I couldn't afford the vehicle. I was with my kids so I stayed composed. Vehicle was obviously wrecked and repaired (poorly). Needed brakes when craigslist add stated "NEW brakes". The sales guy LEE was an absolute nightmare. Very rude, very pushy, didn't want to answer any questions. Selection on the used car lot was nice and I got the car I wanted. Reason for 1 star is the fact that the repairs that needed to be done exceed what I would have paid for the same car with nothing wrong with it. When asking the salesmen Jack and Lee about whether they were aware of the issues that I found(I have taken the car to 3 different mechanics who verified the same findings), it was news to them. I have to take them at their word that this is true. But they take the cars to get checked out before selling them to my understanding and so it may have been the fault of the mechanic that took a look at it. You are better going with a used car lot that offers some kind warranty aside from abiding by the "lemon law," or who has good accreditation meaning they don't sell you something that you have to pour thousands of dollars into as soon as you drive off the lot. Better to pay a little more than to have to pay a lot more right after buying the car. read more

When I got back someone approached me and asked if I liked it. Still no pressure to buy. They allowed me to start the negoation and purchase process. Unfortunately, I had quite a bad experience today. I called in over the phone to return a call from Lee about a car I was very set on buying. His attitude was very aggressive and annoyed. I got the impression that I was annoying him. I was shocked because I did my research on this dealership and reviews looked great! I am always a little hesitant of these smaller used car dealerships. I had a few questions about the car in which I got short answers for and criticized because i said miles were "high". When I asked about a possible trade in, his response was typical low ball offer. It is unfortunate because I had the cash ready to go. I was willing to pay full price for this car as it truly was a great value.
