Upon receiving the quote from Duncan I had a few questions that he answered immediately. Once I decided to move forward with them they installed the furnace & AC units within a few days. The installation was great. They answered all of my questions without rushing. I could not be more pleased with their professionalism and expertise. I don't think I would have received a better value for my money anywhere else.

The leak turned out to be unrepairable so I asked Dave for an estimate to replace the unit. His price was WAY better than some of the bigger names in the area. He ordered it and got it installed quickly and professionally. He was able to re-use a lot of the existing infrastructure in order to keep our costs down. His work is top notch and he took the time to make sure the unit was properly tuned and answered all of my questions completely. After bleeding the system and filtering a cleaning solution throughout, we found the boiler itself would not fire at all. He spent an hour or so running diagnostics but determined the system itself was beyond saving. This is a duplex, so this involved two (2) 40 year old boilers. He stopped everything he was doing and cleared his schedule to replace the systems for me so that me and my neighbor upstairs would have heat this winter. He completed the work in a timely manner, coordinating the delivery of all materials, and removal of all scrap. He was accommodating, and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. As a bonus, his work is bar-none, the finest mechanical installation I have seen in a residential setting. You certainly get more than you pay for. I will exclusively be calling TDS Mechanical & Plumbing for any service I need going forward.

This was the first winter with a new propane furnace and it failed in the middle of the night when…read morethe temperature dropped to negative 4 degrees. I called a handful of companies and none were able to come out. I called Best Plumbing & Cooling Contractors and they asked for my contact information and then messaged me to say that there was a $300 "Emergency Fee". Although that seemed high, I had no other option. The technician arrived within the hour. He told me that he had to leave the truck running with flashing lights. My neighbor, who was also awake with a failed propane furnace, saw the vehicle in my driveway and called to see if I was ok. My neighbor told me to tell the technician to try going outside and warming up the propane regulator. He said he just warmed his up and his heat came back on. I relayed this to the technician, but he did not take him up on his suggestion. At one point he changed the flame sensor but that didn't fix the problem. He asked me if I wanted to keep the new flame sensor in or if he should take it back out. I said it was fine to leave it in. He continued to try different things and finally after an hour or so, borrowed a lighter and repeatedly put the flame up to the propane coming towards the flame sensor and got it to light. I asked the technician multiple times to please explain what he did. My husband was out of town this whole time and I wanted to be able to explain to my husband what we should do when this happens again. He kept ignoring my question but then finally said if you get it light up a few times, after a while it will stay lit. When it was time to settle the bill, I was flabbergasted at the price. It was the $300 Emergency Service, plus another $300 Labor Emergency Rate! All together, my bill was $720.79. The description on the bill was flame sensor installed, but again, the flame sensor was not the issue. After doing some research the following morning, it seems that my neighbor was correct and that the first thing you should try is warming up the regulator on the propane tank. It would seem the issue could have been fixed in 10 minutes. I have called and left messages 5 times to discuss my bill with no call backs. I am so confused as to why there are so many 5 star reviews when they won't even return my phone calls.

We have been using TSK Heating and Cooling for just about 10 years. We first met Todd with TSK in…read more2010. We hired him to service a 20 year old Carrier A/C on its last legs. He kept it running for another year and half and in mid 2011 we used him to to put in a brand new furnace and central air. It was a pretty straightforward job. He replaced our old oil fired furnace with a brand new natural gas Carrier Infinity furnace and central A/C. We had no issues with that equipment when we sold our home 8 years later in 2019. Fast forward to 2020. We purchased a new house with Geo Thermal heating and cooling. We were excited for it until a month after moving in (November) the heat stopped working. Only one company in the area works on geo thermal and they determined it had a massive leak in the loop system in our yard, but they did not know where. They were kind enough to let me know that the loop system is 100 year life span pipe! Well apparently it isn't. Rather than invest major bucks in a brand new loop and with winter fast approaching we again called Todd with TSK. This time around TSK had more work to do. While our home had natural gas, it was built with Geo Thermal so there was more work to do putting in conventional heating and cooling. Todd and his crew got rid of the Geo Thermal system and had us up and running with a brand new high efficiency Lennox furnace and central air. He got the furnace installed fast, the night he completed the work we went from 30 degree weather to single digits. I can't say enough good things about TSK. I did get other quotes and TSK by far was they cheapest. Even if TSK was not the cheapest I probably would have still hired TSK as I know they do quality work and stand behind what they do!
