In my initial request, I included two photos one of which was the inside of my toilet tank so J & R Pluming would be able to quickly assess the situation. Javier showed up with proper replacement parts for a quick changeout of the fill valve and associated gaskets/washers/etc and no extra time was wasted needing to leave to shop for parts. We called Javier for service and he came to our Palmdale home and did a great job the first time. Then we were moving from Palmdale and we had a water filter system hooked up so we asked if he can remove it so we can bring it to our new house. He took it apart and offered to put part of the system in his truck and bring it back when he comes to install it our new place. That was back in December and he hasn't answered my calls or texts. We never got our water system back! He only answered me once and said that he would come to install the well after and we never heard from him again. Won't answer our calls or texts. Our shower head was leaking about a drop a second and getting worse. I figured I'd take a stab at repairing it but ended up getting more intimidated the deeper I went in. So I sent out a mass quote request and found Javier of J&R Plumbing. He replied promptly with a reasonable quote and immediate availability. Within an hour and a half after my request, my shower head was repaired and he did it for free! Turns out that instead of needing my cartridge replaced, which was the initial diagnosis, a good cleaning was all that was necessary. Javier is a friendly, knowledgeable and honest worker. He even put shoe covers on, which was the first sign that I could trust him as a decent human being. First time we called him we had a leak coming in from the main waterline feeding into the house due to a failed pipe fitting. He came the day of contacting him and fixed it right away. Second time we there was a leak coming from the pipe feeding into what we thought was a disconnected water softener. J&R plumbing was the 2nd opinion and they were able to diagnose the issue and called multiple times to describe the work they were doing. One of our three bathrooms shower faucet handles broke during the Easter holiday weekend. J&R was the only plumbing company willing to work on the holiday to repair the handle, which if not fixed would of caused us to have the water to the house turned off for another day until the faucet was fixed (if the faucet was not fixed water would have continuously run). Pluses: - Offered options of handles to replace the old one with (not just some stock replacement). This was a nice touch. - Cared enough to check out the rest of the fixture and cleaned out sediment, partially glogging the pipe. - Cleaned off all the old waterproof sealant from faucet plate and applied new sealant. - Javier was an very friendly and nowlegable technician. ***We call J&R again for our future plumbing needs. read more
