Filipino food in Aurora? This I had to see. The signage outside says Asian Food Mart. I actually came looking for some specific ingredients and left with ready-to-eat food instead. The grocery portion of this shop is small and geared towards Filipino cuisine. I was looking for pa-lo powder, but didn't find any here. They have a bunch of other powders for making Filipino food, though. They also have refrigerated and frozen items, snacks, and the basic sauces, e.g. fish sauce, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, etc. Being a small grocery, prices are slightly higher than the big retail boxes like H-Mart. As for the ready-to-eat food, they are located near the front of the store next to the cash register. There were various unmarked dishes ready-made when I came around lunch time. $3 for small, $6 for medium. I can only assume $9 for large, but I'm not sure. Lumpia (pork egg roll) is $0.40/ea - Crispy and delicious! Pork Adobo - Oily and very tasty. The pork was tender and juicy. Ulam - This eggplant with bitter melon dish was good.

Their sign actual says "Asian Food Store", so we weren't sure that we arrived to the right place when we first came here. The store is small, but they offer a good variety of Filipino goods, from rice, to sauces to Filipino desserts and more. They also provide ready-made Filipino dishes. Its small and the interior is not grand, but that's expected for a typical Filipino "sare sare" store. We've been here twice now, when we were craving quick, authentic Filipino food to take home. Again, food is not made to order, but that's fine with us. So far, we've tried their pancit, lumpia, adobo and kare kare with bagoong, which is my favorite. Food is served ala cart, with sizes from small to large. Their food is delicious and always hits the spot. They are in Aurora near the Naperville border, which is very convenient for us. This will be our go-to spot when we are craving quick Filipino food or want to grab some Filipino goodies.

Really good place for Authentic Filipino food and grocery shopping!

I'm such a foodie. When you don't want to cook and missing home, the food is comforting. Authentic Filipino food. The desserts are yummy.

Didn't have a lot of items I was looking for that I found at other oriental stores. Attendants weren't very helpful.

Leilani has a pretty good variety of Chinese and Japanese inspired appetizers and entrees. Has some good drinks that go well with it basically. The food is high quality at pretty good prices. A lot of things to get here. It's not a very big menu but that makes it easier to choose obviously. This is Asian fusion so it's not like it's authentic but this is good for what it is though. A few things can get pricy but prices aren't that bad. The service is also great which helps. It's about $12 for the cheapest cocktails. They often have some rotating seasonal specials. It's about $15 for an entree. There's only a few that are vegetarian so that made it easy to pick something. I got the Truffle Shuffle, which is a maki roll. This has avocado, caramelized shallots, pickled daikon, and roasted shiitake mushrooms, and is topped with a tempura crunch with kimchi and wasabi. Full of flavor. This is a good choice if wanting light meals. For sure it's not authentic but it's not trying to be. It's a good mixture for American palates. There's a few things okay for vegans and vegetarians.

I finally came back with a smaller group on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. Our server, Tariq, was the BEST! He did a great job introducing us to Leilani, offering menu suggestions, refilling drinks, etc. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I tried the chicken katsu sando. The Japanese milk bread was so fluffy and fresh, the chicken added a nice crunch, and the toppings were a nice punch of flavor. On the menu, it said it came with yam chips or edamame so I asked for edamame. I think there was some confusion though cause my sandwich came with chips and I was charged for a side of edamame. The edamame had a lot of flavor. I never thought I would write this in a review but I almost wish it was more bland. Edamame aside, this place is great! Service was some of the best experiences I've had, I loved the decor, and most importantly, the food was delicious!

Always feels welcoming and warm (especially in the winter). I cannot say more than all of their food is delicious. The meat is great and fresh, the buffet veggies are tasty, and the extras they offer (sesame balls, spring rolls, etc.) are a nice touch! You can't go wrong with any of the broths, but don't be shy to try the spicy. It is not overwhelming and adds great flavor. The staff is great and always willing to answer any questions. They are quick to refill broth or bring any refills for meats. Perfect for a group or a delightful date. Many happy returns to this favorite!

This one's building looks like a beautiful lodge. While there is an online Yelp waitlist (that goes up to 6 people), we had a party of 8 so I called the restaurant and they were happy to put my name down for a reservation. We came to celebrate my dad's birthday. We brought a cake to share, and when we arrived, our server was gracious enough to store it in the fridge until we were ready. We had 6 adults and 2 kids. Kids under a certain height (I forget the details exactly) are free. So we didn't have to pay for the little ones, and not like toddlers appreciate hot pot anyway. It was more, "how do we make sure they don't touch the pot?!" which went totally fine. It's to position the high chairs the furthest away from the knobs/hot surfaces. On our end of the table, we got the half-half broth of classic marrow and the gold cabbage marrow. The golden marrow was SO GOOD. I would get this again and again, because it's hot/sour; the flavor of pickled cabbage and the spice of Szechuan peppercorns. Our server said the spice builds over time, and it did. It was so flavorful that I barely used my dipping sauce. If you like hot/spicy and sour, choose this broth, it is DELICIOUS. The sauce station and the prepared food buffet was located in the middle-back of the dining area. It's a little packed and cozy in there, especially during the dinner rush, you may need to wait a little longer or keep an eye on the area to determine when to get out of your seat. This same area has self-service personal ice cream cups, soda, additional toppings/veggies/proteins, buffet (fried rice, fried chicken, egg rolls, fried buns) AND the sauce station. What I did love is there was a gentleman who was making balloon animals/hats/characters for sale near the front of the restaurant. He says he does this occasionally when he doesn't have other gigs like parties or weddings, etc, so my kiddo and my niece each got a cat and a bunny, respectively. This made their day! And it was nice for them not to be strapped into a high chair the whole time, and have something to entertain them. Overall, 4 shining stars! It would have been great if they had private and semi-private rooms like the Bridgeport location, but I think this wasn't possible due to their building. It looked like they took over a from a Mangia Bubala Roadhouse (Italian and Jewish fare) which took over from a Connie's Pizza. This place has gone through some changes, but it looks like Happy Lamb will be there for the long-run.

They have three tables and six chairs if you want to dine in. One is towards the left side with two chairs. The other two tables are together in the middle, with chairs in case a group comes in. They have a nice seating area on the far right if you are waiting for your carry out. This is mostly a drive-thru and carry out. I would definitely come back to dine in, now that I know they have tables. Other reviews missed this vital part. To clarify on one of the recent reviews. The beef bulgogi bowl combo does not cost $32. It would cost $17.75 without tax. I ordered combo 1 (pork adobo and beef bulgogi onigiri, 4 lumpias, pineapple passion fruit drink, and cassava cake). I also ordered the pork adobo rice bowl, egg sandwich, and matcha white chocolate brownie. I have food for two meals. Overall, it's about a 3.5 - 4 for me. I'll lean in more towards a 4 because I'll come back and try more items. -pork adobo onigiri 2.5 - this one was just okay. It could use more meat and sauce. It was mostly bland. -beef bulgogi onigiri 4 - this was better than the pork adobo. It had more meat but it could use more sauce. -lumpias 5 - they were crispy and flavorful. -cassava cake 5 - it came cold. This is a traditional Filipino dessert. It was light, smooth, and custardy. I could eat two more of these. -pork adobo rice bowl 4.5 - the rice wasn't burnt. There is a generous amount of meat. There are about two meals worth in here. The pork slices were soft and tender. There were a couple pieces that could have been softer. -egg sandwich 5 - you get two sandwiches. The whole sandwich was pretty good. It had a savory taste to it. I would order this again. -matcha white chocolate brownie 5 - it came warm. It was rich, not too sweet, and slightly crumbly. I tasted both the matcha and the white chocolate.
