What an amazing experience with Mark from Lyons!…read more 5+ stars for service, quality, and value. My husband asked several plumbers for quotes, and Mark was the first to reply, right away. He gave us a fair estimate based on the problem description and scheduled a visit immediately. True to his word, he quoted the exact cost when he arrived. During his first visit, Mark was thorough, answered every question, and explained everything clearly. He fixed half the issue on the spot and returned the next day to finish the job. Because the old valve was badly installed and the surrounding "box" cracked when it was removed, Mark went above and beyond. He replaced the whole box and the new valves, a service that would normally cost an extra$200, but he didn't charge us a cent for it. He tested everything before leaving, and when I mentioned our weak‑pressure shower, he instantly diagnosed the cause, explained what caused it, and showed me the issue, and fixed it at no additional cost. I also asked about the slow draining sink, and Mark handed me a tool to remove the debris and showed me how to access the clog. Again, this was free of charge. Mark assured us that Lyons' labor and parts come with a one‑year warranty and that the components used are built to last. In today's world, it's hard to trust someone you don't know, but Mark made us feel completely comfortable and at ease. We're thrilled with the service and will gladly refer Mark and Lyons to anyone needing plumbing or drainage help! We will no longer be looking for another plumber again.

There was an initial mixup about the appointment time, but that was soon sorted, and Saul contacted me prior to his arrival and arrived on time. Quickly getting to work, he identified the problem with our gas insert. He was able to fix the immediate problem to return it to working order and then explained what was happening and why. He also provided what next steps would be for a more permanent solution. It was a very professional, friendly service call.

The main problem and downside is that they are very expensive and overcharge. Despite the Yelp page saying that the company provides a "free estimate", I was quoted $49 for the technician to travel. In addition, if I had not chosen to go ahead with the repair, the company would have charged me an additional $150 diagnostic fee. Essentially, despite the yelp profile stating a "free estimate", it will cost you closer to $200 to get a quote. I see this as false advertisement. In addition, when the technician concluded that the problem was the capacitor, I received a final quote of $600. When I googled the price of the same capacitor online, the price range was in between 75$ - 150$. Essentially, they are charging a premium of at least $450 per replacement for a single part (capacitor). Despite their professionalism and quality work, I do not recommend this company for the reasons stated above. If price is not a concern for you, and you would rather pay twice the market value for a job then you should definitely choose them. EDIT: I actually googled the price of a capacitor and offered to buy my own. I was told that by the technician that if I purchased my own capacitor that the company would not install it. In conclusion, they did not address any of my concerns. Unfortunately, after reading the other bad reviews, there seems to be a consistent pattern of discrepancies between what they tell customers and what they instruct technicians to say on site. Making an honest living is so much more rewarding than making it dishonest living.

The Drain Guys - Meet our team of dedicated experts!

First time customer here, and The Drain Guys will definitely be my first call for future plumbing…read morework. From my first interactions I was impressed with the customer service. I solicited quotes from three companies to reline my 80+ year-old sewer line. One never delivered; Second quoted but was near impossible to get questions answered regarding the quote. Drain Guys quoted on the spot, and was extremely responsive regarding follow-up questions. The CIPP liner process is technically complex, and the team experienced some unforeseen complications. However, the skill, positive attitude, and perseverance of every team member when things got tough truly impressed me. The team worked very hard over several days, overcame major obstacles, and ultimately delivered a drain line that will hopefully last another 80 years. Despite the challenges, I never doubted I was in good hands with The Drain Guys and I would absolutely call them again. Special thanks to Adrian, Kevon, Oliver, Johnny, and Jay -- I appreciate you all! Chris

They were able to come out first thing the following morning to take a look at the situation, turned the water valves all the way on, and sent me a detailed quote while they were still there (unfortunately they initially sent it to a wrong number so someone has my personal data :/ ). Pricing was on the higher end of what I expected, and I was planning to get estimates from other companies that responded on Yelp to compare, so I let them know I would be in contact. Later that evening, I went back downstairs and noticed a leak coming from the main water valve, which was not leaking prior to the drain guys' visit. I immediately sent a message with a video via yelp, and the rep responded saying they would contact the plumber and get back to me. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back, which is interesting as they were so quick to respond when I was potentially giving them business, but ghosted me when I held them accountable for causing a leak. Thankfully, a plumber from another company that responded to my yelp project came by and was able to tighten the valve to stop the leaking. Turns out the drain guys plumber had loosened the entire pipe/valve when he turned the knob all the way on, so it was a simple fix but something that they should have looked out for in the moment. Had I waited for the drain guys to come back my basement would have been flooded. I'm utterly disappointed in their lack of accountability and communication, and have no trust in their services if they were able to let me down on such a small matter.

I was booked for that Monday! The day of my appointment, I was called several hours before my appointment to say they had an earlier than expected time slot and wanted to know if they could come now. Unfortunately I couldn't do earlier than scheduled but appreciated them asking! My time slot was 4-6 pm. They showed up at 4:05! Wow! I can't tell you how many times companies give time slots and show up hours AFTER the time frame. But not Markool! They are on it! Jorge and Jose were my technicians. They were both very friendly and went right to diagnosing the issue. After about 30 minutes, they figured out I needed Freon. I asked the pricing and they had a tablet to look up the pricing right away. If you need Freon be warned it's expensive! Not this company's fault though it seems to be commonly expensive when I looked online out of curiosity. These two technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything. They were super polite as well. They emailed me my invoice with pictures of everything they did today. I highly recommend Markool for your cooking needs!

Brian from Flow "Master" Plumbing told me he needed to replace the pipe under the sink because it was too small. I have used a plumber once before, I was never told that but I was busy and so I said " do what you need to do to get the sink unclogged." These ppl charged me $550 to unclog my sink. They asked for a review, I gave them a great review. Then, the exact same sink clogs again so I called them back to fix it. It was a week-end. I couldn't stand over them again- kid has swim practice. Brian arrived unprepared had to leave to go rent a snake. Took all afternoon. Then said he "snaked" the pipe. The sink appears cleared, he charges me $700.00! My gut is saying WTF!? But I pay it. Always hopeful. Fast forward a couple weeks and SAME SINK has the same issue. Remember he charged me $550.00 the first time because he SAID the problem was that my pipe was too small. I have had my house since 2007. Never had that issue. Anyway, I contacted Brian. Told him the sink was having the same issue and that I felt he wasn't fixing the issue, just charging me excessively. I tell him he needs to either refund my money or come back and actually fix my sink. In typical fashion by those who don't care about their customers because a sucker will always exist (like me, with zero time to oversea the work) and they will always get paid, he simply blamed MY HOUSE. He had the balls to tell me my house was old (if I had a brand new house I wouldn't be calling a plumber, dipshit) and that's it. No, lets see what the real issue is, or "maybe we need to snake further out". Nothing. He then just ignored my request to fix my sink. My house was built in 1956 and completely renovated in 2012, btw. I ended up hiring a plumber from DC who came in, unclogged the sink for $250.00 and laughed when I told him Flow "Master" Plumbing told me my STANDARD pipe under my sink was too small and that is why my sink clogged. Did I mention that Flow "Master" Plumbing left a giant hole under my sink after they replaced my pipe the first time? Yeah. I need to pay someone else to rebuild under my sink now. Lesson learned.
