We ran into a big backup in Danbury, he jumped off the highway, made a few zigs and zags and got us onto 684 easy as can be. Nice driving on tight street corners in the Bronx. If only he had more of a personality he'd have rated 5 stars - he was kind of quiet Bus rating - 2 stars Bus seemed old and out of kilter. We rode on Bus #43, and the second TV monitor on the right was terrible - it blinked off and on the whole trip. On the way home there was a major malfunction of the Air Conditioning that had water pouring out of the overhead bins onto many passengers. Some of the water was brownish and disgusting. Must have been some sort of a drainage issue. So how did they "fix it"? Easy- they shut off the overhead AC on a day that saw triple digits of temperature.

It went perfectly with this company. They were able to provide 55 passenger buses for a very reasonable price. I also kept making last minute changes, Darren was so easy to work with. He told me not to worry and we could make changes as often as needed. Most importantly the buses arrived early, got everyone where they needed to be, and were clean and air conditioned.

We rented two school buses and they were both modern and clean and picked-up and dropped-off our guests on time to and from DoubleTree Inn in Leominster to Harrington Farm in Princeton MA which is about 25 min. one way. Except, we, the bride and the groom were left behind after the wedding was over. This was an honest mistake by the drivers and we understand that. We ended up driving back to the hotel by ourselves and was able to arrive safely. I had flagged this to First Student and while initially I was getting the runaround over the phone, they eventually made it right by offering me a small credit. The most feasible way to get from Hartford, CT to downtown Boston, MA was sitting on a private charter bus. I also checked Amtrak but they don't have a direct schedule between the two cities. And so, I initially found and booked FlixBus, but they cancelled my ticket 2 weeks before my arrival. I found Peter Pan Bus lines, which claimed to be the largest private charter bus in the New England area. Thought that was pretty cool and way more reliable than FlixBus. With that said, I was glad they had the same itinerary and provided a direct route to Boston without any stops. And of course, the price was pretty nice at $29, comparative to getting an Uber or Lyft. This is where these private bus companies shine over Uber and Lyft. Upon arrival that morning, I found the bus depot that was in the back of the Hartford Union Amtrak station. Thankfully my Uber drove past the area so I knew where to go instead of trying to find it. Only issue that we had was the fact that the initial bus we boarded had no functioning central air conditioning. So we sat in that warm hid thing for about 10 minutes before we switched buses, which made it way more comfortable the second time around. I had my electronic ticket out for the bus driver, Whom had a scanner and just scanned my phone and it was easy. Too easy in fact. The overall experience here at the Peter Pan Bus lines was pretty good and typical. They provided me with the basic ticket in which is what I paid for, physically transporting me from Hartford, CT to downtown Boston, MA. The trip took about 2 hours from departure to arrival. The driver was friendly as I boarded and exited the private charter bus. The seats were plush and definitely like a small private plane, with two seats per row. All rows came with an electric outlet, so you can charge your devices while riding the bus. I took full advantage of that and it was a good amenity to have on board. During my ride over, we took the main interstates and main thoroughfare straight into downtown Boston, arriving at the South station precisely on schedule. I chose the 9:30am departure and it arrived at 11:30am. The seats were pretty comfortable and had a good time just decompressing on what transpired over the last few days of getting up at 4am and putting out 26.2 miles over the course of 5 days in 5 different states. Now it was time to just chill out and enjoy the rest of my trip in Boston on a chill Saturday morning in May 2022. Other than the no air conditioning on the first bus, everything was smooth on this trip. This Peter Pan Bus line ran from Hartford, CT to Boston MA. It's base in CT was the union station terminal and in Boston, the south station. They have an online reservation system, so you would need to book your travel ahead of time before departure. That means they accept major credit cards only. Although I'm not sure whether or not they have a ticket booth inside the building of Union Station Hartford, but possibly you can buy it with cash if you are in Hartford and need a coach bus to get you where you want to go out of Hartford, CT. I'm not sure if they have overnight parking or any parking here, because it's a bus terminal. I'm sure they have something here, like a park and ride facility nearby, so it makes sense to have parking for people who make trips in and out of Hartford and don't want to commute that far each way. For those of you that use public transportation, Hartford has its own local bus system to get you to union station and Amtrak station is located here as well. No matter how you travel in New England, consider the Peter Pan bus lines for your travel. It'll Save money on everything and you can sleep on the bus. I did that and it was nice. 5.0 stars for the overall experience, even with the switch of the buses. Everything was on time. Prices was good too. Support local! A

On Monday I left my phone on the 918 Hartford to Willimantic bus. I called and left a message because you can't talk to a human...especially at a company such as PP Bus Lines because they know they have horrible customer service and are tired of people bitching at them. 6 phone calls and three emails later over the course of the last 5 days and they don't even have the decency to return and or acknowledge I've called or emailed. Not surprised at all they have a 1.9 out of 10 score and I hope my review brings it down to 1.8. CT Transit should consider finding another company that maybe would treat there riders better.

Cleanliness is always a bit of an issue but the workers here are always nice and helpful. Last time I traveled through here I was trying to make a connection and even though I asked the wrong person, he pointed me to the right person to ask. The time before that, I missed a connection because of a delayed train and the workers made sure that I was able to get on the next bus still. Not my favorite place to waste time, but if I have to be in a train station, there are certainly worse. Food options available include McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts.

Any reasonable trustworthy company would refund the ticket; I submitted proof of the delays and provided my flight information. They refuse to refund even though this is literally out of my control. So I've contacted my bank and reported it for a charge back. Stop taking advantage of your customers. If I could give zero stars I would. Too many companies jump at any opportunity to rob their customers. Enjoy dealing with my bank.

We would track our child on Life360, and she never went over the speed limit, and our child always mentioned how comfortable she was being on a drive on the bus. Worst bus company ever! I've called countless times over an incident report resulting in my child…read moregetting kicked off the bus for a few days. The only person I could get ahold of was the manager Marge who was no help, told me I would have to talk to the bus driver to resolve it. After taking my callback number a couple times & still no word from the bus driver, the manager ensures me an apology should be fine as the bus drivers are understanding. Yet they STILL denied my child on the bus!! I CALLED AGAIN after I heard from her school that the bus won't take her, the manager tells me to call back at a certain time to talk to the bus driver as they will be back in the building at that time. I called back on the dot & she sends me straight to the bus drivers voicemail. I called back asking to speak to the bus driver directly instead of going to voicemail & she tells me the bus driver has left for the day!! She had taken my number countless times to have the bus driver call me back, knew I've been trying to get in touch with the driver & yet I cannot get ahold of them!! I don't know what's worse, the management or the way this is being handled!!! Like the manager MARGE said "Kids are kids!!" How hard is it to call back a concerned mother??? Please make it make sense. If I could give this place negative stars I would! I've never dealt with such terrible service!! Needs new management!
