I was initially cautious because of the low number of reviews, but the consistent perfect scores from other customers made me optimistic. Now, after working with him, I can confidently say that Lucero's Windows and Doors is the real deal. Because our home required a custom-sized door, James came out twice to take measurements. After about two weeks, the custom entry door arrived, and he completed the installation in a single day. He told me our home was one of the oldest he's worked on, and the walls were very different from newer builds. Despite the challenges, he made everything fit perfectly, and the final result looks fantastic. We no longer feel a draft under the door, and it swings smoothly without any issues.

I would not recommend this company…read more My husband and I met with Ski at the end of a month, so what I'm about to say may be a result of any "end of month incentives," but I honestly cannot believe the encounter we had. Previously, we had received two other quotes from competitors. One of them highly recommended Simonton Daylight Max windows. When we talked to Ski about this option, he said while he sells them, he doesn't recommend them. He said they use tin on their screens and brackets. Instead, he pushed for Anlin (and when I say pushed, I mean, it was our only option given for our "price point"). The hardest part of this interaction was the hard sell we were given. First, we were given a price of $14K (3 windows and 1 slider), then he said he'd waive the labor fee, then he said there's a last-day-of-the-month discount, then there was a day-of discount but it was only good for TODAY ONLY!!! (Yes, that's how it was written on the estimate.) Even after all those discounts, it was still over $3K from the other bids we had gotten. All that said, we felt the pressure and we thought about giving in but really couldn't afford to pay over $8500. He was at $8800 (remember, it was first $14K). We asked him to come down another $300 and he said his manager said no, that we were getting the most amazing deal on windows. Then Ski proceeded to try to bribe us with an In N Out gift card he received for his birthday. This didn't sit well with me. It also didn't sit well that he told my dog to "watch where you're going," but that's me being a nutty dog owner, I guess. When he couldn't get to $8500, he tried calling their Anlin supplier but couldn't reach him (he called him three times and left messages). At the end of the day we couldn't reach a deal, and Ski left. No thank you or goodbye. It was obvious he was unhappy. Look, I get it. He was here for over an hour and didn't get a sale. I'd be frustrated too. But the pressure he put on us, the other options he didn't want to share, and that big price tag really put us off. I know a lot of people on these reviews speak highly of Ski, and maybe we caught him on an off day. But I knew when he left and I felt disappointed in myself for not making enough money to buy the "nicer" windows, it was a problem. If you're okay with a hard sell and negotiating over and over again, maybe this is the right company for you, but I'm happy going with another that didn't make me feel like crap at the end of the day.

We also went with a company that would not shy away from new construction windows since we knew we had termite damage around one of the windows. They did a great job and the extra cost for new construction was well worth it. The window company they use is located in Anaheim and has a showroom and is very comparable with Milgard and Anlin windows.
