We love sitting in the bar area. It's cozy and inviting. We have been here multiple times, including once for restaurant week and we were not disappointed. My husband had a steak with Chimichurri sauce and fries. I had a delicious homemade pasta with meat sauce. The wine list is wonderful and I can always find something I enjoy. The cocktails are top notch too. The service is excellent and most of the servers know the menu well and make great recommendations.

The food and drinks are delicious!! The seasonal drinks are a must try. They have indoor and outdoor seating and both are great depending on your preference. Each time I've been here, it was not crowded or loud, so it was perfect for meeting up with friends.

Stopped here before a show at Palace Theater. Nice decor & bar area. I sat at the bar because I had a coupon for 50% off a drink if I showed my theater ticket. I figured it would be like a house wine or domestic beer, but the bartender said I could order anything within reason so I had a fancy martini & it was expertly crafted. I got a side order of fries which was huge & a second craft dirty martini which was also well made. I'd definitely stop back. The bartender was very busy but quite efficient.

We had a very enjoyable evening at J Corks. It was a beautiful night to sit outside on their patio. The ambiance was great and the live music was a nice touch. The food was good. Three of us shared a bunch of things. We started with the mushroom bruschetta, which I think was the best dish of the night. Super flavorful. I also ordered a cup of their soup of the day, which was a white clam chowder, but they made sure to say it wasn't New England clam chowder. I thought it tasted like a cross between lobster bisque and NE clam chowder. It was good but maybe could have used a little more flavor. For entrees, we split the crabcakes and the shrimp and grits. The crabcakes were very well prepared. Lots of crab, limited filling. Excellent. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was the shrimp and grits. They were a bit too sweet for me and I didn't think the grits had much flavor. The coconut shrimp were mushy on the inside and had no texture to them. Leads me to believe they were premade frozen shrimp. Luckily the meal ended strong with a piece of limoncello cake. Awesome. All in all, the shrimp and grits, while not my favorite, were not enough to diminish the rest of our experience. I won't hesitate to return, especially on a nice summer evening.

Went here one night with my brother and his fiancee. It is one of his favorite restaurants in the area and really wanted to take me here. You have to get reservations because the place tends to get busy. There's a convenient parking garage right around the corner. I got the lobster poutine and scallop risotto. The fries were crispy and delicious, and you get a decent portion of lobster as well. The cheese was great and creamy. Great appetizer but probably want to share it with two other people. You get a lot! When I make risotto, it comes out creamy and super flavorful. When I go out, I like to get risotto if places have it so I can compare how I cook. I have had very different kinds of risotto but J Corks makes it closest to how I like it! The scallops were pretty big and cooked really well.

We went on Valentine's Day, and the evening started our wonderful, with cocktails at the bar and the lovely touch of the owner's grandson gifting a red rose to the ladies. But then the food came. It was a set menu priced $99 per person. All was going well, until one of our entrees arrived, and they sent out raw chicken. Not slightly questionable - clearly still raw. I wouldn't expect that at Denny's never mind a fine dining establishment. The server was apologetic and took the other plate back into the kitchen to keep it warm so that we could eat together. When the food came back out, my husband's crab cakes had gone dry. On my plate, they had simply removed the raw chicken - not finished cooking it or replacing it, but removed it so that there were only two small pieces of chicken, and a huge pile of gnocchi and a huge mess on the plate where they had not taken the time to clean it up. Which was obviously disappointing. When the bill came, my husband questioned whether something should have been taken off the check based on our experience. The owner came over and eventually took $100 off the bill, which was absolutely fine. But then she concluded with "are you satisfied now, because I would like your table back to give to someone else". I don't recall an owner ever being so rude to a couple who have just spent $400 in a restaurant. Customers spending that kind of money should never feel rushed or spoken to like that (we still had half a bottle of wine, which we might have finished there had our experience been different). All she did was encourage us to write this review and ensure that we will never go back.

Mr. Toad's is an old school dive bar that serves a limited food menu, and allows smoking! So right…read morethere that may be a turn off to quite a few people. However, on a Sunday night when it is only the second place in the area that is open prior to a show at The Palace Theatre, if the aforementioned things do not bother you and you're just looking for a quick bite and a drink, then this is a place for you. From the outside, if you're not a local, it looks like one of those places you might be afraid to open the door to ... but do not be deterred. Inside it is a little dark and obviously it'll be smoky if people are smoking (thankfully they were not the night that I stopped in), but everyone was friendly. And actually they had more things on the finger food menu than I anticipated, albeit your classic bar finger foods like pepperoni rolls, provolone sticks & what I ordered-fish & chips. And honestly, the fish and chips were a lot better than I expected them to be, it was a very large piece of fried fish, and it was not too greasy and a nice side of steak fries. Their cocktail sauce was more like a Sriracha mayo type cocktail sauce, but I actually preferred that to the traditional and I got some tartar sauce on the side as well. I did feel bad for the female bartender, because she was staffing the entire place, which not only included the bar, but the tables, and it was very hard for her to keep up. Obviously management failed to realize that there was a sold out show at the theater on Sunday night and that hardly any other places were open Sunday night. I had 3 Tito's & sodas and the fish & chips & my tab was only $24. I left a generous tip because I felt bad for the bartender. I would definitely stop in again especially if I was just gonna grab a pre-show drink. Oh & the music was great too. Reminded me of a true late 70's-80's bar.

It seemed like it was a complete burden for him to pour a simple beer. They also did not have any clean glasses, so we had to reuse our glasses on our second round. Have never seen something like this in a bar. Ended up at this place because there was nothing else open at the time, but would just avoid at all costs if I was end up in late night Greensburg again in the future.

The inside is a large, long space with plenty of seating. Your best deals are if you go during lunch hours when they have special pricing. Especially if you want to try out this type of meal but aren't sure if you are going to like it or not. They have a standard seafood boil menu. You can order your choice of seafood (or do the combos), choose your seasoning and your spice level. If someone in your party doesn't like boils, they also have a variety of fried items on their menu as well. There is also a full bar with a wide variety of drink options. I really enjoyed my meals here. I felt like it was a perfect amount of food and everything was packed with flavor. Skip the desserts, though. If you want something sweet, go somewhere else after. Their desserts are just made by someone else and defrosted to order. A fun place to experience a different type of meal. Definitely recommend.
