Great food and great service! Located in a country setting, the prices are great and it's always packed ,I would definitely recommend.

This is a really cute little place that we happened upon on our way to Arctic Circle and decided to stop here instead frankly. We were just getting off the highway to grab a bite to eat we didn't want Arby's so we ran across this. I happened to love Ma and Pa type diners and that's exactly what this is. It actually helped that there were so many semis park in front that's normally a good sign. The menu is actually pretty vast you can have breakfast all day are you going to have lunch and dinner. They have sandwiches Burgers salads fish and other home style cooked dinners. I read on the menu several times that he's slow cook their turkey and make their chicken fresh I like the idea. It was clean and well cared for. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Even just the black coffee at the table was pretty good. I got the turkey bacon ranch wrap sub chicken. It was actually delicious and just what I wanted. The partner got a taco salad and it was presented in the classic way with a hard shell in a bed of refried beans. Everything i read talked about the scones. Let me clarify it's called a some here but it's really fry bread... which is delicious but not a wine. We got one to go. They come with honey butter and powdered sugar. Little tiny cute diner water glasses but do you need more? I would come here again this is the type of place I want to try a few different things from not just a one and done place. read more

Found this jewel on the way back to Salt Lake City from a weekend in Boise. Sparkling clean, an indescribably good, hot 'scone' that has to be seen to be believed! I can finally write a positive review about this place. The new owners have been able to turn the food around. Granted, I personally have only ordered the omelet (Spinach, Sausage, and Mushrooms), it is very delicious. I did try my sons Taco Berria, which I think can only be ordered on Monday. Five stars is not enough. The menu was incredible with items that I have not seen on a menu in many years. The service is fantastic, very attentive. The Ambiance was awesome, it is a down home country cafe. I could not have been happier. The only negative is that I could not order everything in the menu. The breakfast was just what the local ranchers recommend. I had the ham steak and eggs. Large slab of ham and the eggs were perfect. The clientele are colorful for people on a road trip. We went for breakfast & everything was great. I had the 3 crepes and got one of each. The blueberry and strawberry are filled with what I would call pie filling. I liked it. My husband got the country fried steak which was full of flavor. We got the silver dollar pancakes for our daughter. They're like 3" round pancakes so perfect kid size. All of the waitresses were really kind and served us as quickly as they could. It was a busy morning, but I don't feel like we waited longer than I would have expected. We found this lovely cafe on way home from Zion NP. It was a great decision to stop there for lunch. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and we left with full bellies and a smile. Off the beaten path outside of Tremonton, Utah (waaaay North Utah) is this cozy family restaurant. Down home cooking and daily specials. I had a basic eggs, meat and hash browns with a scone. Not sure what's up with Utah calling these scones because they are Indian fry bread and are similar to sopapillas. Omg...puffy and slightly sweet...served with whipped butter. Honestly would've been happy with no hash browns and another one lol. Seems all the locals hang out there as there were several tables of folks enjoying coffee and a chat! Daily specials looked amazing but I had a long drive and didn't want to fall asleep! With limited home style food in this area, I strongly recommend it! read more

My son ordered the chicken strips meal with corn and fries his chicken was delicious and tender but the fries were super old and nasty and who goes to a restaurant for canned corn. Gross!! I ordered the slow roasted roast beef with mashed potatoes and green beans, ummmmm freaking no the beef smelled like I microwaved it a couple times I also couldn't put a fork through it. The potatoes were lumpy and the gravy was out of a can. Skip this nastiness. You will thank yourself, talk about cutting corners. read more

Excellent food not far off I-15!! The 2 of us shared a full plate of tender Chicken Fried Steak, good Mashed Potatoes with White Gravy, flavorful Green Beans with Bacon AND a Yummy scone! Then we topped it off with a strawberry scone with Real Whipped Cream (I don't think we've ever had the real cream on a scone in a restaurant! And the strawberries were sooo good too!). So glad for lots of parking space, making it easy to pull in for brunch with our 5th Wheel Camper Rig! We loved this unique little country cafe & will be back for sure!! read more

This is everything a hometown diner "should" be and doesn't have anything they "shouldn't" have. Rustic decor, some witty signs, pay at the counter, the smell of good food and fresh coffee no matter the time of the day. Stopped in around 4 for a late lunch / early dinner and was overwhelmed by the size of the menu and how broad it is. Greek food, Asian food, breakfast all day, some steaks, sandwiches, salads, etc. Challenge accepted. I opted for the Double stick of pork souvlaki. Excellent. Well marinated, cooked perfectly and served with a great lemon rice. The salad on the side was dressed with a great Greek dressing and the pita bread was fresh and hot. The wife opted for the chicken fried steak. It was HUGE. A little too thick but the mashed potatoes and gravy served with it were A+. She also had the beans with bacon and they were delish. The boy had the chicken pot pie and it was good as well. Scone on the side (because why not?) and it was fantastic. Pricing is extremely affordable but a little weird. An iced tea was $1.31 but a soda was $3. A side scone was under $3 as well. Can't wait to get back up this way and try some more of their menu. read more

Extensive menu for a small place. The restaurant is located several minutes east of the interstate. If you're not careful, you will blow past it and have to turn around as I did. The restaurant offers excellent service and even better food freshly prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered. Food was just ok. Nothing special. I had their "famous" country fried steak which was decent. Not great. OK flavor and not too tough. The gravy was just of. My OE eggs were overcooked and the hash browns... not sure where they got them but definitely not home made nor were they good. Sorry. I really wanted to find a stopping place near I-15 north of SLC traffic as we travel they and need a break from the drive. I'll keep on looking. read more

JCs roadside diner just 1/2 mile off I15 on way to I84 has a YUGE menu from pork Souvlaki to Open Faced Sammies to Tacos and Trout and a full page dedicated to Seniors plus lunch amd dinner specials. Full of locals, farmers and passers the lot looked busy and can see why, with home made pies for $3 a slice, banana split 3.99 a d Scones this side of I84 = frybread like an Elephant Ear wo the cinnamon sugar. The staff are so welcoming, dining is split between fireside tables and booths and diner counter with fixed round stools, the "Coffee Bar" as well as a lean-to sunroom. Read some tableside local funny takes on Memory Loss, Being Broke, Managing Idiots in Your Life haha as you wait for your meal. Decor is typical rundown brown esp in bathrooms but if you can get past that and focus on the plates, you will be mostly smiles. Our dinner entrees at lunch were super satiating. The stack of beef over the stuffing looked average size but had a good 7 pcs, not wafer thin either, but more of a chew than probably some prefer. Gave one to hubby to turf his surf well his laker, a Trout. Freshwater fish not on my watch list, a lil bite changed my mind. No muddy lake water tang, pan fried sans the lemon butter accompaniment it was still yum. Mash and Gravy had no lumps, medium consistency and good flavor. The corn was super fresh local, tender and sweet whole cobs, a first in a diner for dinner. Waitress said owner is picky on his corn only bringing it in at peak of crop not too young or old. Another prize choice, a buttered roll or scone; this side of I84 that means fried like Indian fry bread or an elephant ear. Honey butter on the side, we both ordered them as dessert as the waitress suggested. Puffy hot with crisp edges with some middle chew, it was the right choice. Only downside to that is the $3.99 Banana Split and homemade $2.99 slices await the next roadtrip ;) read more

Daughter wanted breakfast after her softball tournament. This place serves it all day so we gave it a shot. Ordered the French dip with onion rings. The bread was fine, the au juice had little flavor, the meat was dry and not good, plus only 2 thin slices on half. Daughter got the crepes, they came out pretty good, hashbrowns on the side had no flavor at all. Overheard some locals saying the owner had sold recently and that's why the changes. read more

First, the restaurant was a million degrees. (We were literally sweating)! There were flies all over us. (So gross). The service was slow. I ordered the steak, medium rare, it came out well done. I sent it back and it took about another 45 minutes to get another. Everyone else was done eating, and the children were ready to go. No apology, or offer to take it off the check. And still one of the worst steaks ever. Full of fat and grizzle, and mostly tasteless. My dinner came with an old baked potato and canned green beans. read more

Very nice. Definitely a country diner in the best way, yet, if you're visiting from SoCal and looking for salad, this is one of the best places in the area. Same owner for 30 years. We know this because in response to our "How long has this place been open?" question, the cashier turned to the owner, who was seated at the counter, and asked. They recently added a glass enclosure to their patio, which offers a nice view of their irises. JC's offers 'scones' as a bread choice. Their scone is more like a cross between fry bread and a sopapilla than a classic British scone, but it's delicious and slightly sweet. Our server, Dixie, helped us feel right at home.
