They're famous for their Carne Asada. I am not normally a fan of flank steak. It is often low quality and tough. But stick with me, the steak at Ruben's isn't low quality flank steak. It's locally sourced, high quality flank steak! It's tender and smoky, charred a little around the edges. It's muy bien! The Carne Asada is best experienced as part of the Mar y Tierra. It comes with many succulent grilled shrimp, served fajita style with lots of grilled onions, bell peppers and mushrooms and fresh tomatoes, lettuce and guacamole, and corn or flour tortillas. Even the rice and beans are part of the main attraction- not to be passed over! They delightfully complement the dish. The rice is cooked perfectly and the recruited beans are served with melted cheddar and jack cheese over the top. I've also had many of their other dishes here and they've all been delicious.
