There's usually no wait or a one vehicle wait to get an inspection. I've taken short 5-10-minute walks, while awaiting an inspection, and by the time I return, my car is ready to go. You can walk to a small park/playground or down to the converted mill. One knit is their waiting area, which is very small and not very attractive. I have been going there for inspections for around 20 years. They want cash upfront and you need to wait your turn when you show. Their waiting area is not very nice but it doesn't bother me. Based on that they are the closest place for me, that is where I go. I failed once and they allowed me to fix it myself within a day and there was no extra charge. I'm not sure if there is a state wide policy of the cost of a retest for MA inspections. I also use them for oil heat and they have good service. read more

This is a small family-owned old-school business. They are friendly, informal, and hard working. Once they get to work on a vehicle they are fast, fair, and efficient. I highly recommend them! I've brought my car here twice. The first experience was a 3.5/5. I needed to get my car inspected. I was told to come around a certain time. I came at that time and no one was there to do it because they had gotten a tow call. This was a little annoying, and I probably wouldn't have gone back if I'd made a special trip for this visit or had to leave early for it, but the woman was apologetic and I work close by so I decided to give them another try. The second time was the charm as I came in and they did the inspection in no time. The second experience was AMAZING. I had to get my oil changed. I called before close on a Wednesday and they got me in First thing the next morning. When I went to pick up my vehicle I found my car facing out towards the street so that I didn't have to turn it around ( a small gesture , but it's the little stuff that counts) and my front plate back on (I had left my new plate in the car - I never mentioned the plate). These were both nice gestures, but the grand finale was when I saw my bill. I saw some random fees so I asked what those were. I came to find that my back rear tire had a nail in it and was at 15% capacity. They went ahead and fixed that for me for 10 bucks. I got my front plate changed , an oil change, and tire repair for a whopping $57. As someone who knows nothing about cars and tends to overpay for everything as a result my ignorance, this service at this price was very much appreciated. I will definitely be back. read more

I can not say enough good things about this business. Ted arrived on a AAA call and the kindness he bestowed upon me and my children when we found ourselves broken down on the side of the road, and hour and a half from home with two blown tires. Not only did Ted tow my car to his garage, but he also called his daughter in law to transport myself and my children as well in her truck. He and his workers then took the time to look for replacement tires for my car, all while keeping my four kids entertained in their waiting area. In the end I left there with my car repaired, my wallet in tact and my faith in humanity restored. What went from an awful situation soon turned into a sunshine day once Ted and his family entered the picture. I will forever be grateful for this garage and everyone that works there. They are, without a doubt, some of the most upstanding people I have ever come across. THANK YOU AGAIN. read more
