It would be better to go and get a bicycle than a pos from this place. I've seen more reliable cars at LKQ .

I would have definitely have purchased from them it they weren't almost 2 hours from my house. Unfortunately there are no local Mazda dealers in the Hilton Head area. Honda is a pretty good option as they're easy to make a reservation with online or on the phone and they're pretty fast. Moreover, the place is clean and has a good atmosphere. I dropped off my vehicle and was in and out quickly. After I dropped off the vehicle, they did a good job updating me on the work they did and anything else they found. That said, we all know what happens. "Dear Mr/Mrs so and so, while working on your vehicle we found..." and so the story goes. Honda does a good job but also explaining how important it is to get fixed and the cheapest alternative. It's not a pleasant conversation but unfortunately one that has to be made and they're very compassionate giving the news. Overall, for a dealership repair shop my experience was as good as could be expected. The people are nice and don't seem to try to "upsell" very much while giving the customer a clear report on what was done and what's needed. Just like anyone else, they keep your service records so they know the history when working on the vehicle. If you have a Honda, I give them a thumbs up with confidence!

A service package came with my car with free oil changes for approximately 2years. Overall I have been happy with the service here. Has there been a few headaches along the way...yes. Is service here a bit pricey...yes! But I feel that they can service my car with confidence and I get a breakdown of service recommend and needed and I can always choose what services I want completed. The staff has, for the most part, been very friendly and accommodating. One time my car got slightly damaged during a routine service. (A lug nut got broken rotating tires) They swiftly set me up with a courtesy car and obviously fix the car for free and gave me a discount on the original service I had gone in for. The waiting room is spacious and seats comfy. They also have free WiFi.

I was looking for a SUV and had 2 models I was considering. Local Carmax had one model available that was more than I wanted to spend. I told the sales person what ai wanted to spend not how much I had available to spend. They were hesitant to show me the model in stock because it was above the price I mentioned. They actually said they didn't want to show me it because it was nicer than my budget and I might not be satisfied with the other lower priced different model. We did a test drive and they requested a different model from another location that was in my stated price range. I went back for that test drive and was told I couldn't drive it on highway to see how it handled at highway speeds. The highway was less than a half mile from the dealership. Not sure who would buy a car without knowing how it handles and accelerates at different speeds. The "test" drive was a dive around the block essentially on residential streets. Not sure who would buy a car under those circumstances. Wouldn't buy a car from the local Carmax but would consider them again for selling. I bought a newer, lower mileage car for slightly more than the more expensive higher mileage model local CarMax had on my first visit.

When I got to the Charleston location, they notified us that it was ready who went to go pick it up. No one that was currently working. Could explain anything about how to get certain things to operate. They didn't have the time for us, and they didn't give a crap. So we signed off on the vehicle and drove off, assuming that we could get it figured out. By the next day we had come to the conclusion that the two main installed the functions that we ordered the car for or not actually installed. I understand we have a 10 day. But this was a very rare vehicle. The color was highly unique. The rest of the option set was fairly unique. The price the miles everything fit the bill. All they were able to do, or willing to do was give us $1000 off the price the vehicle. It's gonna cost us $4500 or more to get it installed at a dealership that can do the work. Unacceptable. Let's add to that that after we got home with the vehicle, we discovered it was nasty on the inside underneath the seats. And it was the bottom side of it hadn't been cleaned off. There were some kind of oily residue on one of the back windows. And they wanted to give us $50 to have a professionally cleaned. All around experience, not worth the hassle. We used CarMax because we could order and pay for everything online and they even managed to screw that up too. There is absolutely no concern from the corporate headquarters on fixing the problem, and refused to give us any peace of mind that they would try to correct the issue moving forward for any future customers. So beware if you use CarMax at any given location, you're probably gonna get incomplete service and pour attitudes. If I could give negative stars, I would

Whew, this is a VERY weird review to write…read more Long story short, I brought my 2016 Camaro SS in last week for some expected service, they turned up a lot more work to be done. I picked my car up Tuesday and... something had gone REALLY wrong. The details aren't important, what IS important is that they were gracious, didn't argue, didn't quiz me trying to make it look like it was my fault, didn't try to pull the wool over my eyes, didn't try to charge me for their goof. And that was really important, because I came back in expecting an argument and instead it was "geeze, we'll figure out what's wrong and make it right". Big kudos to Christine and Debbie for handling this A+. Picked my car up today, and the issue seems to be good now. I promised myself that next year when I won't need a backseat anymore to trade the Camaro in for a Corvette (we'll see how that goes, though), and if I do decide to do that, Crews will be seeing me. Instead, I…read moreexperienced repeated low oil warnings, excessive oil consumption, engine smoke, ESC/stalling concerns, steering assist/manual steering override warnings, and eventually a complete engine replacement. One of the most frustrating parts of this experience was the poorly documented onset of the oil consumption issue early on. Concerns regarding low oil and abnormal consumption were not properly documented initially, which ultimately resulted in numerous repeat trips back to the dealership. There were also instances where the oil level was reportedly stated to be full, only for warning messages and low oil conditions to continue shortly afterward. Despite a complete engine replacement, the issues continued. A faulty fuel line/fuel hose concern was later identified after the engine replacement, raising additional safety concerns and leaving me questioning why related components were not properly addressed during such a major repair. My vehicle spent more than 50 documented days out of service with multiple loaner vehicles provided throughout the repair process. One of the most alarming moments involved fuel-related concerns combined with ongoing warning messages that genuinely left me fearful for my safety while operating the vehicle. I documented repair attempts, dealership visits, communications, videos, photos, and escalation efforts through GM Customer Assistance, BBB AUTO LINE, and additional consumer channels. Despite the extensive repair history and supporting documentation, a buyback resolution was ultimately not approved through the BBB process due to a mileage eligibility issue, not because the defects did not exist. This experience has been financially, emotionally, and mentally exhausting. Based on my experience, I would not encourage anyone to purchase a Chevrolet vehicle. My advice to consumers: document everything from day one, including repair orders, mileage, warning messages, videos, emails, and loaner agreements.

The appointment scheduling for this service department is completely useless. The scheduling manager seems to think that it is necessary to have you bring your car in so that it can sit on their lot for 3-4 days before their technician can get to it. Which is clearly just lazy management. The system for establishing appointment times should be weighed against current back logs of vehicles needing to be looked at, not the number of cars sitting on the lot waiting to be looked at. This might not be an issue if they had a loaner program they could offer while your car sits untouched and not attended to for days on end. incompetent/lazy management or scheduling is to blame here. Be very careful when you leave this location after an oil change, as my experience nearly ended in catastrophe for my girlfriend's vehicle. She drives a brand-new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and brought it in for an abnormal rattling sound in the upper middle dash. Despite telling the department what the issue was in accurate detail, they decided to change out or adjust the steering column, which absolutely did not help. This incorrect, corrective measure required us to bring the vehicle in 3 separate times making her car unavailable for a total of 10 days. During our first visit they kindly changed the oil, which I don't believe actually happened, because the oil looked nearly black when most of it leaked out all over my driveway the next day due to the oil drain plug being left almost completely unsecured from the oil pan. Careless technicians and absent Quality control personnel is clearly to blame here. Cooper, the manager of service is absolutely responsible for Quality control of vehicles leaving his department and assured me that "the technicians always look over eachother's work" NOT THE CASE and wrong answer. It is the responsibility of the service manager or a specific Quality control person to ensure proper application of repairs to a $65,000 brand new vehicle. Completely unacceptable and would definitely steer clear of this dealership. Pics attached for your viewing pleasure. Also, cooper the "manager" assured me my driveway would be pressure washed due to his incompetence. He's avoiding my calls and won't respond to my voicemails.
