Had a delicious dinner from here! The dinner salad was a fresh spring mix with homemade Italian dressing. Dressing had the right amount of spices was very flavorful and light. Ordering via phone was easy and the person who was serving me was helpful. Delivery was fast and friendly. We ordered salads and knots (you get one with the salad, but my husband wanted more so I ordered an entire extra as well. The salads were good with fresh ingredients and crispy chopped Romain lettuce (not iceberg). The garlic knots were doughy and dense with very little garlic flavor (maybe they were just knots without garlic? I'm not completely sure). Either way they left us disappointed and thankful that we didn't order pizza. Usually the knots are made from the same dough as the pizza and if this is the case here...like I said, glad we didn't. The sauce that came with the knots was without flavor leading me to believe that their pizza must be bland. If I were ever in that area and had a hankering for a salad, I can trust that this place will offer good options. But if pizza is what I'm in the mood for, I'd be better off calling a national chain pizza joint. read more

Family of 4 - dine in Order consisted of lasagna with a side salad, a grilled chicken salad with no cheese and no olives with a side of both honey mustard and Italian dressings, and a small cheese pizza (for 2 children). First order given to us was the lasagna with a chicken Caesar salad. Tried to clear up the confusion only to discover that order was for someone named Karen (who is not in our party). So they left with our correct order & brought us the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was just removed from the Caesar salad because the Caesar dressing could still be seen on the chicken. My husband and I both finished our meals and our kids were getting bites of ours because they still had not gotten their cheese pizza. We've been finished with our meals a good 10-15 minutes and still no pizza. The food (we've gotten so far) tasted great but service leaves a lot to be desired. We haven't even been updated that they are working on it and apologizing for the wait. Very frustrating. read more

Stopped into J.Dels by the positive reviews we were a party of five. The wife and I love garlic knots so we got an order of them we each had chicken wings and I had a craving for pizza so I had a slice of pepperoni the other three people in our party one had meatballs and the other two had some type of meat pizza. We shared our garlic knots with the group and everyone thought they were tasteless very disappointing. Our chicken wings were okay but way too salty my slice of pizza that I called the standby pizza was a slice of cheese pizza that had a few slices of pepperoni thrown on top and heated. When I picked it up the pepperoni fell off on the plate. The others in the group said their pizza and meatballs were just okay. At this price point there are better sit down Italian restaurants in Pigeon Forge that you don't have to place your own order, pickup your food, and get your own drinks. While it took a little time to get the great pie we got to enjoy the (I assume) owner lip sync to Billy Joel and others while he made it. So 5 stars for the food and staff. This place is a gem! My husband and I wanted authentic pizza on our way back to ATL from our anniversary getaway and was contemplating to go here or the "Local Goat"....and we made the perfect choice. The staff and especially the owner was welcoming and friendly. It is great to eat at a restaurant where you feel like you've known the people there all your life even though it's your very first time. The dessert and the pizza we got was perfect. This restaurant definitely isn't the cheapest pizza joint in town, but it is well worth it . It doesn't just have pizzas either they have hotdogs and much more but the pizzas are the best option. They have three types of pizza the New York style being the most popular they are hand tossed and they have a authentic pizza flavor that you won't get at any other place. The only downside once again is it takes around 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready and the pizzas price tag. Another issue, not with the food but with the beverages. The machine sometimes doesn't disperse enough flavoring so if you get a beverage such as sprite it would taste like sparkling water, not great. My sister, niece, and I stumbled upon this place on a trip last week to Pigeon Forge and our only regret was that we didn't have more time to eat there again! This is the real deal as far as Italian food goes. The ingredients were fresh - the cheese being a particular stand-out! I had a sausage roll that was so fresh and hot and that I regretted I could not eat more. It would easily feed two! The sausage in the roll is not your average store-bought Italian sausage. It was some type of special sausage with a tender, moist texture and mild flavor that didn't dominate the other ingredients of the roll. The garlic knots and marinara were fresh and hot with perfect balance of salty/garlicky goodness in the roll. My sister and niece had pizza that did not disappoint in its promise of being like true NY pizza. We had a wonderful, unexpected visit with the owner who cruised through the dining room to ensure his patrons were having a great experience. He and his employees were all delightful.
