We went here on a Saturday night and surprisingly it was not packed. We placed our pizza order quickly and probably had to wait around 20 minutes for it. Came in here after seeking some great reviews and this place is great! We were so glad to find out the owner was from the Chicago area as we are and the pizza was just like being home! The husband owner is from NYC and made us some zeppolis served with raspberry sauce and they were sooooo good luckily my husband and kids ate most so I still had room for the scratch made cheesecake which was to DIE for!! Do yourself a favor and visit the place ASAP. It's on the back side of the strip so not super crowded and very clean. If we are back in the area we will hit this place up first thing! read more

I've eaten a ton of pizza in my life. This is probably the best pizza I've ever had. It's New York style with a hand tossed crispy crust. The 18" pizza is huge. We ordered two and we only finished one with 2 adults and 3 kids under 10. We all loved it. The owner threw in a free dessert for us while we dined in (fried dough w jam) and it was too die for. Okay so here's the deal. Drink machine wasn't working. Lady taking our order at the register had dirty, gross finger nails and couldn't work the register properly. My son doesn't like red sauce so we ordered his ziti pasta with no red sauce, butter only. Her response..." we don't have any butter". WHAT??? In town visiting from Orlando and found this as a quick stop to eat. The staff was very friendly. We ordered the garlic knots and 2 small pizzas. The garlic knots came of fast and the knots and the marinera were nice and fresh. The pizzas came out equally as fast and were delicious. The crust had a nice crunch and the pizza was nice and cheesy. We also tried the Zeppole and it was fantastic! Awesome flavor. I'm a person who orders a lot of pizza and a lot of hot wings. The only thing NY about the pizza was that the slices were shaped like a triangle. However, it tasted okay. The wings on the other hand were an entirely different situation. The way the wings were cooked was fine, but the sauce honestly tasted like it contained stomach acid. For the first time in my life, I threw away hot wings. It was a sad day, but I just couldn't eat something that to me tasted like someone had thrown up in it. Also, I tipped 20%, as I thought that we would be served, but we had to go to the counter to pick up and bus our own table. Also, almost $50 for a 14" pizza and 8 wings. We were in town for a few days on vacation from Florida- my Husband is a native of Chicago so he's a little picky when it comes to pizza! We weren't really impressed when it came to the food selection in Pigeon Forge so we've been making most of our meals at our Cabin. Then we came upon the pizza at j dels, it was AWESOME! Wonderful hidden gem near the heart of pigeon forge! We went on a Friday night and had our food within 10 min of ordering. Pizza was hot and yummy, and service was truly wonderful! They had stopped serving pizza by the slice when we went in so they gave us a discount on our pizza which was not at all expected but sincerely appreciated. Stopped by after reading reviews. In the few minutes we were there, I noticed the one table that was occupied was a family. The dad was trying to get some drink refills from the self serve drink station. None of the drinks were working. He patiently waited to catch the staffs' attention. So I finally said something for him. They told him there was a key on the side of the machine that he had to turn. How ridiculous. Then they couldn't accomodate us on the most simple of orders so we left. We went to another pizza joint on the strip which was great. read more

Wow what an impressive business!! Glad we found this from other reviews. We had a white cheese pizza and it was delicious. Amazing crust obviously they truly use high quality ingredients. We do try independent restaurants in our travels and always hunting for great pizza. We found great pizza here. We travel with plans to take food back home so we did get a large pizza. Our plans were to only make one visit but quickly decided our last night in town we would stop back here . Visit number 2 We had red sauce cheese pizza which was great also. I wanted to try lasagna and took most of that home. Nice large serving and just amazing taste. Our next trip to the Smokies I will be bringing a larger cooler to bring more home from this great find. We liked this so well we opted for dining here vs our usual pizza place. Owner operated and I did get to talk to him. Nice atmosphere. Pizza was delicious. I ordered a lasagna. The lady at the counter told me that it took 25 minutes just in case I didn't want to wait. She said the Ziti took half the time and had the same ingredients. When it came, it had way too much sauce. Never had a ziti before, but it wasn't the same as she said.
