I almost thought it was closed. It was 2:30pm on Saturday before Mother's Day and almost empty. I don't recall it ever not being full of people waiting at the bar for a table. Until today. The decor is ok although I don't care for the fringe lamps directly over your head. I was going to get ribs but decided on 10 oz prime rib ($32.00) comes with 1 side (I chose baked potato - only sour cream and butter is offered). No salad unless you pay extra! The warm bread was fine with two kinds of butter. My companion had the Kids spaghetti $(8.99). My prime rib came out and it looked about half the normal thickness it should be and in a puddle of juice. Even the server commented about why the kitchen did that. And it was warm, at best. No horseradish or other condiments were offered. No garnish on the plate. Just a thin slab of meat. The juice should have been in a separate cup. But the small baked potato was steaming hot! My companion had a giant pile of spaghetti with about a 1/4 cup of sauce on top! Too little for the mound of spaghetti. And it looked like cheap jar sauce and no meatballs. She didn't mind but I wasn't thrilled. And her fountain drink did not come with the meal ($3.99)! I had a lavender lemon drop martini that was ok. ($10). We were caravaning with a group of eight on a road trip to Toronto and decided a stop for some authentic Buffalo wings was mandatory before crossing the border. Duff's ended up being the perfect choice, especially with multiple cars since they have their own parking lot and were conveniently located not too far off our route. Inside there was plenty of seating for both small and large groups. We were able to push several tables together in the main dining room so all eight of us could sit together. Service was excellent. Since we were still on a schedule to get to Toronto, we appreciated how quickly the servers got everyone's orders in, and the food came out wicked fast. We went for the full Buffalo experience with several orders of wings in different flavors and heat levels, a few beef on wecks, and some Duff's beer. The wings definitely lived up to the hype. They were large, well sauced, and my medium had just the right amount of heat. Everyone who went hotter was equally impressed with the flavor. The beef on weck was another hit, packed with tender roast beef and plenty of flavor.
