I have not personally used this company, but employees do represent their own companies. A particular employee driving a red gmc sierra was recklessly driving and merging into lanes. There was almost a collision with my 3 year old in the car and they were on their phone the whole time. They should not be on the street driving this recklessly and representing the company. I have been meaning to write a review from the day the project completed but never got around to it. I am glad I was late to writing it. It started of as a 5-star experience and now it has become a 1-star and costly experience. JJ did a great job building the metal fence and guard rail and installing it. We were very happy with the work and told a few of our friends as well. Just less than a year into the installation, the fence started to rust. The paint started to peel off. A year into it, we hired another painter and he patched all the rusting locations and repainted the fence. It is little over 2 years now and it only has gotten worse. The fence is rusting in so many places that we have no choice to be hire a metal painter to remove the rust and repaint it. I heard this is going to be a costly job. As I am researching rust removal techniques, I am reading that we should apply a primer before painting it. If I remember clearly, JJ never seemed to have used a primer and that may be the reason that the paint on the fence and guard rails did not last even a year. We have guard rails in our balcony that came with the house and they have withstood the fog, rain and sun of the Berkeley weather. Even after 10 years, there is no sign of rusting. read more

When we had a conversation about what style gate I sent a picture of the exact style we were looking for. And once Juan and his team started the job it was a efficient, thorough, and professional job! Juan is a strait shooter who knows what he's doing. I had all new iron railings for an Apt.building fabricated, painted and installed all for about $4500. Heavy duty, looked good and passed inspections. His workers are hard working and easy to work with. I have little tolerance for incompetence, and they passed w/ flying colors. read more

Juan and his crew at J J Iron Work did a great job for me installing a metal fence and motorized gate at my house for a very reasonable price. The fence is beautiful. We are very happy with it. Making it all the better is that Juan is a great guy. The electrical wiring for the motorized gate wasn't completed yet when he installed the fence so he configured a temporary solution until the electrician finished the wiring. He even came by a couple times for free to follow up and make sure everything was working properly with the temporary fix. I would gladly recommend them to anyone. read more
