We had a main sewer backup and called J J Rooter based on these reviews. We were very happy with our choice. They squeezed us into their long day, arriving at 10:30pm and quickly and efficiently snaked the sewer line from the street and got rid of the clog. They followed up a couple of days later with a camera inspection of the pipes and found that some of the cast iron piping was corroded and had some joint issues that caused the clog to slowly build up. I absolutely 100% recommend Jorge and crew, and they're now my go-to people for everything plumbing. My experience with them started on a Thursday evening, when my partner found sewage bubbling up into our upstairs shower, and water leaking from upstairs into our garage. While I scrambled to move stuff out from underneath the leaks, she found JJ Rooter & Plumbing, and we gave them a call. Jorge and Saul were able to make it out quickly; after we described the issue and showed them the affected areas of my house, they gave me a preliminary diagnosis. They confirmed the issue with a camera inspection (for a fee, but which was used as a deposit against the work- all of which they explained clearly before starting). They pointed out a number of issues and gave us an estimate for the work- but earned our trust when they pointed out that we could save a couple thousand dollars by trying to get the city and/or the plumbing company that did the previous street work to come back to fix some of the issues they found there, and provided guidance on how to go about doing that. Over the next two days (Friday and Saturday), Jorge, Saul, Carlos, and Eduard worked to replace a serious amount of corroded piping throughout the house. They did so with minimal disruption to my partner and I (we're working from home due to the pandemic), were polite, and clearly explained everything they were going to do and confirmed the work and price was acceptable before starting. They also wore masks the entire time (this wasn't as big of a concern for us since we learned that we were all vaccinated after chatting with them for a bit), but we appreciated the gesture. They weren't able to replace any of the drywall that needed to be removed for them to do their work (which they explained before starting), but in spite of that they still left the house's plumbing substantially better, functionally and cosmetically, than it was when they started. Jorge and his team is competent, professional and friendly, and I highly recommend him and will continue to use him if I ever have any future plumbing needs. My project was a sizable one - 1) replacing the mainline due to a leak; 2) unclogging the lines due to the galvanized pipe sediment the new higher pressure piping pushed to the end of the line (faucets, toilet, etc.), and 3) I decided to replace the galvanized pipe with copper due to the sediment issues. Jorge responded to my message and was available the same day to provide a quote for the mainline (Friday), fixed it that next day (Saturday), and addressed the sediment issues we were having within a day (Sunday). He ensured the work met my expectations, cleaned up around the area once done, and returned belongings to their place under the sinks, etc. (Oh, and to top it all off - he also helped the neighbor across the street move a sofa into their house and recommended insulation for me for my attic). read more

We had a challenging project which was to identify 1) why my pool toilet is clogged and the sewer line is not draining the water, 2) how to fix it. Although Jorge and I thought we just need to reconnect the broken part of the line. After digging the hole quite a bit, however, surprisingly we found the sewer line the previous owners had installed for my pool restroom was not connected to the main sewer line from the beginning!!! Big thanks to them... After a long inspection, we decided to connect the line to my main sewer line. While doing so, we found our main sewer line had a leaking problem. I found J J Rooter and Plumbing during my search for a plumber that handled emergency calls. The first 3 or 4 companies I called didn't get back to me, in a timely manner, or wanted extra money for emergency calls, but couldn't get to us for a few hours. After reading J J's reviews I gave them call. I got a voicemail so I left a message and explained that the bathrooms in the office were clogged as they constantly have been doing recently. Jorge came out immediately and unclogged the toilets. I explained to him ever since another Plumber installed a lateral on the pipes, we've had all sorts of troubles, and spent money on plumbers to come out just to unclog the toilets. He offered to water-jet the pipes and run a camera through to help us find out what the issue is and my boss agreed. Jorge found the issue!!!! I was so happy that I actually found a company that goes the extra mile. Not only did he watch the video with us, he explained what we were looking at and pointed out where the issues were. The next day have gave us an estimate, and it was more reasonable than the other quotes and he could have it fixed sooner. They came out to do a Sewer Lateral Replacement, and it was done fast,and it was done right. He was true to his word, the cost remained the same, and he even worked the weekend so we could have a bathroom during the week. Everything is flowing smoothly (lol)and he took video of the pipes after the work was done and we are very satisfied with his services.
