I absolutely love this place! Best family owned pizza shop in the area. It's a bit more expensive then chains, but that's because it's family owned and you get quality. If you get a deluxe pizza, usually the dough is all soggy and greasy. Not at all here. They have more than just pizza. Their wings are great, salads as well as garlic bread. You know how most pizzas never have enough cheese? Not here. They're not shy with toppings. I love eating cold pizza and you can eat this cold as well. They also have soda and chips and subs. They deliver and you can pick up. There is no eating place inside here. When you call and order, ask for specials. There is always a special.

There is an outdoor and indoor seating option and an elevated atmosphere. We ordered three different pasta dishes, and I tried a bit of all of them. The portions for the price is pretty good for the quality. I enjoyed the Linguine the most, just wish there was a little more shrimp. The staff is so incredibly friendly, it's a classic Italian family restaurant. Overall really enjoyed the atmosphere and great food for the price, I'd recommend it for sure!

(They don't take reservations) I was hoping the vibe and atmosphere would be a little cozier and cute, but it kind of gave me hotel vibes. Our waiter was extremely attentive and polite. The arancini were pretty good, but I've had better. My gnocchi and my husbands spicy pasta were excellent! Great portion sizes too. The tiramisu was so good!!! The cream in it was so delicious and different from others I've had. I would definitely recommend this place and go back for a special occasion!

I visited Bar Italia for the first time in late May 2026 after many years of living in the area. My…read morenew friend and I arrived around 5:35pm on a Tuesday evening for dinner. We also arrived, funny enough, on Pasta night, so most of their Pastas for the evening were discounted at $14 a plate. By the way, shouldn't every night be pasta night since this is an Italian restaurant? - LOL. Anyway, I didn't even know Pasta night was a feature at the restaurant so it came as a pleasant surprise. FOOD -- My friend and I shared two main pasta dishes, the Garganelli Diavolo with Shrimp AND the Short Rib Garganelli. Both cost $14 for Pasta night but they are normally $21 each. -- Short Rib Garganelli (special price of $14 for Pasta night but normally $21) - braised short rib, sautéed mushrooms, and scallion butter): hearty meal but dry. It needed salt as well. I still liked it after added salt and crushed pepper. The addition of the mushrooms allowed for an even more meaty texture. -- Garganelli Diavolo with Shrimp (special price of $14 on Pasta night): tasty and my favourite of the night. Dry with dried sauce. Addition of salt and crushed pepper made it taste better. Well cooked shrimp. Overall, the 2 Pasta dishes that my friend and I ordered were good and it came with complimentary bread (it came on the side along with the pasta dishes). I asked for olive oil to dip the bread in and a waiter brought it up right away. Both pasta dishes had dried up sauce so the meal wasn't saucy and it also needed some salt. I actually don't like my pasta dishes with too much sauce at all but a little sauce would have gone a long way. My friend and I added salt and crushed pepper to both pasta dishes which made them taste better. They were delicious already but they definitely needed salt. SERVICE -- Excellent (100%). Friendly and attentive service. I entered for a 5:30pm reservation, arrived around 5:36pm, and was sorted right away. My friend arrived about 3 mins after me. We were checked in about twice during the night and brought waters when we arrived. I'm glad that I finally tried Bar Italia and I'll certainly be back. Parking is free street parking. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 100/250 total reviews in 2026 - 941 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

I'm not truffle connoisseur, but decided to try something new. Based on our conversation with the chef who approached our table after dinner, he was dreaming of hosting this dinner forever. There was always something that came in the way until this decadent evening. I'll share my experience from the special dinner. AMBIENCE: Palazzo is like a gallery meets fine Italian restaurant. There are plenty sculptures including Michelangelo's David replica. Paintings of ballerinas reminding me of Degas. Walls of wine bottles, predominance of stone accents, and a small vase fountain transport you to Italy. Touches like backlights and wine bottle walls make the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant has multiple dining room spaces. There is also a wooden bar. There is also a covered patio. During our visit the restaurant was extremely crammed. The dinner was sold out. Tables were so close together that it was challenging to navigate between them. Guests had to move their tables to let someone pass through - other patrons or staff. I did not feel comfortable with these seating arrangements. The restaurant was very extremely loud. I couldn't sit comfortably without bumping my chair into other guests. I'm not sure how the dining layout looks like during regular days. Hopefully there is more room at the restaurant. The bathroom is in the basement, so not ADA accessible. The ceiling in the bathroom was awkwardly low. FOOD: Our dinner was 6 course experience for $125 (no tax, no gratuity, and no drinks included). First course (Antipasto) was Pera Sacchetti - Pasta Pillows, Pear, Formaggio,Truffle Cream Sauce, Fig Balsamic. Second course (Insalata) was Arugula - Black Truffle Oil & Shaved Parmesan. Third course (La Pasta) was Cheese Tortelloni & Sea Scallops - Shaved Fresh Truffle, Butter, Garlic. Fourth course was (Pesce Pan Seared Halibut) Black Truffle Cream Sauce & Roasted Rainbow Carrots. Fifth course (Mare e Monti) was Grilled Filet Mignon Medallion & Petite Butter Poached Lobster Tail Truffle Butter & Cauliflower Purée. Sixth course (Dolce) was Truffle Cream Filled Cannoli. Every course featured generous amount truffles and was very well crafted. I loved Mare e Monti, filet mignon and lobster were well prepared. While the courses were pretty petite, the dinner was filling. Considering the dinner menu, it was good value. Beyond the dinner, my friends really enjoyed wines. I ordered Prickly Pear mocktail ($10). It was okay, but not really flavorful. It was too ginger beer forward. It was pleasant to seem multiple mocktail options. SERVICE: It was wonderful that the chef personally greeted every table. I enjoyed learning about his story. It was a nice touch for him to speak with the guests. The rest of the service was average. The hostess was not very pleasant which set a bad first impression. Our waiter was fantastic but awkward. He kept taking away wine glasses and bringing back the same glasses. There was a lot of confusion with drink orders, and the wrong bill included the wine. Perhaps this was due to handling a large crowd. EVENTS: The restaurant is planning other upcoming events. For instance, Lenten dinner ($55) on Wednesday and Friday (February 18-April 2). PARKING: The restaurant has a very small parking lot with an incline. Arrive very early if you want to secure a spot. There is really no street parking nearby. You can park at the RTA bus station across the street. Parking experience is inconvenient. I'm conflicted on how to rate this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner, presentation, mood, and personal chef approach. I didn't like the table arrangements, service, and parking. If the service was warmer and less rushed, I would be all about this restaurant.
