This place would be awesome to rent for an event. They project movies on the back of one of the buildings. The buildings are shoddily built but that's the idea. I wouldn't say it's super AUTHENTIC since they have Christmas lights on some buildings and oil drums for garbage cans. But it is really neat, and a fun place to check out. I kind of thought I might not find my way out of the maze -- it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be from the looks of it. read more

Amazing Place! Left the Elgin Christmas Tree farm and checked yelp for a great burger joint that was Kid friendly. Saw the pics and had to stop. The 3 Ladies that attended us, treated us like family. We are a large family of 9 and found something delicious for each of us! My hubby & oldest son had the Ghost Burger and my hubby couldn't put it down until it was finished and my teen said it was "The Best Burger he's Ever had!!!" He eats burgers almost daily, so that saying a lot! We walked the grounds to take pics with our kiddos and we had so much fun! We will definitely be back soon! read more

We stopped by after randomly seeing a Ghost Town sign. It's quaint and pretty awesome, considering it's free! They have several fake store fronts, a maze and a bar with food and occasional live music. They also have a outdoor theater and a beach volleyball pit, horse shoe courts and a tether all set up. It looked like a family was renting out a barn in the back, which is kinda cool for a kids birthday party. Definitely worth stopping for if you are driving out this way! read more

We went to this place for the first time in Sunday and it was super cool. It was early so the band hadn't started playing yet and there was hardly anyone there. My son got a huge kick out of exploring the buildings. Called this evening to inquire hours of operation, proceeded to have a pleasant conversation just as if we were old friends, so that set the positive tone. Arrived an hour later for dinner. Mesquite bacon cheeseburger = Yum Tater Tots = Damn Delicious Also, had another cheeseburger A Hot dog And corn dog, everything was equally delicious It was brisk tonight, they lit the patio butane heater thingy.. kudos for that one!! This place doesn't allow dogs... which is kind of strange considering all of it is outside. The worker stated that there were signs all over the property & on the website. However, there were NO signs whatsoever & a little posting on the site that you had to scroll far down to see. Also, she was not very nice about it and even commented on it behind our backs when we were walking away. Lastly, people mostly see this place on the way to or from Austin & many travel with dogs. Nobody can leave them in a hot car. I will not be returning. read more

This place is a nice little hidden gem that's fun for the whole family. They really do have the best burgers in town! We were pleasantly surprised because it was a last minute decision to go there. We had a wonderful time walking through all the houses and really enjoyed talking with the owner. Go check it out! Oh, and the owner said their Halloween event makes 13 year olds cry. I had the pleasure of attending a movie and s'mores making even here recently. It was really fun to walk around with friends, and there are tons of great photo ops inside and outside every building. It was a nice little getaway that wasn't very far from Austin. Also a major plus that should be mentioned, they have a real bathroom! So you can feel outdoorsy, but also wash your hands. read more

This was one of our favorites things while visiting Austin! George was so friendly to talk to and recommending other fun sites to visit. The wooden maze was a blast too. We enjoyed exploring this ghost town and all its different buildings. There was a jail, barber shop, bank, theatre, salon, and much more!!!! Not sure why they call it Ghost Town Austin, it is in Manor. FYI: I was told it's "May-nor" not, "Man-or"- We stopped to check it out one weekend afternoon. I believe these are old little ghost town buildings that were re-rooted to this location, but I could be wrong. I will say there are a lot of buildings and it's pretty neat to walk around and take photos. There's a big stage for music and even some of the building have bars and stages for music. I imagine it would be really cool if you needed a venue to through a party at, or even shoot some scenes for a video project. We didn't stay long or try the restaurant, just wanted to take a look. It's worth stopping by if you're in the area! If I was 8 years old, I would LOVE it and probably never want to leave. Did I mention it was free? read more

Burgers are a little flat, but tasty. Staff are hilarious, and for the price,food is good. Everytime I have gone, not once have any mean ghosts or spirits have followed me home, or haunted us or our home in any way. Ghost areas are cool, and horseshoes game looks fun. I have not been brutally murdered any of the dozens of times I have picked up food from there, so that's a big plus. My fiance and I were checking this place out for our upcoming wedding. It's probably the most awesome location ever for an event. The owner was the nicest guy and we loved the atmosphere. I am pretty obsessed with teepees and I pretty much freaked out over the gorgeous teepee he had built. We didn't eat but we did grab a couple Dos Equis and they were cold and cheap, just how beer should be. I would definitely recommend checking this place out to just go meet the cool locals who hang here and for any type of party. The ONLY downside to this place is we went after a heavy rain and the ground was a muddy mess. After that I had reservations with holding my wedding there because of the unpredictable weather. If I wasn't so freaked out about it raining on my wedding day, I would be getting married under that awesome teepee for sure. read more

Coolest place to go right outside of Austin!!! First off they have awesome hamburgers, but that is far from the reason to go. This is the coolest little ghost town around,. They have an outdoor movie theater where they show kids movie and grown up ones as well. Just walking around the place and seeing all the spooky buildings will keep you entertained. I would love to see them have some more bands play here, open more than just the weekends and maybe offer a bigger food/drink selection. Agree with what everyone else wrote. Fun, homey place. Great for kids (although they don't have milk or high charis/booster seats for the really little ones). The burgers are good, but a little salty. I had a simple 1/4lb; couldn't handle the big Ghost burger today. Crazy they don't charge any sort of entrance fee. read more

I went here for a friends wedding. They had rented the whole place for the evening. It was so much fun! They have a wooden fenced maze, outdoor screen for movies, and a bunch of little buildings to walk through (the saloon was my favorite!). I haven't been there during a regular day, just for the wedding, so I haven't experienced it while open to the public. I do plan on going back to see what else this attraction has to offer and I'm sure it will be just as fun! read more

Been a few times, free is best thing about it. Perry an incredible old blues pro guitar guy singing there, but usually it's just radio or amateurs making noise. They got an inflatable water slide but too many kids piling up on it $3 = what some parents believe is a babysitter. Very young and attentive staff when we last went. $1 hot dogs for the kids is okay, but we agreed with other reviews the burgers were so salty it's a very lame way to force you to buy more of their drinks which are overpriced like an air conditioned diner. Great venue if you have $$$$$ for rental. read more
