It was my fault not checking the reviews prior to hiring Milltown to repair my AC system. I have…read morenever felt the need to write a review before, but the service was so awful, hopefully this will prevent someone else from having my experience. I was charged $4500 to repair my AC unit. I was told that it was due to my thermostat causing the issue. Come to find out it was wired wrong (wired by Milltown previously). After 4 hours, the AC unit failed again. Milltown came out a 2nd time, and quoted me at least another $4000 to fix the actual problem, the refrigerant was leaking, but that cost could have gone up to $7000 depending where that leak was. They offered a bandaid fix for the time being. And the $4500 originally charged was just to clean the system, not actually make any repairs. This was not credited towards actually fixing the problem. Had I known that, I would have searched elsewhere.

I reached out via yelp messenger and got a response within the hour and they dispatched at technician over within 2 hours. The technician arrived Joey, and was professional and courteous. He identified the blockage and setup some tarps around the sink area to minimize dirt. He snaked the drain very thoroughly and resolved the blockage. Joey was chill whole time, explained some of the possible root causes behind blockage and preventative measures. The flat fee was way cheaper than the ridiculous profit charged by roto rooter last time. Will definitely use john sewes for future plumbing work.

Quoting process was very thorough, and we went over almost all options possible. Pricing was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive based on a few quotes that we got. So from my experience you get great value for the service. Scheduling is mostly where my experience was missing that 5th star. Change in scheduling happened about 3 times and so you'll have to be a little flexible because during material and labor shortages due to covid, I'm assuming this where the challenges are. Installation was mostly all clean and went smoothly without any unforeseen issues. This was in about 4 parts: inside unit and compressor one day, outside and inside and basement lines one day, electrician assessment quick look one day, then actual electrician and final turning switch on. There was a very minor issue that we ran into a couple of weeks later but they were able to resolve it within 24 hours at no extra cost. (Covered under warranty)
