I went to them with something lodged in my eye and was causing me great discomfort. They checked…read moremy eye and told me it whatever it was is no longer in there and sent me home. My eye continued to get worse and I could not sleep that night due to the pain. I decided to give them a chance again especially since I already paid and did not want to pay another doctor and went there first thing in the morning. She flipped my eyelid and found a speck of wood. Now my eye has to heal from the additional scratching. The young eye doctor was very sweet and caring and apologized. When I asked the front desk / billing person if they were billing my insurance again, she said yes, it is policy. I asked her to talk to the doctor as this was their mistake. I told her I should not have had to come back, miss work and also deal with the additional pain and be charged again for something they should have caught during the first visit. The lady at the front desk was very rude, did not care I suffered from eye pain and additional scratching or having to miss work and said she was billing my insurance again. I am a business owner myself and this is a horrible way to conduct business. I was very understanding when they didn't find the debris in my eye the first time and told them mistakes happen. What I am not understanding is why you are charging me twice for the same thing and don't apologize for missing it in the first place.

They should never schedule the appointments that close together with one provider one what seems to be very unhappy employee upfront probably because she's overworked and did on the job training. She's been with him for a few years. I'm gathering from her telling everyone her history and that he doesn't pay enough. She comes across very rude and not very welcoming or friendly, a place I don't think we will use again. The doctor makes up for a some of it for he is very pleasant. But he got my contacts wrong, I explained I can't see at all out of my left one and he and his 1 employee kept demanding I wear them for 7 days, really I can't see one bit out of the left eye, kinda doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But he really needs to invest in cleanliness and patient privacy, get rid of all that hoarding, so cluttered. Now for the Visionworks aspect - wow not a very good selection at all, she didn't even measure my frames to my face - thank god they fit, she is nice older woman but comes across a bit lonely, now this is a bit different than being friendly. Visionworks needs a better representation of their corporation here, dirty,cluttered clinics and not a very clean Visionworks side is pretty bad for a company.

My optometrist was Dr. Chad Carter. He took his time with me and was careful and thorough during the examination. He recommended and used lenses to demonstrate how the changes would impact my vision quality. While waiting to see Dr. Carter, I decided to review their extensive selection of frames. Mandy Roger-Gay, a Lead Optician, introduced herself and assisted me in finding frame options. My choices were made with her assistance before the exam (I knew I would need new frames as mine had broken). I have worn prescription eyewear for almost 60 years, since second grade. I have never had a more thorough and informative eye exam than the one conducted by Dr. Carter. I have never enjoyed more assistance and courteous service than Mandy's. Mandy took her time to measure for bi-focal lines carefully and made beneficial suggestions to ensure my new eyewear would provide me with the support I need to live and work with good eyesight. Dr Bond got me in fast, and ran a few tests. The answer was this: "I know what's wrong, but I cannot treat it. You need a retinal specialist." One phone call from Dr Bond, and 24 hours later I was in with one of the top retinal specialists in North Texas. 3 months later, I'm in UTSW with one of the top specialists in the country. The bottom line is, without Dr Bond, I would probably still be sitting at home, almost a year later, "waiting for it to get better"! I'm super thankful for such a knowledgeable doctor, with the expertise and resources to get me to the right people! 5 STARS. She probably saved my vision!
