i really try not to leave one star reviews. But this, was BAD.... It's a long one, so here goes…read more this location isn't far from me, and my normal person that I normally go to at a different location didn't have the time that I needed. So I decided to go to a different location, which is this one, which is a little bit closer to my house. and I click any "Sugarista"- and the time I needed didn't pop up. Then I proceeded to click the individual to see the time that I needed. I finally clicked on Liv (I think that was her name) for 525pm. I made an appointment at 5:25pm, because that is when I can make it after work. A couple minutes later I get an email saying my appointment has been rescheduled to 5:20 PM. OK... so I leave work and I rushed there from Timonium to Ellicott city, in traffic. I called the store to let them know that I'm gonna be five minutes late... Which would be 525, my original booking appointment... and a man answers the phone. He tells me no problem, but I can be taken whenever. I actually get there at exactly 5:20 PM. I get into the store and I don't hear or see anybody. I decided to wait a couple minutes and nothing. I decided to call out into the store for somebody, and I finally got an answer. This is 530pm. The owner of the store calls me, Toshi, telling me that my Sugarista is on her way. I go to the bathroom, I come out, and another Sugarista is at the front desk, who I thought was my Sugarista. But it wasn't. It was somebody else. I was informed that my Sugarista was not coming. This is 540ish-pm at this point. I'm still waiting. I've been waiting for 20mins. Then the Sugarista tells me that she's completely booked and she can take me at 6:30pm if I don't mind waiting. So I drove 45 minutes from Timonium in traffic, waited 25 minutes, and then I would've had to wait another 45 minutes to get serviced?!? Heck no. I walked out. On top of that, the owner, Toshi, calls me from the store phone, apologizing. In that message, she gives me her personal phone number. She proceeds to tell me how sorry she is for the inconvenience, and that she will give me a gift card for the full balance of the service. I tell her I normally go to the location in Perry Hall, but the girl I normally go to didn't have the time that I needed. She said that's totally understandable and Once she figures out how to send me a gift card, she would. She sent me a gift card for $25. My service costs $65. When I spoke to her today, she said that she wasn't going to send me the full amount for the service for another store, but cover the cost if I decided to come to her store.. after this experience, I don't think so. Even though Ellicott city is closer to me, I will be going to the one in Perry Hall, which is roughly 45 minutes away. I do think it is a little untrustworthy that she would tell me all of this on her personal phone and not the work phone so that it doesn't show up on my account. 0/10, will not be going back. But will 1000% be going to Perry Hall which is 40 mins away from me.

My first experience was at a chain operation and it was horrific. I was uncomfortable and in pain. Determined there had to be better options I was pleasantly pleased to find Wax Chic Boutique. The space is well appointed with lovely decor and there are items for purchase to enhance your skincare routine. I highly recommend if you are looking for a pleasant first time experience look no further. I can promise you you'll not want to go anywhere else or go back to your previous hair removal options.

She followed up with filling in my brows with a brow pencil (totally optional). Spent so much time talking about my brows I forgot to mention I got my underarms waxed too. Underarms on fleek as well.

Not only was the result completely different from what I wanted, but I also had a hot curling iron dropped on my arm and after hours of bleach on my head they also felt like it was a good idea to hold a blow dryer less than an inch away from my scalp, which left my scalp feeling sore for weeks after the appointment. I also ended up paying almost double the amount that I was originally quoted, which I'm sure had to do with the fact that there was more bleach used than necessary. This cost me $320 when I was originally quoted $170, keep in mind this was just for the coloring, I did not get a haircut. I also would not get a haircut here ever again because a few weeks prior to this appointment, I got a haircut here and the FRONT pieces were at least 2 inches different in length (which makes no sense to me since that should be the easiest part to see?). I reached out to the salon and spoke to the owner via email and received no compensation but instead an offer for a $75 voucher that could be used there in future appointments, which is nothing to me since I will not be going back nor would I recommend this salon to anyone that I know. Between the poor results, inaccurate pricing, scalp discomfort, and lack of accountability after, I recommend taking your hair elsewhere.

I went to the salon today for the first time and here is my honest review:…read more Pros: I really like the fact that this nail salon opened at 9 AM when most salons don't open till 10 or later. My usual, Nail Salon did not open until 10 and with me having to go to an event later, I wanted to get in as soon as possible, so I stopped at this salon. Inside it was very , classy, neat, and they offered water or wine. Cons: although the staff seem pretty nice and professional, the gentleman that worked on my pedicure and fall sad did not appease me. He was very quiet, not that friendly, and very rough! When going to a nail salon and spa, do you want to feel pampered and relaxed and I was on the edge the entire time because of how rough he handled my hands. I also feel he did not pay attention to detail because he did not give me what I asked for at the end, although they looked decent. My nails were a little bulky, and instead of clipping my cuticles with the cuticle nipper, he used the electric file which can be rough on a woman's nails. He kept asking me if I was sensitive. No! But you're a little rough lol, I'm not sure I will return to the salon, but if I do, I will just ask for another staff member. The other clients in the salon seemed very satisfied with their service. I also tipped him generously at the end and he just accepted it and walked away just not friendly.

I said no, firmly, several times. I told them I did not want to pay that much, knowing her nails (gel or not) get messed up fast because she plays hard. They asked directly more than six times, including asking her themselves when she was moved away from me after the pedi! She said "it only fifteen dollar more, total sixty four dollar". I said no, again. The techs spoke to each other under their breath at length following my exasperated declines. Also, why not let a little girl sit near their mom while they finish mom's nails? No effort at all to make it a nice experience. The pedi for my daughter took about 15 minutes, same with nails. When you book online, the amount of time is not 15 minutes. She spent most of the time staring out the window waiting for her nails to dry, afraid to move because the tech had yelled at her to not move. She's 9, and very well behaved, very quiet. Not necessary for their empty salon, to be so rude to any customer, much less a well behaved child. I had no nail polish on my fingers and gel polish on one foot. It usually pops right off because I did them myself. The gel took about 30 seconds to remove on the one foot, with a drill. She put regular polish on my toes, and gel on my fingers. She seemed annoyed to be doing my nails, hardly looked at them, and sort of just went through the motions. Example- with the buffer, she looked out the window and just sort of buffed my whole hand with one swipe. Same with base coat, wiping with alcohol, etc. Just an approximate brush by the tips of my fingers, not attention to each nail. The gel finish is lumpy, has large ridges, and the edges were sharp and required me to file them right when I got in the car. I was absolutely livid that they charged me $10 for "nail take off". They don't usually do that when you get gel again, and I DID GET GEL. They don't usually charge that for repeat customers and for people who had several services done. They shove a price list at you and tell you to choose what pedicure you want, every time. But it does not list the $35 option on there, which IS listed on the website. When you make an appointment, you select the services you want. When you get there, they act like they had no idea you were coming and try to convince you to get more things done. No reference to the booking system. Anyway, the lady told me, "you do the top one" and did not hand me the sheet of options. I said "I want the cheapest one, it's $35 online. The Spa Pedicure". She charged me for the $43 option, again ignoring my appointment and verbal requests. Their esthetic leaves a lot to be desired, as well. The whole place is dusty and dirty, the sign-in iPad is always broken. They say you can earn loyalty points but I've never actually been offered such a thing. Random things around the place are strangely wrapped in saran wrap. She shoved a UV nail light at me that had trash inside. The water features on the walls are dried up and burned out, but the LED lights are still blinking. The TVs show a free channel, a foreign cooking show usually. For 2 hours, I watched a man eat ribs. The same man, the same meat, in a back yard, for 2 hours. The other TV was just a screen saver. The music is usually very religious in nature and sometimes not in English. Their decor for holidays is tacky from the dollar store, displayed with the tags still on, well into the spring. In August, we still have red Christmas bows up. At Christmas time, I asked for the cat eyes, a special add-on. It took them 2.5 hours and they did a horrible job, even saying to come back tomorrow for them to do it again. The techs had no idea how to do it, but they advertise it as a service. Oh don't worry, even though they expected me to return so they could start all over again in the morning (and go home for the night), they still charged me the extra for the "cat eyes". I have been going here since they opened. Excited to have a place I could walk in, looked nice on inside. However, the CONSTANT pushy behavior is the one thing I can't get over. They often suggest you need a treatment like your eyebrows waxed, as if you look unpresentable. They ask the same questions over and over. They rush you through, even though they are rarely busy. The rest of the experience leaves such a lasting, repeated, nasty taste in my mouth that I won't be back. I tried to overlook things in favor of the convenience, including all of the negative neighborhood reviews, but I'll find somewhere else to spend my money. Don't go here if you want a relaxing or easy experience.
