Tried this for the first time finally!! So glad we did and it will be not be the last. Highly recommend the meatball with risotto appetizer, we tried the ceaser salad as well and that was good very fresh although the dressing was a little lighter than I prefer. The steaks and every side we tried were amazing. Steaks cooked perfectly and excellent cuts. Highly recommend the creamed spinach it was my favorite of all the sides and save room for dessert. The chocolate cake is heavenly. Every member of staff from valet to server was attentive and pleasant. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. 2025 September: visited on a Wednesday afternoon, wow the place was Poppin, lots of cocktails and sushi getting served. Also attended a private event and enjoyed the New York strip. Every employee from the waiters, bartenders, valets, and the manager were next level riendly and professional. My wife and I visited here for the first time this week. Not sure why we waited so long. We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary dinner and we wanted a place that we knew wouldn't disappoint. We've followed Shelly with her restaurants since she owned the Corner Bistro in Towne Lake, and of course RCB in Canton, so we knew we were in good hands. Service was outstanding, food was delicious -- we had the oysters Kalefellar for an appetizer, the lobster special for our entrees, and a complimentary white chocolate raspberry bread pudding for dessert. Everything was so good, including the martinis we ordered. We received complimentary flutes of champagne to toast our special day along with a card to commemorate the event. Favorite steak restaurant in this area. We've been here about 4 times already since we've moved here 2 years ago. And it never disappoints. For appetizers, we always do the charcuterie board. I love when a place gives honeycomb on their boards. You know it's good. And raw oysters. I always get the bone in rib-eye medium rare and it's cooked the perfection every single time. Sides: Brussels sprouts and lobster Mac and cheese. The one item I dislike is the creamed corned. I like it on the sweeter side and this is definitely more savory. Service is always amazing. My friends and I were excited to attend the Galentine's Brunch after hearing great things, but unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations--especially given the $60 per person price. The family-style portions were insufficient for our table of six (e.g., shrimp and grits barely served three). We had to repeatedly ask about additional portions, and service felt unaccommodating, even for simple requests like hot tea. To make matters worse, my friend's card was charged $465, tip & taxes and the receipt was taken away without signature as we were trying to figure out how to handle the situation. Meanwhile, a nearby party with twice the guests received significantly more food. This experience left us deeply dissatisfied. We celebrated our 27th anniversary here. I cannot say enough about the level of service we received to make our night special and enjoyable. The charcuterie board was different than others we've had, packed full of a variety of delicious items. The Ribeye was beautifully split onto 2 plates, without asking, perfect temperature and sear and we loved the wine reduction! The garlic mashed potatoes had chunks of roasted garlic, so freakin good! The creamed corn was well seasoned and spicy. The blackberry mule is a must as well. For dessert, we had a decadent chocolate cake with layers of mousse and ganache. First time we visited the Resteraunt- the menu, while not too complicated, makes a choice of what to eat difficult. It all looks very good. Take note that sitting in the dining room offers an amazing ambiance and a different menu than the Bar or outside on the deck. I'd give this a 4.7 overall. It is a bit pricing but it is expected going to a premium establishment. The staff did go over the top for my wife and I celebrating our 7th Anniversary. They provided complimentary champagne, dessert which was amazing, and a warm card with the staff all signing it. I got the Kansas City Cut medium rare. A little too rare for my liking so next time I'll go medium. My wife got the salmon (well done) which she will probably get medium next time. A little bit of an educational curve as each premium steak house has their own ways of working. The Brussels were fire! Highly recommend. This place was completely incredible! We ordered a little bit of everything since we were with a bigger group and all food and service was great. We had two servers, both provided suggestions and were available whenever needed, attentive. Inside is a little dim but it's very cozy, the bar space is a little small but stops it from being too loud. The bar has a separate menu as well for snacks and small bites. Came early at 5 pm with reservation to only a hand full of customers seated and sit in the middle of the room two feet from another couple. Open tables all around to be seated on top of another couple made no sense, if busy yes. The server clearly not in the mood to be at work and when asked after about 20 minutes if they would be bringing out the bread that is normally brought out I was told you have to specifically as for it now. Food was ok nothing to brag about which in the past was not the case. Unfortunately this seems to be problem with their other location Riverstone Corner Bistro which has also gone down hill with quality and scores. From the expertly cooked steaks to the equally delectable appetizer and sides. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Everything was capped off with complimentary dessert and visits to the table from Management and Ownership to ask how our meals were. This was an amazing first impression for lesser know fine dining establishment. Little known facts about J.Michaels for the interested party. 1.) They get their steaks from the same butcher as Little Alley. 2.) They are a sister restaurant to more dressed down restaurant that is exactly amazing... River Corner Bistro. 3.) They asked if we were celebrating anything and we were. When we told them we were celebrating my daughter's birthday, they made sure we ordered dessert, which came with a candle for the birthday girl. J Michael is a hidden gem! The resturant offers free parking and complimentary valet. I highly recommend car pooling if you plan on dining in during peak hours or the weekends as parking may be limited. The resturant is spacious with a full bar upon entry. The service was impeccable. For appetizers, we ordered a dozen west coast oysters from Prince Edward Island and dozen east coast oysters from Virginia. Both were favorable but we enjoyed the PEI most. The oysters were accompanied by mignonette sauce and cocktail sauce w/ horseradish. For our entrees, we opted for $70 kind crab legs, $46 8oz wet age Filet w/ black truffle butter, bone marrow, and their bone in ribeye w bone marrow butter, sd corn, asparagus, and brussel sprouts. Crab legs were served chilled over ice. My 8oz filet was cooked to perfection. The black truffle butter has no truffle taste. I would opt out of this. The ribeye was juicy and fabulous complimented by the bone marrow butter. Service was 5/5. read more

We were a big group celebrating our friends birthday. We got Tuna tartare, Dry Aged New York Strip, Scallop Risotto and with a side dish of Brussels sprouts. My other friends got a bunch of other dishes too, most all enjoyed their meals. My boyfriend was really disappointed in his steak...he reported it as being a steak but not wow steak. On the contrary, I loved the tuna tartare, that spiciness was good. I loved the Scallop Risotto even though the dish was cold by the time it reached me. The scallops were cooked perfectly, I definitely will be back for that. The side dish of Brussels sprouts were also good, but a dash too sweet.
