    King crab 1 pound
    Angela R.

Crab nicely steamed, got the king and snow crab. Potatoes and corn on the cob perfectly cooked. The only thing I would like done differently is sauces left on the side for dipping instead of coating the crab legs. They do give you plastic gloves, but those quickly get away, slide off, or get torn by the crab legs.

The Kickin' Crab is located in a plaza across from Regal Cinemas. I ordered the lunch special, which is 1 lb of your choice of shrimp, mussels, or crawfish. I had 1 lb shrimp--no head with 1 corn and 1 egg for $14.99. I also had the garlic noodles appetizer, which is enough to share! The dining experience is casual and clean. Plenty of seating and nice service. It wasn't too busy, so my food was prepared quickly. The meal was hot and fresh and overall tasted good. I got the Kickin' Style sauce, which had an unexpected sweetness; also, the spice was more than medium as requested. Aside from these things, it was all good. I would definitely try again, likely with a different sauce and spice level.

Once my friend suggested we get a seafood boil for lunch, how could I say no? This restaurant is located near my workplace so I was already familiar with the area and all the other restaurant options in the plaza. We walked in and were immediately led to our table. We missed the lunch special by a few minutes but their drink special was going (3pm - 6pm), so we started by ordering $6 green tea shot cocktails. This is hands down the best place that I've had this drink at, with the perfect mixture ratio. I ended up ordering the $29.99 special that comes with 1 crab cluster, 1/2 lb of shrimp, corn, potato, and I switched the sausage for an egg. My friend ordered the 2 crab clusters special with the same sides but an extra corn and potato instead of the sausage. We both decided on the cajun sauce however I went with mild spicy while she got medium. Our bags came out after a few minutes and I appreciated how they poured them into trays for ease of digging in. Everything tasted PHENOMENAL with more than enough sauce included, the proper heat level, and the seafood cooked to perfection. Other side notes, there was well known music playing during our visit and the waiters checked up on us constantly instead of never returning to the table. I will definitely be coming back here and will be telling my friends to visit at least once for a tasty and affordable seafood boil.

This is my favorite seafood boil spot . The seasoning here is just right with a lot of garlic and Cajun flavor but it's not too salty either. The garlic noodles is my go to side and the noodles combined with the boil sauce makes it really good.My wife loves the live crawfish boil when it's in season. The service offers great hospitality and they are Attentive. They have tvs every where and plenty of booths for large party's. Overall if you're looking for great seafood boil spot , this is worth a try.

First time visit here tonight, I was craving a well seasoned crawfish boil and they did not disappoint! I mean the seasonings, the spice level and the juicy well sized crawfish were perfection! I felt like I was back home on in my cousins yard enjoying a boil with family! I fed my belly and spirit! The ambience is spacious, modern and very clean. I hate that I didn't get our severs name but he was excellent! I live a good 45 minutes or so away bit while crawfish are in season I'll be back again and again!

Finally got a chance to try The Kickin' Crab after wanting to for MONTHS, and this place didn't disappoint. From the speed of service, to the amazing portions, to the friendly staff - my husband and I will for sure be here again. I didn't know what to expect as I had not heard of this place before nor had I searched the menu in detail prior to arriving. I only knew they had fried shrimp and for me (in that moment) it was enough. The interior was quite large and seated many customers. I visited on a Saturday night and it was quite busy but not overcrowded by any means. My husband and I ordered a handful of items: Shrimp Tacos, Garlic Noodles, KC Gumbo, and the Fried Shrimp and Fries. All was great. All had amazing flavor. I would say that from each of the items we ordered, the Gumbo would be the only one that I wouldn't consider to be a sharing size. If you like "garlic," the Garlic Noodles are for you. Not sure if the Shrimp Garlic Noodles option has fried or grilled shrimp, but either way I'm sure it would be just as fabulous. Our server Theo was super polite and if not for the food alone, I would be back simply for his great service!

This was our first time here, wanting to find a seafood boil place near Alpharetta (Avalon) area. 20 mins (or less) is this gem. Rating: If I could give 100 stars, I would. Let me start by saying my husband and I are ULTIMATE foodies. We look for the quality of food, the freshness, the quantity, and wait time. If you are looking for a seafood boil place like Juicy Crab ... this is 1000 times BETTER! Ambiance & Service: We arrived around 7PM on a Friday night (before spring break) and were immediately seated. This restaurant is a laid back, easy breezy type of vibe. Dai (pronounced Dye) was our server and man oh man am I glad we got him. Not only was he friendly but honest! And you know that goes a LOOOONG way especially if you've never been to a restaurant before. He made recommendations and that truly made our experience even better. Food: Now the part you've been waiting for. THE FOOD! We were allowed to sample the medium "Kickin Style" seasoning . Dai did mention it was spicy and it was the perfect amount. We both decided to use this seasoning on our combos. My food. To drink I had the frozen lime margarita & the Kickin' Combo Deal #2 with snow crab legs (3 clusters), shrimp (head off which we were told was an up charge ahead of time), & crawfish with 2 corns, 2 potatoes, & 4 sausages (already sliced). My husband's food. To drink he had the Sweetwater 420 & the Kickin' Combo Deal #2 with the whole lobster (suggested by Dai), shrimp, and crawfish with 2 corns, 2 potatoes, & 4 sausages. He also included 2 eggs (up charge) These combos did NOT disappoint nor the service as Andy the manager came over as well and checked in. I can go on & on about how great this place is but if you've made it this far ... it's time to experience for yourself, you won't regret it!

First time customer. I will say the sauce I choose (all of them) is the best I've had at a crab spot. Perfectly created not salty or very spicy just right. I will def be back. You can tell the seafood is not cooked in the sauce they put the sauce on it. Other than that it was good.

The outside, plenty of parking .

I so glad I read the review and discovered this gem. My seafood boil was absolutely delicious. I ordered the snow crab special with their KC sauce. The young lady (Ani), let me try it before ordering. It was soooo good . I will definitely the coming back here again . Thank you .

We have heard raving reviews about the Kickin' Crab and finally had a chance to try them out! Wow! This place is excellent and the hype is true! We came at an off hour so it wasn't busy and the service was friendly and helpful. We ordered a dozen oysters, garlic noodles with the combo sauce at the mild spicy level (was great! Maybe next time we might order medium spicy level), and combo #3 with a Dungeness crab, with clams, shrimp, and craw fish, and a margarita, sprite and coke to drink. What a great place to have a seafood boil. The food was excellent, the vibe was kick back and hip and relaxed, and the entire experience was a 5 star feast! The garlic noodles come with the sauce you order, again I recommend the sauce that comes with 4 sauces combined, and you mix it with the garlic noodles. It's delicious! Parking is easy and the prices are reasonable to a bit high. Thank you to the staff and owners for bringing such a fabulous restaurant to John's Creek!

It has a great outdoor patio, indoor dining, and a full bar with libations to satisfy every palette. Everything is super clean, from the tables and booths to the floors, and they also offer some fun retail items if you want to take something home. I ordered the Greggah lobster roll warm with their mustard sauce. It came on a top-loaded, buttery toasted bun filled with warm, fresh lobster. Absolute perfection. I also had the crab balls, calamari, and a house salad. The crab balls had a nice spice without going overboard and were served with a flavorful house-made sauce. The calamari was cooked well done, just how I like it--crispy, tender, and not rubbery at all. The sweet and hot sauce they serve it with is divine. The Louie sauce is my personal favorite. They make almost everything from scratch in-house, including the sauces and their slaw. The slaw is cool, creamy, tangy, and sweet--exactly like the kind I grew up eating. The house salad was generously portioned and full of crisp, fresh ingredients, all clearly prepped in-house. I came back the next day for lunch and caught the house-made clam strips special. I got the clam strip basket with sautéed vegetables--same side I had the night before because they were that good. The vegetables are crisp and vibrant, not mushy or overcooked like you sometimes get elsewhere. I also had a cup of clam chowder that was thick, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can taste the coast in every bite. The chain was founded in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, and it still carries that same coastal character. The staff here--bartenders and servers alike--are extremely friendly and helpful, which just adds to the overall experience.

There is an open kitchen style towards the back of the restaurant, and at the center, there is a bar area. The restaurant is relatively dark, fair warning. There was a unique selection of appetizers and entrees. So I had a hard time choosing, but for appetizers we ended up getting Tuna Tower, Wagyu sliders, and the Goku roll. Naturally we were a bit dull after that, but I wanted to try an entree so I ordered the seafood gumbo and my partner ordered the lobster mac and cheese (he says he gets this here every time). All the appetizers we got were AMAZING. I don't have a single complaint about the taste, quality, or flavor. The display was also very neat and nice. I will say the lobster mac and cheese and the seafood gumbo were a bit too salty for my palate, but I can tell that the flavor was there. They were very generous with the seafood for every meal, so that was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and come again. There were so many other entrées and sushi rolls I wanted to try, so I will update this review as I do so!
