This pop up restaurant was amazing. It was definitely the best meal that I've had in Yuma and probably all time. The drinks were original and on point. I'm still thinking of the Cesar salad. My husband had the Wagu steak which has now ruined him with all steaks. The crab stuffed shrimp was delicious, even the vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mood and ambiance is very relaxing and our server Anna was the best, very attentive, always checking on us and gave some great advice on the food and drinks. This salad isn't your typical Cesar it has sun dried tomatoes, amazing dressing and crisp fresh lettuce. The flavor was so good, even the table next to us was complimenting the salad. I am a foodie, and this is the best restaurant I have ever eaten in. We started with a bottle of White Hall Lane Cabernet, which was delicious. We followed that with the octopus shrimp appetizer, not to be beaten anywhere, perfectly charred and so flavorful. Our entrees included the scallops and the ribeye, which were both excellent and preceded with a delicious Caesar salad with housemade parmesan dressing and white anchovies. This a unique dining experience that you will forget you are in Yuma. They have great vegetarian options as well as carnivore options. All the food has been delicious but my dish of choice is the stuffed squash flower, vegetarian option. My husband loves the shrimp dish and the N.Y. Strip. For desert, the Tepache Float is sooo good! The caipirinha cocktails are so refreshing and my husband loves the old fashions as well as the Tepache Dream. Will start from the beginning. We were looking for a nice place to dine tonight. Yelp listed JT Prime as a 5 star dining place. We made a reservation. Ha. We entered the address on google maps which took us to a strip center where Dominos was located along with signage for JT's a sandwich shop. We called and were told that they are next door. No signage for the restaurant except on the door there was a small logo. Noting that the sign reads closed on Tuesdays. Which today is Tuesday. Lo and behold they are open. Upon entering, one goes past a black curtain into a dark sitting area where eclectic art is on the walls a couple of chairs, couch and hi tops. The music playing was teckno to Mexican to motown. It was definitely on the loud side for conversation. We ordered apps and drinks. The cocktails were fair at best. Our order of Ahi came with 2 small pieces of bread. We asked for more bread so we could each have a piece with the Ahi. Ya right. They charged us for the couple pieces of extra bread. Mind you. We are the only ones in the restaurant. Finally dinner time. We are led down a dark hall to the back of the building, then thru the kitchen to a table. Where again we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were seated. The restaurant charges $8.00 for a bottle of water if you do not want tap. Thats right. You heard me correct. $8.00. While waiting to order there was a horrendous noise coming from the kitchen so it was difficult to carry a conversation. My order was the braised beef. The order had 2 small pieces of beef. The flavors were very good. Our table came with a picnic set of salt and pepper shakers. No table cloth and Very tacky. Definitely not 5 stars in my wildest dreams read more

Wine list rivals the "big city fancy" restaurants (trust me we have been to many across the US) in a small venue. Love the vibe, and the owner Alex is very involved with every dish! Delicious Ceaser salad, crab stuffed shrimp, filet was perfection and squash blossoms were a divine unexpected treat! I would now call this restaurant one of the best kept secrets in Yuma. My wife & I are often disappointed to see large waiting times at some of the other restaurants & national chains. When I was able to make a reservation at a favorable time, I started to have my doubts about JT Prime. However, we were very pleasantly surprised! Yes, it initially makes you wonder as you see the entrance in an aged strip mall and part a black curtain to gain entrance. Our food was fantastic! The only downside for me was that I enjoyed my wife's choice of entree more than my own and I thoroughly enjoyed mine. She had the pork belly with blackberry sauce which was divine. my friend was here and she is a chef wanted to take us to a nice dinner. We have been a few times was always pleased . Friday night I have to say I don't think I have ever had any worse food anywhere it was godawful the scall were the only thing that was edible everything else was so salty. No one seemed to care, my husband has kidney disease and is not supposed to have salt. Our bill was over $300 with a tip. I will never go back nor will I recommend it to anyone. Use caution. This is a wanna-be operation. It's beyond pretentious. The cocktail list doesn't show the prices, you have to ask. Their standard Manhattan is $16; I asked if it could be made with rye. Well, that would be $40, because the only rye they stock is Whistle Pig 12-year. No one in the kitchen has the skill to bring something like this off. Meatballs and the caesar salad were so badly over-salted, they were essentially inedible. Hand-made ravioli were tough as shoe leather. Everything is done with a very heavy hand. Disappointing with a high price tag. Four different drinks were all syrupy. Two appetizers and two meals were either really salty or did not taste fresh. Specifically the Del Mar Duo shrimp was dry.
